So Sad (To Watch Good Love Go Bad) by The Everly Brothers - from their 1983 reunion video - song written by Don Everly and was originally a hit for them in 1960
I read Don passed away this past August 2021 at age 84 at his home in Nashville. I am 78 years old and grew up listening to the Everly Brothers. My parents had a record player to listen to those that had passed on. We have CZcams and its like we can turn the clock back and watch those my generation grew up with. Rest In Peace Don and Phil
I just want to write a comment asking if they are still here or not, your comment is on top then I read it and feel so sad, RIP for both of them, thank you for telling us
Once again The Everly Brothers are re-united.As sad as I feel,it's a comfort to know that we still have a priceless legacy of heavenly harmonies to cherish...Rest in Peace Don and Phil.
We were so lucky to have had them in our lives I saw them in San Francisco in 1970 at the fillmore and it remains the most memorable show of my life and I saw so.e great ones thanks fellas Brian Moran ny
@@Espritisback Their guitar playing was outstanding as well. In his memoir, “Life,” Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones acknowledged Don Everly's unparalleled rhythm guitar playing, describing it as the best he had ever heard.
no singers could make it sound like one voice there timing is unbelievable when Don does his solo piece Phil just chimes in without missing a beat incredible thank you Everly Brothers for giving us such brilliant music and were still listening for me 60 years thank you
The Everly Brothers were pure vocal harmony magic. Irreplaceable. in their middle age they even sounded better, using more vibrato totally matching. the 10 year break paid off with mature voices sublime.
+sunryse111 Yes, a few later albums that had some great songs on them. I think their music from the 50's and 60's is timeless and hopefully will be enjoyed for generations to come. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Victor! Jim
Two years today since the passing of Don Everly. So sad the world is without the wonderful Everly brothers but thankfully we can still listen to them through the kindness of everyone who put they're music on to Ytube for us.😢
Never tire of listening to these great performers. Ive listened to the Everly Brothers since I was a boy growing up in the 60's. Im 63 now and still love to listen to their music.
I remember when this song came out. I was around 8. I fell in love with it. The Everly Brothers were just great. I was a big fan of Don. They both sang great. Nobody could come close to what they did. Singing, song writing, they were the Greatest. RIP Phil. And thank you both for the music.
There has never been anyone, nor will be, like the Everly Brothers. Their music is indeed timeless. For one of their very best watch "Why Worry" with Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkins and Michael McDonald. For a dose of reality watch Everly Brothers live 2004. Even in their 60's, 40+ years singing, they never.lost the harmony and Don still played a mean guitar. His last performance, without Phil, from 2014, is also live. As is Wings of a Nightingale and a concert in Melbourne where they have a lot of fun jazzing.up " Little Susie."
I know im talking to much cant help it when its the brothers faithful thanks again for making my teen years full of great songs 77 now and still listening
sad knowing the breakup they had. My brother is 86, I'm 75 and both of us spent the same year in Vietnam (1967) in combat and not one word, NOT ONE angry word between us in all those years.
I always felt great entertainment to the world was a gift from God to make us happy till our time here is done . The Everly brothers were surely on His short list to make that happen.
The most perfect harmony that has ever existed and ever will exist. I think the reunion concert is the best thing the´ve ever done, beat´s erveything ftom the 50´s, 60´s and 70´s.
Thank you for your soothing, beautiful, timeless music and happy memories. Everly Bros songs were among our national anthem in our small town in Hilum st of Pandacan PH. GOODBYE Phil&Don Everly❤
Ellen Radovich there is only a handful of groups that can harmonize like this duo. The Bee Gees is another. Simply, beautiful music that can be achieved by brothers. Great post. Love it always❤️❤️❤️
It breaks MY heart! The lifetime of memories, so sweet ~ old man here. Heard it ALL, lol. There are other good musicians, no doubt. Phil & Don never had, never will have a match. that's no superman joke, either.lol
Much of the best music of the past century came from talented youngsters from the heartland (what some derisively call "fly-over country") of this great place we call home...The U.S.A.. Love Phil & Don!
Don hat zwar nicht so grosse Augen und diesen Unschuldsblick wie Phil aber wenn er so in die Kamera schaut.....ui, ui, ui❤❤❤❤❤ ist auch sehr aufregend.
cak 813 - You are very fortunate you were able to see them perform. I missed them and I will always regret that. To this day they are still my favorite performers.
@@Hary1470 I was very fortunate indeed. I only wish I had seen them more often but I’m grateful for that one time I did see them. I was spellbound the entire concert.

Interesting to compare this versiopn with the original from 1960. 'Think both versions, although very different, are the summit of popular and country music.
don't know why but this song always makes me think of my late father who loved to sing in harmony to whatever song was on the radio geez I do miss him so keep singing dad ill be listening your ever loving son

That's just perfect. Without Phil and Don, no Hollies and certainly no John & Paul.
And no Beatles !

Totally agree! I love their 1980´s material the most.
Phil didn't even strain hitting that high note. Pretty damn impressive!
Thank God they reunited - if only briefly. You can keep the Everlys coming forever, Jim. They'll always get my thumbs up vote.

every song they sung after they got back together now has a much deeper meaning.
I thougth that was the real beauty of their reunion - deeper feelings that come with maturity and rekindled appreciation for one another.
