Thanks for the video...My 2019 Lariat didn't come with this but it has one now. One thing that made it a little faster and easier is when I unhooked the tailgate I simply moved it away from the corner hinge while leaving it in place with a helper holding it and quickly replaced the hinge and put it back into place. I finished everything from there. Made it easier to not have to unplug and completely remove the tailgate...It's a great addition..

moostang09 Ford has a set of tie downs that attach to those four “plates” on the sides of the bed. Much larger than than the ones in there now. They’re not metal, so they might not be quite as strong. But much more useful. I believe they were around $80.

Great video, thanks for posting it. I have a quick question please about the performance. My issue is that when driving across anything that isn't perfectly smooth while I have my tailgate down, the tailgate jumps and bounces and yanks on the cables. It's extremely sensitive to any kind of bump. Have you noticed if this dampener keeps the lowered tailgate from jumping up and slamming back down under these conditions? Thanks.

  • @ranchcountryouthouses7834

Thanks. Great video. I had to replace my box after i jackknifed my trailer. 2020 F350 platinum. Local shop had the box but i messed up the hydraulic damper on my existing box. Buddy of mine got the Dee Zee deal. The tailgate free fell 6-10 inches before the shock engaged. I was quickly convinced to go Fomoco. Instructions suck on it though. The worst being not mentioning that you are making the threads on the low bolt. Friendly tip, thread that bolt in from the backside first. It’s easier to work with since it’s more open.
