You don't have to climb over the second row seat to get into the third row in the Q7. That would've been ridiculous (as it looks). You can tilt the second row seats forward by pulling up on the backside handle.
That's actually the better entry option in my opinion as you can operate it much quicker than having to wait for the electric motor in the discovery to do its thing.

Well A better comparison would've been an Audi with the sunroof which many of them have and you have to know enough to know that you can tilt the Audi middle seat Forward easily using the handle that says "push" on it basically gives you the direction to access the third row and somehow you managed to just completely overlook it and climb right on top of it! So it's a little hard to say it was a fair comparison
Im surprised thatbeing a motor journalist you didn't know that Q7 second row seats fold up with a air pump with a push handle instead of climbing over the 2nd row seat

The Disco isn't the latest. The interior is from the previous generation. The Q7 is the latest update. I'd argue the latest Disco has a better interior than the Q7
Yes you are right. It would be unfair to compare on latest tech. Was more on how they drive and space etc. i agree the latest Land Rover interior could pip the Audi on quality. Thanks for chatting 🤗
I’m usually a VAG fanboy , but I’d have to go for the range based on the interior. Loved the light airy feel and the glass roof. Retrofit me a digital dash and I’m sold ….. well if i could afford it I would be. 😜

Audi Q7 4M second row seats fold and roll to help you get in to the third row. It is so much easier when you move the seats correctly.
I hate the black trim on modern cars, I prefer the chrome/silver trim which is still an option on the Audi.
The previous Discovery looked amazing, best Land Rover yet. The new shape looks horrible.
The Audi Q7 seems to get better and better.
The 4L looks great, the pre-facelift 4M it’s not amazing but the facelift looks great!

I find the Discovery more interesting. Maybe I just have enough of the Design (actually owning a new model A8 S-Line) and maybe I start to become a LR fan...but yea...I'd take the Discovery. More "soul". But this is not the newest model, right? It's not the newest pivi.
Thanks for the comment noir, yeah it doesn’t have updated pivi pro 2 like the new models. The Audi wins there as it’s more updated. But the overall space and 7 seater accessibility we liked the disco as the pick, even though I’m a massive Audi fan lol. Thanks for chatting 🤗
@@CarChatTV Audi becomes borin pretty quick sadly. All the "cheap" black piano lacquer in the front. My A8 was about 145k and is loaded with that finger printed piano lacquer. But the comfort is unbeaten.
Will order a P400 Defender next week and sing the Audi farewell.

The pre facelift Q7 was the best SUV on the market, can not believe how much they fcked up with the new one, one of the worst facelift ffs
Interior or exterior ?
The interior gets a thumbs down on the face-lift, my personal opinion is that the touch screen doesn't really float my boat.
I like the feel of a knob in my hand ( please don't crack any jokes 😂)
As a result I will be looking for a 2019 vorsprung 3.0ltr TDI put a stage one revo remap on it which does make all the difference but will also see what the disco offers as they really look the part but feel I wouldn't use all of its off road capability which would be such a waste
Exactly what I was telling my friends that the previous q7 2017 to 2019 to be precise, was way better
