  • There’s already a lot to like about the Toyota Tundra pickup truck. And there’s even more to like now that its iForce 5.7 liter V8 engine is sipping a steady diet of boost thanks to a Magnuson Supercharger. The better news is, the folks at Magnuson make the supercharger installation as easy as can be, thanks to a complete kit with pretty much everything you’ll need and really detailed instructions. Follow along as we install the Eaton TVS 1900 blower and then see the results as we put our foot in the loud pedal.

    TRD used to make a 'factory' blower when the 2nd generation Tundra came out. Factory tune, factory warranty. I'll never forget how awesome it was.

    Good review video! Short and to the point. I’ve always been interested in either the Magnuson or Whipple supercharger series. This video was a great reminder.

    Awesome!!! Were you thinking about the Whipple also? I have a 2021 Dodge Durango RT, Tow N Go (all SRT parts but has the 5.7 engine). I'm on the fence between Magnuson and Whipple 3.0 Gen 6 that's coming out. However, I'm reading a bunch of bad reviews on Whipple in numerous Online auto forums. And the Whipple only provides a 1-year warranty versus Magnuson's 3-year. Your thoughts? 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

    What gas do you have to use? Can you stick with Reg, or need to use Premium.

    I have a 2013 tundra with 161K miles on it. Is the truck too old/used to put one of these on it? Do I risk ruining my engine, transmission etc?

    • @troy8134
      @troy8134 Před měsícem

      Have the motor refreshed and you’ll be good to go. Even with a brand new truck you always run the risk of ruining something depends on how you take care of the truck and how you treat it

    Wonder how long the engine will last.

      You’ll have to make sure you stay on top on maintenance especially regarding oil, fuel, and coolant (changing coolant out every 50k instead of 100k would be advisable). Making sure you have a fresh fuel filter and strong OEM pump would also be advisable, but as long as it’s sub 8psi it’ll run for a long time. These engine are built like tanks. Keep it cool, keep it lubed, and make sure it has plenty of high quality fuel. That’s the key with boosted engines like these.

    • @SummitRacing
      @SummitRacing  Před 3 měsíci

      We'd recommend a weekend for install. First time installs 15-20 hours. But we've seen guys that are really handy do the install in 8 hours . Thanks for watching !
