the reason why it wouldn't load to sites is because the browser you were using wasn't using https so the websites blocked the connection I assume

I am brand new to "good quality" earbuds (mostly do to watching your videos) an I had to go and re-listen to all of my favorite songs and it was like re-discovering them all for the first (ish) time. I had no idea that on Earth Wind & Fire's September there was a bongo man just going at it the whole song!!! And I only started with the KZ ZS10 pro x ($55 Freedom Eagles). I cant wait to be able to save up a little more and start trying out more styles

I have never been able to precicely put into words why I don't like the HD600s, but I finally figured it out, the cymbals sound like they're being run through a low-pass filter, in my opinion. Dunno if anyone else have had that experience as well.

2:26 I have a set of Realistic MC-2000 speakers, also from 1986, and they sound AMAZING. I've got friends who stare at me dumbfounded when I say my speakers are older than their parents. Although, they're huge, heavy rectangles, so the comparison is not even remotely fair

Remember the first time I saw the Internet was on a University PC in 1994 (I was only 7 but went to weekend sessions about Roman history) and I saw the NASA site.. I had no idea what I was looking at. I believe we got a Uni email address as well to use there. But much like Dank, our school had iMacs around 97-98 - they looked like the future! This was when the Internet was amazing and technology was making leaps and bounds all the time. Now it’s just everyday and there is no innovation or excitement unfortunately.

2 grand on a table for a starter is such a waste lol. My Technics was second hand for 60 bucks and i have a preamp hooked to my home theater. You dont need any more than $150 to get near studio quality. Dont fall for the "newest is best" trend.

Kid Pix you can find online as they converted to a website, glad to see the hardware still works but it was painful watching non-tech people try to 'fix' the whole browser thing. Interesting video and fun to see a time capsule like this but... oh how I wish you had someone that had solid ideas of how to work around the issues for this sort of video. The guy there that helps sometimes is fine but you can tell that he doesn't deal with this stuff often or more 'advanced' problems.

But luckily, they have also zero interest in the audiophile area, so a pair of dirt cheap chinese creaking smelly pen plastic buzzers are more than enough for their absolute god forbidding crap of music they extensively listen. It called "manele" (it a horrifying mix between turkish, pop, gipsy and....I don't know....hard to define...but you should try it sometime). So, those headphones are made exclusively for export). They are made there, for the same reason that everything is made in china - cheap labor. But I have to be fair, those cans are majestic. Anyway, I'm not proud to be romanian. Not by a long shot.

Fun fact, hdmi and dvi are the same thing, the converter cables have no converter circuitry in them (nor does your card need to support "hdmi over dvi" or vice versa which is how vga/dp/hdmi/usbc/dvi work. 6:40 Also, common misconception, vga actually went a lot higher in both resolution and refresh rate than dvi/hdmi, at least for rev1. The issue was that it was analogue, so cable length and quality affected performance.

The weirdo file name is perfectly understandable on a low budget device like that; it likely can only read metadata in a UTF format, and MacOS stores metadata and files names in a weird hybrid format. Works fine with like 99% of UTF devices and software, and flawlessly with every computer or phone in the world- but occasionally you find one weird nugget with a horrible character map, and it just does not display correctly
