Your channel is amazing!!!! Thank you for sharing
Thank you for the compliment and thanks for watching. I appreciate it
I'm ordering an Aiwa tomorrow, thanks for the review.
You're welcome, thanks for watching
The Aiwa is amazing. Great at full volume with no distortion. Buy it !!!
@@HaydnR how loud in decibels you reckon
@@JGilly-cp1tk I think it's around 108 - 112
I got two aiwa exos 9’s and I wouldn’t trade them for anything else! Once in a while though I do notice that the volume does go up and down very slightly by them selfs.... I just tap the volume button a little and it’s fine after that. But the aiwa sound quality is amazing, and the bass sounds like your in the car with two twelves in the trunk! Specially if put them about a foot away from a wall 👌🏽
yeah they are great, good price too.
Have had Aiwa exos 9 for a little over 4 years now and I can tell you that it's the best speaker/sound for the money right next to my B&O speaker
Yeah it's a great value and sounds amazing.
which B&O do you have?
Great channel. Appreciate it. What's your current favourite all time speaker you own ?
for portables the jbl PB310, for insane loudness and bass the Muteki.
Put the Extended battery in the Aiwa, it'll play at full volume for 10+ hours straight. I've had my exos 9 for like 4 years now. Its insane, and incredibly durable.
good info thank you
I have two Aiwas exos 9. So far they are incredible.
Nice speakers
Purchased Aiwa Exos 3.Great speaker but having trouble pairing.I have to re pair every session and sometimes no sound until 2nd or 3rd try.Sounds good!
I would do a factory reset and maybe a firmware update. If that doesn't work return it for another one. It is a nice speaker for sure. Thanks for the question.
When it comes to the bass on the aiwa if you put it in a corner it really pushes it out bc of that rear port..and I'm not sure if you got it, but when I ordered mine I got it with the red and black carrying bag and also got a remote which in some cases like using Bluetooth from firesticks on friend's tv's has been useful too. But trust me if you put that thing in a corner and sit in the right spot the bass gets pretty deep
Bass is always better in the corner with any speaker. It's a great speaker, your shout out is in the next video.
Unbiased analysis 👍👍
Always, if you can't get the truth from me, what good am I? Thanks for watching. Sorry it took so long your comment was in spam.
Aiwa for the win for sure! Clarity on it is unmatched by the Hyper-boom. In this video, the Hyper-Boom sounded like it was in a tunnel!
Actually I like the hyperboom sound a little better, fills the room more, definitely goes lower too.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Have you tried putting the Aiwa in the corner? Placing this guy in the corner with the port about about 15inches away from the wall makes for the best room filling sound (especially regarding bass). A lot of the sounds you played would have benefited greatly from that placement. Impressive 360 degree sound coming from the hyperboom though! The Aiwa only having speakers on the front can definitely hinder your listening experience if is not positioned properly for you, but wow is it a great speaker! Great review!
@@auston.e8493 I played it everywhere, all different rooms and all different positions. Both great Speakers.
The Aiwa takes up 3 times the floor surface.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos im guessing it depends on the eq and wether you disable that compressor some guys mention but aiwa used and driven with proper audio files will be best not compressed etc
Happy to find this vid better sound bt speaker for less $$$ top notch!
glad you like it, I have more on the channel. I did a 100 dollar speaker battle and a 200 dollar speaker battle. Usually at christmas I get the cheaper speakers.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos i was thrilled and then went online and AIWA is sold out and they dont know when there will be making them again! Crushed
@@AnywhereButHereArtist Yeah I heard that and it almost sounds like they went out of business. For the price I'd get the Partybox 110, It is awesome and it's 350 bucks. Totally worth it, louder, more bass, lighting, rain proof and karaoke. It's my To-Go speaker of the year.
The Aiwa does sound way better. I got an Aiwa last year and it rocks!
They are excellent units, thanks for watching
Are you duped?
The hyperboom sounds much better and clearer.
@@bradhuskers I’m still rocking my Aiwa and no matter how much I crank it, it still sound great and not distorted.
@@stgalaska
That's cool. But there's no way it's as loud and crystal clear as the UE hyperboom
this aiwa speaker is a real banger !
It sure is, thanks for watching!
Love my hyperboom. I know it's Bluetooth but man having it hooked up with optical audio sound soooo much better than Bluetooth! I've picked up two of these for 200$ each on ebay used. Not too bad.
It is a beautiful sounding speaker
Love your reviews, man! Please help me sort out couple of these confusions. So, I'm pretty much into debate, amongst these speakers, Boombox 2 and Hyperboom. Definitely I'm looking for a clear, crispy and most natural sound but then the bass at lower frequencies shouldn't be compensated. Which one do you think can deliver better my needs? let's not bring their prices to the decision! Secondly, it seems here in India, the Hyperboom has gone out of stock, and can't expect it to arrive back, in anytime within 3 months. So, if I go with Boombox 2(owing to its availability better ) , does that seems compensating with the sound quality in any manner? Or should I be biased enough to hold on, until the thing arrives back? Third, does the Boombox 2 really does drop the vocals and that sound signature, around higher volumes, say 80 percent? And lastly, if I were to listen, around 50 percent volume, which one would you suggest to vibe out? Do, you think if I won't make it to Hyperboom, there'd be lot regret about?
At 50% volume they're pretty close. At the end of the day I like the hyperboom better, I think it has better overall sound. It's not as loud as the boombox, but the boombox just sounds screechy at higher volumes. Over 75% volume it suffers the dreaded bass roll off. The hyperboom sounds amazing no matter how loud you have it, plus it's a little cheaper. They are both nice speakers though. If I could only buy one I would get the Hyperboom.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Thanks man, that surely did help!
@@rishabhpandey3609 Anytime
I have two boomboxes and what I love about them is they are so easy to take with you wherever you go, they are totally waterproof, and their sound is easily as good as the Exos 9. I also have two Exos 9's which I love, but they are a hassle to take with you on outdoor trips. Couldn't see any reason to go with the Boombox 2 when I purchased my second Boombox, because from what I could tell, the two doesn't sound any better than the original, plus you can get a better deal on the older model.
I have both and I gotta give the hyperboom the edge but given the aiwa was released about 5-6 years ago it's amazing it's still competing against these newer units. That just shows the quality of the aiwa.
I love the hyper boom got it a couple days ago. But I’d like to know about the aiwa was a huge fan of the headphones back in the 90’s. But would like to know how many connects does it have, is it like the hyper boom where you can have 2 phones connected at the same time and can you connect it to your tv? That’s what I’d like to know.
I own both of these speakers and they both are great, however the Awia is still the king of Bluetooth speakers for the price and bang for the buck. When I compared both of these speakers at the time I turned the UE hyperboom all the way up and I barely got halfway volume on the Awia. I forgot how crazy this speaker was for music til I did the comparison. I use my Awia as my Room's TV stereo system and haven't moved it sense. Til last week comparison and it reminded me real quick who's king!!!
It is nice, but I think the hyperboom has better sound, plus its highly portable and splash proof. The hyperboom never distorts either and the Aiwa will at full volume. Still you're right, it's a great buy.
The hyperboom destroys the aiwa
@@bradhuskers not at all. i own both. A little better bass from the hyperboom, better highs from the aiwa. If both are sitting there i'm firing up the aiwa.
@garycrispin7754
I just got thru explaining to you that the aiwa distorts and becomes muddy at the high volumes. Plus, the battery life is terrible.
In short, the hyperboom is the better speaker overall.
Got it boy?
@@bradhuskers my man the hyperboom sounds distorted even at low volumes lmao, shit's overpriced chinese garbage
Thanks from a friend from France
You're welcome thanks for watching.
Oh wow, the megaboom is smaller than i had imagined. Getting me a 2nd exos-9 with tax returns lol
nice, they're great speakers
Great review..
I design my own portable bluetooth speakers. From driver selection, wiring and enclosure fabrication.. i would not spend $1 towards one of these 300 dollar setups even though the appearance is very nice and they do sound nice. I have setups that ive made that cant be beat and there is nothing on the market that comes close. I keep them simple but can add extras. I mainly put pd type c and usb 3 fast charge jacks with a volt meter. 40 volt removable battery packs that are chared on a dock. Subwoofer, passive radiators, mid ranges, mid woofer, tweeters/full ranges. I do different combos. I wish i sold more of these or mass produced cause i would send you 1 and lemme tell ya 600 watt amplifier, 3/4" mdf, textured exterior finish, planer tweeters, subs, mids, mid woofers. It would blow your mind. Parts express has the blast box etc.. my setups go wee wee on em.
How heavy are they? I'd love to test one and I can send it back to ya. Be a cool video.
What size woofer?
Just what I was looking for. AIWA is the new champion.
Yeah it's a great speaker. Champion? Not sure but definitely great.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Thanks Rob. Found out it is discontinued. Nowhere to be found only on some shady websites. Do you know if this is true?
@@albertl924 I heard that a few weeks ago. The Hyperboom is excellent just not quite as loud but it has beautiful sound.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Thanks Rob. I will check it out. I am also considering a pair of JBL PartyBox 100 for stereo play. What do you think?
@@albertl924 They're great units too and the stereo play is nice. If you don't need something portable I would look at a home stereo/home theater. You'll get better sound and have many more options. Buying two party speakers is kind of a waste of money, you're buying two amps, two receivers, two karaoke machines etc. I always recommend a home theater if you don't need portability.
Hi sir I just purchased a refurbished Hyperboom from UE site and it sounds really good , clear and bass is superb but when I listen on a very low volume I can hear hissing/static noises when I put my ear closely next to the speaker. Is that normal? Does your Hyperboom also makes hissing noise when listening on a very low volume?
Thanks and your channel rocks!
Probably the bluetooth, normal for the most part. Some older songs have that white noise in the recording too. I can't remember if it has an AUX port, but if it does plug into it and the majority of the noise should disappear for newer songs. If it's still very noisy plugged in with newer recordings I'd return it.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Thanks for replying. Yes I also try plugging to AUX and still could hear hissing noises even with new recordings. I'll be returning it and Thanks again!
@@chandahouangvilay2938 You're welcome. That is strange, I guess see if you can find a new one. Everything is very hard to get right now.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Just when I thought about returning it but I guess I don't have to because I just find out that I can factory reset the Hyperboom by pressing the power button and play/pause button simultaneously for 5-6 seconds to let it shutdown and it wait about 5 seconds to power on again. It's like magic, after that the hissing/static noise went away! Now my Hyperboom sounds like brand new.
Thanks!
@@chandahouangvilay2938 Nice, glad it's working right for you. Thanks for watching. enjoy it.
Love my exos 9.bad boy.
great speaker, thanks for watching
For me it's a no-brainer. I have two Exos 9's which I paid about $500 for. That's only $50 more than one Hyperboom. Plus one sounds better, but my two really blow the hyperboom away.
UE literally raised the price on their product that’s 2+ years old. Usually companies come out with a new product to justify a raise in price, then discount their older models. Not the case here! Their anti-sale marketing has succeeded in making me NOT want to pick up a Hyperboom!
3 yrs. with my EXOS 9.. Seriously just do it..
it is a great speaker
@Atlas John Instead of hacking your girls account you should just break up. You're going to anyway if you don't trust her.
How’s the batter holding up
The fact that you can tronar it even when it’s old is something I wish was more modular and a normal biz design practice with tech
@@r3drift Everyone that has one loves it and I haven't heard any complaints about the battery.
Aiwa exos-9 or Marshall tufton?
May I please know what do you suggest?
The Marshalls have amazing sound, the Aiwa is nice too and it's probably louder than a marshall of equal price..
the Aiwa has more bass and clarity. wow
Kinda regretting my bose soundtouch purchases now lol that Awia kicks ass man and its portable bose has no battery 🤔
Yeah Bose is nice but this Aiwa rocks.
Can you explain how the battery works?
After the 9 hours or so that says it last do you have to order a new one or do you keep the same battery and recharge it?
yeah it's rechargeable. The nice thing about the EXO's is when the battery get's old and doesn't last as long you can always get a new one.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos okay thanks for the reply! Definitely going to be ordering one soon.
@@anthonyreyes1659 you're welcome, enjoy it
I would think the Exos-9 would fill up the room better due to its size. But yeah $100 more is a big difference. If not much difference in sound quality, easy choice then.
The shape of the hyperboom makes a big difference in it's ability to fill the room.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos get 2 Aiwa Exos-9’s. Problem solved. 🤘🏻
@@johnnelson3665 Yeah you could do that.
I'd say stick one aiwa in the corner on an angle would fill the room due to the angle the drivers are on for stereo separation
Even without using headphones, the Aiwa pulverizes the Hyperboom.
It definitely had more power but quality of sound went to the hyperboom for sure. The Aiwas bass got distorted at it's highest volume. still a nice system for the price.
For you what is the best boombox 2 or hyperboom. Which do you choose? I sold my Boombox to buy the hyperboom.
Hyper boom, it's not as loud but the sound is better and it's cheaper.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos in the serious the hyperboom is better than the boombox 2?

Overall the Aiwa sounds better. More clarity and respectable low end. I dont even know how the hyperboom is being compared to it.
No the hyperboom has better sound for sure and it doesn't distort at full volume like the Aiwa does. The Aiwa does have more bass and it is louder though.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos They just came out with a new speaker. It is called the BB-X50. Would love to see that review and how it compares. I've tried to keep up and it seems the CEO was working some sort of business partnership with Aiww Japan. It would be nice to hear if they have kept the quality standard. Thank you for the reply on the previous comment.
It sure why they do t call it a portable stereo or boom box since it does play in stereo.
It does play stereo, there is no separation on the left and right so it sounds mono.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Incorrect. Xos 9 plays in left and tight channels. It’s stereo, not mono. Not sure why you’re not getting that.
I thought Aiwa has closed shop, I used to have Aiwa radio cassette in the 90s
They're sold out right now but as far as I know they're still in business.
I have my boombox 2 and I am very happy with the bass pump out great sound. However the Awia exo 9 is no push over. To me its a great Bluetooth speaker. Nothing beats the exos 9
I wouldn't say nothing the jbl 110 is sweet
Exos, the BEST speaker for the price
It really is.
Oh and also when the aiwa is inside the carrying bag it has an ipx4 rating for splashes etc

Aiwa or sony v71?
Sony for sure, especially if it's on sale

The hyperboom has near perfect sound.
Whats the specs on your mic please mate cheers just so i get an idea of what it reproduces upto without distorting and stuff
Damn bro, sorry, I can't remember which Mic I was using. If I was using the good mic it wouldn't distort. I can tell you that the Aiwa will distort with heavy bass songs at full volume. The Hyperboom generally will not, but it's not as loud. If you want great room filling sound the hyperboom is perfect, if you want more volume and bass the Aiwa is the way to go.

Ue stuff is very average. A lot of ue employees used to make fake accounts to lie and say stuff about their products being as good as bose soundlink mini. I had a soundlink mini and when I bought the ue that supposedly sounded better, you wouldn't believe the ue sounded like absolute crap in comparison. Sound was not as clear, crisp and the bass was not even close to matching the bose. Buy both and you'll know I'm telling the truth.
There is no bose bluetooth speaker that can match aiwa exos-9. UE has nothing that can even come close to bose, much less aiwa. This comparison is like asking, "Which looks brighter, night or day time?"
I will have to disagree, the hyperboom sounds amazing.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos if that's what you think, that's fine. The aiwa sounds better.
Here your hyperboom also sounds distorted and not as clear. The company will never have my respect after how they lied to advertise their stuff. Even at best buy testing them out, jbl also beats ue.
Ue doesn't have the deepest bass or the clearest sound. Not even close to being one of the best. Way overrated just like wireless charging. Can't hold your phone when charging that way, but monkey see monkey do and many blindly agree saying the same thing. Or how many talk about bruce lee being too fast when the camera caught all his movements which wasn't impressive.
@@one4all885 You're entitled to your opinion. I have both speakers here, in the same room listening under the same conditions, all I can do is give my opinion. Maybe the Hyperbooms directional speakers make it sound like that with a single stereo Mic, but it sounds amazing here.
You must have had the eq turned down on the hyperboom cuz my highs and mids are crisp and the bass rattles the walls, I’d say aiwa paid you for this review or something cuz it’s very inaccurate
