It's even funnier when you realize that there are like $20 earbuds (KZ ZSN) that outperform the $40 + Dirty Bud Cost of the Zaana thingy. For the record, that earbud selection is straight from dankpod himself too, he uses that in a fair amount of videos (just so you know i'm not trying to get money out of you lmao)

I used to use these 15 dollar JLab earbuds, but these have really opened my eyes to new possibilities lol. I only got the ZSN Pros tho, not Pro Xs. Still super good!

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

Just picked up both the OneOdio Studio 30's and the Superlux HD681 because of your mention of them during the video (also the skullcandy crusher evos from another). I decided that these would be good entry headphones to learn about the different sounds they can produce, since I haven't listened to many headphones beside for gaming and airpods. Honestly super happy with the purchase and wasn't out of budget either. Sound quality is amazing. Thank you!

@@Hydraina of course! the OneOdio Studio 30. They’re my go to for doing just about anything on my pc besides gaming. The open back on the Superlux was interesting but it’s one where I put on every once in a while to hear the music a different way. For all around use though (listening to music, watching videos, etc.) I much prefer the Studio 30
@@avonsix They are painfully good for someone who has multiple headphones that costed over $300... By that I mean, they shouldn't be that cheap for how good the sound is. However, they feel a little cheap. The sound is excellent though.

I accidentally ended up with a random pair of OneOdio headphones (the A71) and I was actually surprised how competent they were across the board. Am I going to be daily driving them over my HD 800 S anytime soon? Of course not lmfao. But they're competently built, packaged, featured, etc. and some actual thought was put into it.

I have those One Odio headphones and, while not audiophile, they sound pretty damn good. WAY better than they should for the money. We use them to listen to our final mixes on a more "everyday" type of headphone, and I use them regularly for casual listening, and even during tracking drums since they can play clearly quite loud and are decent at blocking outside noise. Often in sale at Amazon for around 50 bucks Canadian dollars. Definitely worth picking up.
Why on earth ANYONE would spend the same on these preposterous earbud holders is beyond me.... But goddamn, I'm glad Dankpods made this video!!😆

I discovered the Sony MDR-ZX110s through a character’s costume I was recreating that included these. I was reluctant to buy Sonys because I thought they’d be hella expensive but they were ONLY $25!!! They’re on-ears and the plastic is a little cheap-feeling, but the sound is amazing (they’re definitely better than my Razer Krakens and come close to my Bose QCIIs) and despite them being on-ears, I can wear them all day long and they’re still super comfy! They sound a bit quiet and aren’t good when walking on a busy street (or maybe they ARE good because you can hear your surroundings), but $40 for those Zaanus is so not cheap compared to $25 Sonys! Granted, I paid more like $35 or something because I could only get them internationally, but that’s STILL CHEAPER! (Also, I’m from Australia, so this is in AUD too)

When I was like 10 my headphones broke so I had to use apple earbuds. The issue was that at the time my ears were way too small for them so they were really uncomfortable. I ended up taking a cheap broken pair of headphones, ripping the earcups off, putting my earbuds in, and essentially making makeshift zaanus.
I spent 12$ on some low quality Head phones and even they sound better

I had a pair of A71s from OneAudio as my weapon of choice for ages. I'm surprised you were so nice to the Studio 30s because the A71s were 80-ish bones (CAD) and sounded quite bad. Lows weren't there at all, however that aux jack thing was quite helpful. Recently switched to a pair of Soundcore Q20s for the same price and they're miles better than what I had. It's a crime I didn't know about them sooner.
This channel really puts me back in the mindset of a young teen marveling at the difference between my rattly 2 bucks earbuds from a cheapo store and my first proper set of headphones.

I recently bought a pair of Oneodio Studio Pro 10s and the dual port is phoenominal. Both ports work at the same time, so you can use Discord and listen to music on your pc or phone, and also hear your ps4 or switch or whatever. Amazing
One feels like you're in the room with the band, enjoying some champagne and chatting with glamorous people and the other one feels like you're cleaning the toilet during a gala while listening to the music from the ball room.

I have found how to get the same sound as the Embiggeners WITHOUT having to pay $40. Take some dirty birds, put each bud into its own dirty sock, insert it into the ears. This version you don't need to crank up the EQ and you have a use for dirty socks until laundry day.

Superlux headphones are usually overlooked (at least here in my country). I haven’t even seen them in stores here for a long time (bought mine off retail since this was almost a decade ago). Mine served me really well and it was one of the best and cheapest headphones I ever used.
I did something like this once when i was about 9. I bought a set of earbuds and like shop earmuffs from dollar tree for a whole 2 smackaroos. Made a little cut in them and jammed the buds on in. It was terrible.
This whole time i kept hearing "Ovaries....ovaries...." until i realized that he was saying "Over Ears". Damn my Eagle ears.

When I was a kid I had a pair of cheap plastic headphones made with a sort of rubber. They were bright red kids ones and they sounded like earbuds, so they're a direct improvement over these ones for almost 1/4 of the price or something. (I can't remember how much they were as I didn't buy them.)
Got some cheap JBL headphones for college. JBL are known as being pretty good for audiophiles. How much were they? Around £20.
Yeah, they're made of plastic, but they sound really good and they're well built too. I've had them for about a year now and they still hold up great, compared to some people's SteelSeries headphones which broke at the hinges (fortunately I have never experienced this hell, my 9X's just refuse to turn on/charge for some reason.)
Actually, I'd like to get those fixed to be honest, they've been sitting unused for a while now. I think it's something to do with pencil lead as I hadn't had a proper reset pin and used a pencil instead. If anyone knows a solution I'd greatly appreciate it!

This is the first video I ever saw from dank after it popped up in recommended like a year ago and I’m very grateful for it
I've got the OneOdio studio pro 50s, they honestly sound amazing and quite wide for a pair of closed backs, but not as wide as the Samson SR850s, I'd prefer those, but it buds me that the rubber stress reliefs are a bit weak and the got weak over like 3-5 months of daily use, so yeah just a thing to look out for if you are getting the superluxs too. it's actually why I got the OneOdios it's because my Samson's rubber stress reliefs are giving up and starting to make static sounds when the cable is disturbed.
I love being able to anticipate the points in the song when the "freakish ears on a stand" are going to switch back and forth.

Im using low end sennheisers now which sound pretty great but man those oneOdio ones weren't bad for the price.

like i prefer my headphones with barely any mids because it feels like you in the actual environment it was made in, but to compensate i them up the bass like 30% and jack up the volume.

Edit Actually now that i think about it it's the pedal is mostly treble based, which can sound like shit sometimes, along with the ability to scoop mids on it's EQ. Since I break a lot of headphones on accident I always look for cheap ones, but not the ones that look too cheap, so I actually got the oneOdios way before I even watched this video and they haven't broken yet, which is kinda surprising, but makes me keen on buying them again if they do, since they're the best so far

I am so glad Apple stopped including shit tier chargers and headphones with their phones. It isn’t 2007 anymore, most people have an adequate pair of headphones already and this saves me having to throw the damn things in the garbage. They were right! Less waste!
