  • Here is how to make a very similar Raising Cane's sauce for all your fried chicken needs. Although their sauce recipe is a highly-regarded secret, this recipe comes close! Here are the ingredients:
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/4 cup ketchup
    1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Can you tell the difference between the two sauces at the end?

This recipe is missing 1 key igredient, LEMON JUICE! I tried this exact recipe from the video and cried, until someone said to add lemon juice, THEN it tasted like real cane's sauce.

I worked at canes since I was 16, you forgot the lemon juice and smoked paprika. only trusted GMs and district supervisors knew the recipe. but I was the one having to mix it up and put them into cups. I oversaw them using lemon and the paprika. we had big Hobart mixers and used 2 5 gallon buckets of mayo to 1 5 gallon ketchup.

I've made batches of this now and then to go with home-made chicken nuggets (and fries) but aside from the lemon juice mentioned by someone else, I found a dash of paprika also is a welcome addition. I wish I could give a more accurate measurement but as I tend to make a batch roughly four times this size, the dash is really more to taste than otherwise.

We add 1 teaspoon of lemon pepper +1/4 teaspoon black pepper rather than just black pepper. Some times we use lime pepper depending on what we are pairing the sauce with.
