    Thanks for this information. I received my Aiwa on yesterday (10/23) and was totally blown away by the sound. No other Bluetooth speaker compares in my opinion. THEN, while playing music via my iPhone 6, the phone rang. After that, the volume diminished and it did not matter what I would do I was not able to get the sound volume back. I did as much troubleshooting as I could...took battery out, unplugged, used a different iPhone, iPod Touch, and then aux but even the volume button on the Aiwa did not work. The sound was there but the volume wasn't.
    This occurred within the first hour of set up I agree with you, 88 when giving a shout out to Joe Born, CEO of Aiwa who responded within a couple of hours of my email concern. Later last night the sound was find via my iPhone....however..
    The pause/play and EQ buttons are not responsive. The buttons are touch capacitive so I had to just keep touching all along the top screen. I did not know what the heck I was doing because sometimes it worked right away and other times it did not. I will follow up with Aiwa for replacement. Keeping my fingers crossed because Aiwa has produced a great sounding speaker.

    Still one of the best bluetooth speakers - the battery died on mine after 4 years too, I think I left it empty too long not sure. Seems so soon. Took the battery pack apart but still figuring out the best approach to either jumpstart these cells or just replace em with matching battery cells that are totally available to buy new but requires above average soldering skill and being very careful with correct polarity of each cell matching the original system exactly (positives and negatives in the correct order). Taking photos/video and notes of the current setup prior for good measure with electrical work.

    Ugh...
    The same thing just happened to me yesterday- I had the unit for less than three months, and the exact same thing is going on.
    It worked fine until I started using the the equalizer. Then a few days later, it just shut off, and I couldn't turn it back on. Then I took it home, and plugged it in, and it came back on for a minute. I just sent Joe an email asking how to return this. It's too bad because it sounds great when it's working, but to have it shut off in the middle of a song and then not turn back on, even when plugged in is beyond frustrating. I'll let you know what happens

    Used mine for a few years but the battery stopped recharging at all (not as gradual of a decline like most battery devices).
    I'd often use it for movies too. I love some EQ tweaking but I wouldn't risk maxed out all EQ + Volume on a speaker for too long. Some have DSP software that prevents overload damage but for longevity sake I try to keep max vol around the 90% range. One surefire way to damage most speakers is an external amp maxed out - boom. High quality / high watt subs and mids can take it and survive but the tweeters usually pop first in that scenario - all highs gone.

  • @pireina1
    @pireina1 Před 2 lety

    I purchased mine around 3 years ago and is it did the same thing yesterday
    I was listening to music loud in the backyard while I was doing yard work and it turn off by itself while powered, cause it was already low in battery.
    I had to wait a whole day for it to respond when I connected it to power. Maybe an overload protection??
    Now, one thing I did was cranked the 2 bass bars to the max for the first time since I was all over the yard and I wanted that bass sound. I usually se the bass EQ to one bar down from the top and 2 bars from the top the second bass level and never had an issue.
    Again first time I did crank both bass Bars to the max and it did this weird defect or it could be that I was listening with the volume almost to the max.
    Either way that sucks. I will try again with different volume levels and not so high eq bass levels and see what gives
    Other than that, I don’t think there is a Bluetooth speaker out there than can outperform this one and if there is one, I need to know about it. The EQ is key in this thing.

    I've had mine for 2 weeks now and the only problem I'm having now is that my on/off switch is now unresponsive so it's always on. It does have the power save mode but it's kinda irritating knowing that I can't really turn it off completely. I haven't tried updating the system yet if that would even help but other than that issue its an amazing speaker

  • @jonschreurs1808
    @jonschreurs1808 Před 5 lety

    Unless it is a defective unit this speaker cannot be blown out unless you are ripping songs where someone has messed with the dB levels on purpose or playing intentionally distorted music - while simultaneously playing those types of music through a device that has no self correcting dB clip level built into your device EQ. Even in that case it will usually self correct itself and turn down on its own. I have my iTunes pre-amp increased 3dB to get way more sound out of this thing than any phone will get out of it. If you are trying to hook up another amp or piggy back another amp/pre amp you can blow any speaker. This cannot be done through Bluetooth but if you are plugging in something via a physical cable you can smoke any electronic device if you don't check your levels. Any buzzing/rattling is likely due to not having the speaker in an open place where the port can do its job. Don't ever put this speaker on a bookshelf or something that is enclosed. Hope this info helps anyone with concerns about the speaker.

    I think it is far from the goat! It says not even come close to comparing to the Marshall Woburn 1. At volume 3.5 and the exos 9 at Max played simultaneously through my S10 Plus and individually. Maybe a tiny bit more musical but definitely not 200 Watts continuous power. That right there might as well be like A cardio or something ridiculous she would buy at Walmart. Honestly overrated! Not horrible sound but definitely not the volume everybody speaks of!!!!!

    • @Talube101
      @Talube101 Před 4 lety

      @ Triton James, It is indeed the G.O.A.T.in its price range and beyond. You have some bad information about the Aiwa Exos 9. The 200 watts continuous power and other specs of this unit are accurate. As you will find on CZcams, this speaker is compared to so many other bluetooth speakers...because it's one of the best out there then and now.
      As you will see, it holds is own against every speaker it's compared to whatever your sound preference might be and no matter the price point of other speakers, the Aiwa Exos 9 holds its own. I think for the most part it boils down to your preference but please...don't try to discredit this amazing speaker with your personal bias. Please be fair and honest.

      I'm not an audio file but pretty close and I like clean sounding music with punchy accurate base...
      Both mids and lows...
