Im glad to see Aiwa back in the game! I use to rock out my garage with my Aiwa sound system (with much dismay from my neighbors). I love bass and would love to hear how Dj Magic Mike - Feel the Bass would sound on these. Thanks for the review.

i know im late to the party but i watched over 20 diff you tube vids to figure out which bluetooth device fit my needs. Based on flossy's video depicting the top 5, i had the big blue keyed up and was ready to purchase off amazon. As i was doing that the aiwa popped up on the "customers are also purchasing" at the bottom of the page. To sum it up, rest is history. Aiwa is THE TRUTH! Real talk. Great job Joe & Flossy.

Joint beatin'!!! Always liked AIWA back in the day, hence there walkmans and disc players which always had the best sound.
Fam, instant like 90 seconds in. Strong shout out to the 30 and better crowd of you had an Aiwa. I rocked heavy with the 3CD joint/tape deck with the separate amp. They sat side-by-side. It was different than the all in one amp/tape/CD joint. Memory lane for real. Looking forward to hearing this live with my own 2 ears...
Definitely a blast from the pass aiwa had some of the most innovative walkmen. this looks like a speaker to have the big blue is hard to find Brookstone can't keep them in stock

yo, fantastic review. I always loved aiwa audio products. You always get a lot for your money with their systems. I still own two bookshelf systems from the 90's that work great. I would have never known that Aiwa is making a comeback if I didn't stumble upon your video. Very descriptive review. I bet that speaker really sounds great in person. The video can't do it justice. Good job.....

Hey floss. I've been looking and researching for a party Bluetooth speaker and this exos-9 is at the top of my list with all of the good words so many people have of it. I came across a similar looking speaker called the DiamondBoxx model L and looks like it could give the exos-9 a run for its money. If you could some time in the future compare the 2 and let me and everyone else know which speaker goes harder that'd be great! Happy New Years!

i always dreamed of Aiwa commin' back with a big boombox with big bass and my dreams finally came true! now i'm 25 currently and i'll be 26 in about tha next month and i know about Aiwa! i even used 2 have a Aiwa CD walkman dat also had a FM/AM tuner and i was so sad it was worn out and never wanted 2 play again! but yeah i have many great childhood memories with Aiwa in tha 90's and early 2000's! now if we can also get Technics back into tha game of sound, it would be soo lovely as well! great vid! :D

Thanks for the review! Does the bluetooth audio lag when streaming movies from an iPad, Macbook, or PC? Does the wide sound field make movies more immersive? I'm seriously consider the Aiwa, but if movie dialogue can't keep up with the video, then it seriously makes it less versatile for my uses.
Big Blue by far over all sound with good bass response. Bass heads will lean toward the Aiwa for that muffled sound. Aesthetically big blue looks good. Aiwa looks like luggage. Excellent channel 👍

thanks for the video, i just ordered one of these. Also have a jbl extreme, that is a super bass heavy speaker too, looks good, charges phones, costs the same as this. But i do want a giant speaker like this. IDK why others have not thought of this first.
I plan to order one of these....someday. I would take this over the Extreme for sure, despite the portability perk of the xtreme.

It depends on how big you want to go the aiwa is to big to take to the park in my opinion but the big blue can go in a backpack or back of the car and we can still get it bumpin at the park
Nah fam, you can't put a big blue in a backpack.. Its actually the same weight as the aiwa, just more slim. Either one you gonna have to carry or put in the back seat.
Flossy Carter lol maybe not a backpack but I put mine in a briefcase style bag and it does the trick. I think the big blue is still much easier to take to the park than the Aiwa so big blue still is #1 for me my mom used to love Aiwa products so I will probably get that new speaker for her in the future (:

I see that the AIWA EXOX-9 is better by watching some videos but looking at the size its really the size of a boom box or COMPONENT SET . Between this box and the Big Blue Party what one is the one you would more than likely use outside or throw in the trunk.
I'm 16 and know aiwa and my grandparents had an aiwa CD bookshelf stereo but the CD never worked bc the sys was used so they bought a 2001 philips 180w system that rocks the f out of our house even with one speaker plugged in And sounds awesome

Hey what's up Floss are you going to be getting the new Samsung SUHD 4k tv? That came out this year 2015? A, really interested in getting one but their like 1500 for a 48" but they look absolutely phenomenal. You know I watched a lot of reviews. ..but you're the only one who actually say in my opinion what separate samsung from the rest is there Display. ..which is the best ...and they always keep that tech to themselves that quad HD super Amoled display and now that nano crystal technology in the Suhd tv. Great reviews by the way cause I always like that real world on bias opinion. I hate some times watching CNET, techno Buffalo, phone dog, cause they get the stuff to review for free and alot of times they not even giving an opinion is almost like there selling the phone. Hey Floss, thanks to you, I got the Big Blue last month and love it! The Freq specs for the Big Blue and Aiwa are the same. The Blue is more portable,compact and has more of a 360 sound. Looks like the Aiwa speakers are just up front.
When you hear it in person, you'll hear the true difference. the bass sounds much deeper and harder

Yo Floss I still think you should check out that Klipsc Kmc-3 Bluetooth speaker, it's seriously a monster. I really believe it can compete with your product if not beat it when it comes to bass and clarity.
So far I'm still using my Logitech Boombox S-00116 and still serve me well considering I don't own a big room.

Floss, I just ordered the JBL Xtreme from Amazon. You should do a comparison between the Exos-9 and the Xtreme. My guess is that the Aiwa will come out on top because it's size is it's advantage yet the Xtreme's portability to sound ratio, is it's advantage. Both are great speakers.
They don't sell it on Amazon USA yet. I'm definitely getting it tho.
Hopefully they fix the popping sound in the bass or else it's kinda pointless to have an equalizer when it's gonna make the sound go to shit. Already ordered if it pops may have to return it.

I want that Model M, but I dont think I can spend 200 more now, but hte model M has a 2 year warranty and the Aiwa a 1 year, I so wish I could hear them side by side in person, sucks, peace.
