@@kuronverz2793 ok cabbage lasts like a month in the fridge. I went on vacation for a month in January and there was my half a head of cabbage in February still usable. Left over chicken goes in the freezer.
I also didn't like the cost of oil being left out since it's integral to the dish. I agree that it's hard to buy everything for a meal like this but that's what cooking is. You buy larger amounts of ingredients so you have those ingredients on hand to make other things. As a cook I'd maybe make a stir fry with the left over cabbage and chicken. I might bake something using the flour. I don't know what I'd do with the oil besides do another batch of fries but I wouldn't do deep frying of anything. I just watch JW do it:))

If you are a single person or a pair, you can definitely use leftover veg and meat for other meals if you are an adventurous cook. No waste. If you don't want to use much oil, you can always change the method of cooking. Air fry or oven fry, which is similar and uses considerably less oil. There's always going to be a small cost with the usage of oil and prep/cook time. Not much though if you prep well.

Yess, a lot of chefs don't add spices to the buttermilk or the dredge, *this* is how you make proper fried chicken!
But I think it's important to factor in the cost of cooking oil as well, as you won't be able to re-use this oil much.
