Aiwa Exos-9 Speaker (USA) - amzn.to/2hu2xkj
Aiwa Exos-9 Speaker (International) - geni.us/hfkbCF
This is one of the best portable bluetooth speakers I've ever had on the Unbox Therapy desk.
Here is some more info from the manufacturer -
The Exos-9 is the only portable bluetooth speaker that boasts 5 active speaker drivers, including a 6.5 inch dual voice coil subwoofer, in its category.
Other speakers in the category have NO active subwoofer and are simply not as powerful. The Exos-9 features 200 watts of continuous power where the others top out around 40 watts.
How are we able to provide more powerful, better quality sound at a better value than the others? We believe in putting more resources into our products than into TV ads and celebrity endorsements. This allows us to build the very best products and offer them at the best value.
Linking two Exos-9s is easy and provides either stereo separated (L+R) or dual stereo (LR + LR) sound. Entertain a 75-guest party that will surely draw the attention of your neighbors and local authorities.
Crank the bass, mids, or highs. Or crank them all. We won't judge. With 4 available pre-sets you can trust our taste or fine tune the EQ to your liking. The customizable EQ makes the Exos-9 perfect for every genre of music as well as podcasts and audiobooks.
Sharing is caring, unless your friends have poor taste in music. Share control of your Exos-9 or apply the Bluetooth lock to keep it paired to your device exclusively.

Unbox Therapy đ
Really Early
It makes the 90s teenager in me happy to know that Aiwa still be making good sound systems..:)
I have an Aiwa home theatre system from the 90's. Its still on of the best speakers I've ever owned
I owned a little Aiwa boom box back in the day....i loved it...had a LCD display on the front...i thought i was DA BOMB
my first and last 'walkman' was aiwa
I know I couldn't get over that Aiwa is still making products!!! We had an Aiwa cd disc changer/holder in the 90s...
Sorry, but that Aiwa is long gone. The brand name has been sold and resold.
Brought this three years ago and this thing is still pumping to this day
Is it still holding up?
Any problems?
Finding a replacement battery is impossible! Any ideas?
@@tybear79 contact aiwa themselves
@@tybear79 Awia themselves. Keep an eye out for when it's back in stock or email them. Insanely good customer support.
@@Infected_Miller None that I've had in the 4 years I've owned it. Small bluetooth glitch, but updating the firmware was super easy. I got the extended battery and it still lasts me 5 12 hour shifts at work at half volume or so.
Wow! Aiwa is back! Haven't seen that name since my parents bought their Aiwa shelf system in 1998...
That system was the best in those days.
Bring back 1998...
Vincent D , your way to young to remember but back in the 1970s, Awai had very nice rack systems. reel to reel, cassette decks, record players, full spectrum analizer with equilizer.nice stuff. and the speakers back then we're massive.
not like all the small pussy multi driver speakers like they have today.
I still have a pair of vintage Sansui speakers.
12 inch dual port woofer
3X5 inch super horn tweeter with L-Pad
5 inch mid-range and 2 4 inch regular tweeters.
those things still pound out the best clear loud bassy music I've heard from ANY SPEAKER to date!!!!!!!
I remember their amazing walkmen, full aluminium cases, ultra thin and bloody costly.
I still rock a set of Aiwa speaker my wife picked up back in college. She got them in 1994! And, they still sound awesome!
I think it's made by harmon cardon
Who had an Aiwa or Sony walkman back in the day? ...
shaolindreams walkman
i still have them both somewhere
shaolindreams wit tha street style headphones
shaolindreams me still have it now
i had the sony xplode stereo with the 4 inch sub. lol
Whats the beat at the end!? Damn that was fire
yeah tat was a good one
i'm looking for it if i find it i will give you a link
D-JazzMan looking for it too.
Yeah I'm seriously anxious to play it on my sound system in my room with my two subs
***** if you want something to play in the mean time try this Tropkillaz - MAMBO (Bass Boosted) this shit shakes the whole house when i play it with my 2x6inch woofers
'i feel uncomfortable, that man has too much bass'..................... had me rollin'
Me too
Facts
I have had my expos 9 for over a year now. And I love it! I brought it in my suitcase to Hawaii and there was a note that customs searched my bag. They probably thought it was something else! Favorite speaker for everything
I thought aiwa died long back. Good to see it back on the field. Childhood memories.
They did, this is just a branding stunt, like with Polaroid etc
zawzero They came back in 2015.
Poaoe Strakani
They did not come back. It is just the name slapped on some cheap china builds because AIWA trademark was sold by Sony. Learn your backgrounds.
+zawzero cheap china builds that costs 300 usd!
Ankur Debbarma
That's what I meant with "Marketing stunt"
I LOVED my Aiwa walkman back in the day. The EQ on it was incredible. So much bass and treble.
My great-grandfather purchased an AIWA 200w stereo back in the year 2000. It featured a bi-amp system (Highs: 25w x 2, Lows: 75w x 2), a 3-disc CD changer, a dual cassette deck, a karaoke function with 1/4" Mic input, Analog and Optical Outputs, 2 analog inputs (MD and Video/Aux), and the famous BBE Sonic Maximizer system.
In 2006, my great-grandfather traded me said stereo for my 120w Sony Stereo I had at the time because at the time I needed a louder stereo to keep up with my bass amp for practicing. My great-grandfather eventually passed away in 2013 at the age of 101.
The current state of the stereo is that it still functions well for Line input usages such as Phonograph and 1/8" Line In. The karaoke function still works and the 1/4" input is used fairly often where it is currently located. The CD player doesn't work as well as it used to with skipping happening throughout playback. The dual tape deck is unusable due to the door latches being broken (my fault). The sound, however, is still as powerful and balanced as it was on the day it was purchased.
The stereo now serves the private music school where I currently teach bass and guitar lessons. :)
The first sentence killed me! Bahahahaha "My great-grandfather..."
Seriously, hardly that long ago
LCTuba89
What a touching story:)
I have this speaker, and Iâm really excited that youâre reviewing it! This thing deserves every 5 star review it has on Amazon AND it is one of, if not the only speaker in this price category that has all five star reviews from over a 1,000 reviews. The best part of Aiwa is definitely their customer service, they have great people that help you out within an hour of contact. I love this speaker, I saved for it for awhile and when I finally made the purchase I never looked back! Havenât had any issues with it since!
this video sold this speaker to me, and now OWN ONE! lol. And I can tell you I did not regret buying it
Same dude. I bought it about a week after this episode came out. Lol
@@dylankessler123 does it still stand up after 2 years?
@@MJB1993 Oh yeah. And we just had a barbecue at our place. The battery lasted the whole day (well, more like 9 hours) and still had 2 bars of battery.
In 2019 now itâs still great, but JBLâs new party box tops it now for the same price. The Exos-9 is still one of the top speakers though
Cicjob had mine a couple years now. Still love it.
AIWA - hell! That's the blast from the past!
Not really, this is just the name.
zawzero you're not old enough then :)
kotopsycho
I am old enough. I meant this device is a cheap chinese device with the AIWA label slapped on it because someone bought the rights to the name. AIWA JPN CO is not producing anymore.
zawzero real shame then... they were a good brand. I have a VHS player and a TV... both still work after about 20 years.
kotopsycho
I also have a AIWA Boombox in the closet. AIWA stopped in the early 2000s, was then bought by Sony and eventually the sold the rights in 2014 to a company selling cheap android and Bluetooth gear. The result can be seen here ;)
Itâs 2023. Iâve had my unit for years and it still pumps hard. Best purchase ever!
I had an Aiwa boombox back in the day, and the sound was incredible.
Aiwa's return to the audio market is fuckin huge, because they were definitely underrated and underappreciated. The Exos-9 is a definite power move.
Aiwa sure had some dope reel to reel tape decks back in the day! -I had a Panasonic Platinum cassette boombox way back in the day, and this device is SO much more. I want one of these!!!
James Courier , I had one and a Pioneer
In 2002 my dad bought a AIWA sound system itâs so beautiful and the sound quality was amazing. We still have it in our store room.
Aiwa used to make some small home stereos with huge sound in the 90s.
I personally had one. It was actually too loud! Not something thatâs can be said in its size and class.
didn't know Aiwa was still around! This brings back memories. Had a system of there's back in my university days, blasting turns in my dorm room!
My first boombox in 1985 was an aiwa, really good sound to it.
That was a different company.
Ur on too many threads here man. get off youtube, get yourself a nice shirt and find yourself a job
Robert Blasingame
Actually I am shitposting from my job.

What was the name of the song at the end đŁ
Didn't know Aiwa still made stuff. Thanks for the review!
Itâs grate to see a classic brand doing modern speakers
I remember Aiwa from back in the day when I had my old Hi-Fi system, I am definitely getting one of those Aiwa boombox
AIWA FTW! Love seeing that brand again! My first receiver, VCR and 5.1 system was from AIWA in the late 1990's and up until recently, minus the VCR, it served me well! Sony bought AIWA in the early 2000's. Glad to see they didn't completely put it out to pasture.
Best $300 Iâve ever spent... fantastic speaker with insane bass.
If you are still active could you let me know how its going with durability, has the sound deterioration over time any crackles etc and if not would you say you can sometime physically feel the music
@@JGilly-cp1tk Good timing! I'm actually using the speaker currently and I have to say there is no audible sound deterioration even from everyday use at full bass boost! I would actually say it sounds better now after all the use hah. You can absolutely physically hear the music with the right EQ settings. Even after some trips to the beach and around town this speaker still looks and performs like the day I got it! One of my best all time purchases.
@@JGilly-cp1tk They hold up really well. Ive had mine for about 2 years and its still a monster! I got mine refurbished and its still awesome. The only thing is.. you get one and your gunna want a second one to pair them up haha for even more sound!
beautyful Exos 9, with the power from early years with the NSX Series... I love Aiwa!
i own this speaker and it's amazing debating on getting a second one because you are able to hook up two at once to play left and right and is incredibly loud but most importantly it does not lose distortion or quality even at max volume which is really impressive for how loud it gets and the price. 100% recommend and their support is great.
Every review of this speaker has been extremely favorable.
June 2020 and still going strong!
One of the first sound systems I got was an older Aiwa (Iowa?) setup from the 90s I got from my dad and it sounded amazing for years and years after it should have been outclassed so I'm not surprised this sounds amazing.
Wow! I just got this speaker delivered and wow. Just wow! Thanks Lew
best thing about lew, Everything is his favorite thing to Unbox
I remember buying mine a few weeks after seeing this video lol, bought it 30th December 2016, still banging, truly is a good boombox. Actually 10 out of 10 I recommend!
I have one too. Love it. Iâm not sure you can even buy them anymore. I see some used ones on sale for like 2x what I paid for it!
I had an aiwa system with the 3 disc changer back in the days. I need to scoop this up! Great review. đ
Loved my Aiwa hi-fi walkman, had to jump on this retro-styled boombox, and it does NOT disappoint!
Aiwa is still a thing?
exactly my thought
dogepi I haven't heard the name Aiwa since the 90's. Remember buying one of their 3 Cd home bookshelf systems from Circuit City.
Steven D It returned in 2015.
Steven D they was bought from sony a vew years ago and now they start again
Justin CSG Huh. Didn't know that. Good to know.
It should come with a perfect sized backpack
Ilir Krasniqi really?
Ilir Krasniqi - Just toss some straps on it.
Jonah Boodjarrat hi
There's one available on Amazon.
Been rockin an EXOS-9 for a few years now - absolutely love it. Fantastic for movies too! Take it to friends places without surround and BOOM baby.
My exos-9 arrived today!!!amazed with the clarity and bass!!! Yeah its beefy but light and worth every penny
Your always making me. ask for stuff for Christmas
K
2020 this is still one of the best Bluetooth speakers on the market. You cannot beat the quality for the price.
Used to love Aiwa Iâm glad there still around. Good loud affordable hifiâs
One of my favorite brand! Unconditionally love! I thought they weren't working any more.... Really happy to know that! đâ€ïž
Lew, I think you should release a "Lew's top 10" play list.đđȘđ
Lets try BASS 305 on that thing!
Bass 305 with its super low frequency will blow those speakers out. Don't do it man lol.
I've had this speaker for three years, and I'm still in love with it. Nothing but quality, and the sound is absolutely amazing. The ability to be able to take it anywhere is phenomenal. Great buy. You get what you pay for.
Do you still have it if so how's it working?
Any problems?
this will be my go to, chilling outside, movies & everything!!!. just a all around sound with the Bass I want to shake & feel... đđđđŻđ„đ„
u can pair 2!!! Now im more interested!
I have a problem Lou... I cant stop the unboxed therapy!!
Literally purchased this speaker after watching this and seeing the insane amount of positive reviews on Amazon, I must say that this thing is the absolute best portable speaker I've purchased! I would totally recommend it to everyone in the market! I will eventually purchase a second just for the link mode! Great Value!
verry glad to see that AIWA is back. use to love aiwa's electronics in the 90's

Aiwa home stereos pounded. I loved mine!

I still have my AIWA musical device in my living room.. it doesn't work well anymore but it still has it's place there.
YOOOOOOO I been waiting for you to make a video on the aiwa exos 9 đ I got it when it first came out which I think was a year ago and it's soooo amazing for a dope price too đ
Lew, you need to o more of these price checks, because you usually get me excited for something out of my price range.
HokageNot! 300$ isn't that much... a beats pill is 200$ and it's shit. Stop complaining, this is great for the price.
tizoro3
I didn't particularly say this one. I was talking about like the video game one the backpack one.
If you aint talking about this one, then don't comment about it on THIS video.
Your both rude AF. He stated that some things are to pricey for the average tech head. Like a $2500 long board. Yeah electric and cool. But shit, thats almost a months rent. I get his point. @tizoro3 @Kyezie131
VicariousClouds I'm rude?
Is Blaupunkt still around? That would be a blast from the past too
They're still around, but their products are shit nowadays.
This speaker is dope. I've had one for 5 months. Hasn't failed and it bumps.
I bought two of these as you can link them up and turn them into a stereo pair via Bluetooth. In a fairly large room, one in each corner (which will increase the bass more as they're rear ported) they're INCREDIBLY good. I A/B tested them with a pair of Devialet Phantoms and there wasn't much difference. They won't beat a huge sound system but for their size, you will be amazed how good they sound, especially if you use the custom EQ setting and up the bass.
Got mine a week ago and it bangs .. gotta order another 1 so i can really piss off the neighborhood lol!!
Same. Getting #2 with tax returns lol
5:20 Lew's reaction
This has been out for quite a while. Glad it's got some love from Unbox Therepay.
so happy to see aiwa again... i still have a walkman in a1 condition. a highly reliable brand.
I have no hear about Aiwa for a long time
Garage Rec @ that's because it was bought out by Sony in 2003 to until it was discontinued around 2006 or so......but I'm pretty sure Sony is not managing AIWA anymore.
chicago based company owns aiwa now
can i have a link to your speaker playlist?
I have 2 and they are AWESOME.
I also bought the Arc BT headphones and they ROCK too. đđđđ
I just LOVE .your Channel. THANKS for another GREAT VID. But dose it come in other colors?
âYesteryearâ bruh must be in 2020 game already
AIAW is still around? thought they got bought out back in the early 2000's
bassblaster505 Apparently, and they sell high quality speakers
bassblaster505 They came back last year.
no, only AIWA
Zephyr0ner Oh I though they sold othe rmodels...
since may I've been waiting for these to come to Australia. đđđ
And still waiting? lol
Just got my KaBooom Box 2021 loving it. Bout to get a second for linking . Phaken awesom job Aiwa đ đ đ
I got mocked when I took a photo of my desk rocking 2 AIWA bookshelf speakers for being too 90's or something. I still consider them superior to most multimedia PC 2.1 speaker cancer.
What is the last song in the video? It was fire
I NEED IT
Clayton sommerer m.soundcloud.com/yrocc/everyday
yes thank you man
Reminds me of my TDK 2 Speaker boom box from 2011! Iâm gonna get this one for sure.
childhood memories, my dad bought me a mini hi-fi 2.0 single disk tray and dual cassette tapes back in '96 hahaha playing this song "this is how we do it! - Montell Jordan" love the last track BTW ^_^
someone tell me the song at 2:53 please
Would be so much easier if he just linked the music to the desc. If you're gonna use someones music to enhance your videos, it should be a standard practice to link their work to the description.
I have two of these... They're fantastic!
First time watcher, loved the review! I'll be back for more...
Imagine how loud it would be if you could add an amp to it đđ
HARKI SINGH this nigga
+unnamed it this nigga what
+David so
+HARKI SINGH has*
Hahahahaha, dude, the speakers are not being driven by magic. It allready has an amp inside, every powered speaker has.
How the flying fuck is that beast portable?
Padded handle..
its light
Yeah, I have no doubt that it sounds great and can power through an outdoor party, but I need a much smaller footprint. I don't want to be carting around a microwave oven sized speaker everywhere I go, especially in the house from room to room.
I thought Aiwa was dead. Wow. They were my favorite walkman manufacturer and I had their mini HiFi
I might actually get this, it sounds and looks great
You really need to start linking your damn tracks man.
Damn it LEW! Tell us the SONG AT THE END!
link pls
LOL, I could have used my iphone, forgot Siri did that shit XD Thanks guys! Was hoping to get Lew to answer Lol.
I cant find a video of it on youtube anywhere, really wanna add it to one of my playlists for testing on my subs.
kifla420 Do you know the song at 3:41?
***** Don't you think I did that already??? You Shazam it and tell me what you get then.
Dude I love your reactions đđ€Ł love to see other ppl get as hyped as me with badass sound acoustics.
I never heard about aiwa anymore since the old type walkman cassette player was gone, good job & good comeback AIWA.
2019 still the champ in terms of price/performance. Loud balanced sound with no clipping=big win.
Yes I'm still using mine every single day and it rocks. I use it as my TV sound system and take it out in the backyard and play tunes from my phone. Sometimes take it with me. It's an all around great performer. Everyone that hears it is impressed. Aiwa nailed this one out of the park.
@@Wigglythegreat2 is it better that the big jam box?
@@raawwr6262 I really think there is no comparison between them. The Jambox is more portable, but the Aiwa should destroy the jambox in output and at loud volumes it maintains clarity and balance. I watch all kinds of reviews on Bluetooth speakers and I still don't see anything that can compete with the Exos 9 especially when you factor in the cost.
@@Wigglythegreat2 ahh Hell yea thanks! That's what I'm talkin about :) I've been looking around for something worth getting. I'll try this out
wtf aiwa still exists? i have plane old speakers from them and never heard of them again
Raven16691 they are back...
I just looked it up, well they are not really back.
I mean they were a japanese company, now some chicago company has the right to call themselves aiwa...
Just like Grundig, they were a german company and now the rights for the name are in turkey....
I've became a fan to this show, great stuff an I dig the music you play boii
I need that ending beat. OMFG that shit was REAL AF.
Is it as good as the Bose SoundTouch 30 ?? cause in india aiwa exos 30 and bose cost the same 800 $
manish bhambhwani Do not buy it for 800
what's the song at the end
I've owned it for 1+ years now and I will never get tired of my Exos-9. I f'n love this thing.
Lo mejor ...en sonido .....ningun speaker es igual en sonido ....simplemente ...espectacular
