- Raising Cane's has made a name for itself in the crowded fast-food chicken market by doing just a few things really well. They have chicken fingers, garlicky and buttered Texas toast, and a highly popular dipping sauce they simply call "Cane's Sauce."
What's the sauce made of? They're not telling. Only a few of the chain's employees know the sauce's highly guarded recipe, and they're sworn to secrecy. Some fans have tried to make copycat versions of the simultaneously tangy and smoky sauce with a hint of spice, but they're really just guessing. So what's behind this magical sauce? We have learned what we could to make so that Raising Cane's iconic Cane's sauce secret is finally revealed.

3/4 cup mayo
5 tablespoon ketchup
1.5 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 cloves grated garlic
1.5 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Jesus just give us the recipe, I don't need a history lesson
Literally like what is this bullshit
Honestly
😂😂😂
Mayo and old bay
It’s leaked
It’s basically Mayo, ketchup, pepper, garlic salt, maybe soy or Worcestershire. Maybe something else too but I’ve made the sauce and taste very similar.
definetly not soy sauce
soy sauce tastes MUUCH different than worcerstershire sauce
they just look similar
I love Cane’s but unfortunately I now live where there isn’t a Cane’s (yet). I have bought a cup full when I visit Louisiana. Really want them to start selling it by the jar, but if they did that they would have to list the ingredients on the bottles. Reasonably understandable.
The ingredients are already out on the internet. The sauce is just mayo, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic powder and Tony chachere's
Is this like the chick fil A sauce?
@@meurum2561 no it's way better
It’s so similar to Zax Sauce. But less twangy.
Twangy
Zax sauce is nowhere near as good
Sounds like a smart marketing campaign.
I’m from south Louisiana, we make this exact sauce for crawfish boils. We have been years before canes was a thing, keep in mind canes is a Louisiana product. The recipe is basically a mix of ketchup mayo Worcestershire sauce and your seasoning of choice I normally use Tony’s and sometimes a dab of hot sauce is a final touch and that’s basically the cane sauce recipe it’s very easy to make I don’t know what the big secret is it’s super simple.
It is if you’ve grown up making it or something very similar your whole life. We know exactly what it is but someone from Montana who wouldn’t know what a crawfish was if it bit ‘em on the nose would likely have never made anything like it. For them it wouldn’t be so easy to replicate it.
I always feel like there is ranch in it
It contains dairy. They had to disclose that because it was a food allergy issue
Well I can't have the sauce unless they let me know if worstishire in it or not. I'm allergic to fish
Why would you say the sauce secret has been revealed and not a damn thing in the video says how to make it. Tf just pissed me the hell off dhs
Never Been there but it looks good! 👍
Trust me, it’s good
It’s so good
Yes yes these guys know what they’re talking about. Not everyone loves the chicken all the time but the sauce makes it worth it, fries too
A look on their allergen information says it has eggs, fish (anchovies), and soy. So maybe it's ketchup, mayonnaise, garlic powder, black pepper, soy sauce, salt, sugar, and anchovy juice?
worchestershire sauce is made from anchovies
I definitely taste some sort of tartar sauce
@@bellarossi6249 nah I don’t believe tartar sauce but on the other hand I do believe they are adding additional vinegar to it to make it more liquified
@@bellarossi6249 right a little tangyyy in there
@@bellarossi6249 that is my guess too
she lied
It's chicken leave ins w/ pepper like some mom & pops chicken restaurants .....
I know the secret I knew a gm who had left raising cane's I got bottles of this
This whole restaurant est in 1996. Is a copy of Guthrie's chicken fingers est 1982 in Auburn Alabama the fingers the sauce the toast its all a COPY CAT TO THE ORIGINAL
Yeah you are right! I looking for Guthrie's dipping sauce on the internet and you are absolutely right!
So, the 5 ingredients that make it look, taste and smell just like raising cane's sauce isn't the recipe? If that's the case, then what IS the recipe?
I was just kidding with this comment
Can't taste what's all the fuss is about 🤷
So where is the secret finally revealed?
Don't they have to list ingredients incase of food allergies
Yes. The point, however, is you may know the general ingredients, but not the proportions.
You don’t have Tom list all ingredients. Only those that may cause allergies, such as nuts or dairy.
Island dressing 2.0
They paid the girl to say that😂🤣 next
Everyone's basically saying the same ingredients here but ive tried a few times and no recipe tastes nearly the same
Either of these?
A.
1/2 c mayo
1/4 c ketchup
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp salt
B.
1/2 c mayo
3 Tbsp ketchup
1/2 Tbsp Worschestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt
WAYYYYYYYY too much jabber jaw!
Another variation of thousand island? Also, top 25 comment!
It wasn't a huge secret Its just seasoned crawfish dip
Not a fan of Cane's sauce inventory. Too bad, I like their chicken but their sauces aren't that good. Out of the fast foods Whataburger probably does the best job on sauces.
whataburger ranch is the besttttt😭🙌
I wish they’d bring back the chophouse. That is by far the best burger. Those the chophouse sauce is fairly similar to the canes sauce, just without the ketchup.
😟I want that !!recipe!!
Extremely salty 1000 island...
You can ask for a 32 or 22 oz cup of canes sauce. Ik this because pumping the sauce into the cup is a pain in the ass so pls don’t
Comments section did what the video failed. Thank you commenters
Click bait. The recipe is NOT revealed.
Taste like it has chicken 99-X in it.
It you can’t copy canes sauce you shouldn’t be in the kitchen at all. That’s a basic combo.
Cane sauce is ok but I wish I could get ranch!
I'm not a fan of the sauce.
I always get hot sauce.
So at what point do you reveal the recipe? Oh wait… you don’t. You simply say they finally reveal it for click bait. Just gonna head on over and report this.
Same
I'm not a fan of their sauce.
I always get hot sauce.
Fries are always limp and soggy.😢
Thas wat she said
Come to the one in Hattiesburg , MS.... line is just as fast as chik fil a
I had Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers with Cane sauce for the first time yesterday - the sauce is alright. I was glad I had my bottle of Chipotle Aioli ready as backup. ☺️ The chicken fingers were pretty good! 👌🏼
That sauce is not that good,
Click bait video title says recepie revealed its a scam just to get views
They need to increase the size of their chicken tenders and look into improving their fries. Fix those two things and I'm sure that their business volume will increase.
The only time I had meaty and crispy chicken fingers was when I was sick and couldn’t enjoy food 😭
i love their fries
Literally is not a secret.
It looks like mayo and ketchup with pepper and to be honest my grandma has been giving me that sauce since i was a kid every time she made nuggets for me… so in my mind grandma was the first to make that sauce
Not the same, canes sauce is more liquified than what your talking about. I believe they have other spices aswell
Yea, it’s a pretty simple sauce. If you go at it with the intention of tasting the flavors, it’s easy to tell there ketchup, mayo, some extra vinegar, salt and pepper.
I made a similar sauce the other day, added in cayenne pepper and paprika, aside from the fact that I used miracle whip rather than mayo, it was identical in all the other flavor profiles.
It has more than just mayo and ketchup with pepper. Leave the pepper out of your grandma's sauce add sweet pickles and you have basic thousand Island. It has more complex flavors with Worcestershire sauce and maybe some sweet chilly sauce to boot. Defiantly Mao Base.
It reminds me of Comeback sauce, a southern dipping sauce from the 60s. I like that it reminds you of your Grandmother thats comforting.
Just, so so, KFC IS BETTER. But I like fish tacos so get out the salt. Haha.
Red BBQ Sauce and Ranch Dressing Mixed Is A Short Cut. You Add Other Seasonings If You Like.
KFC sauce is the best. The chicken tenders too.
Canes has better strips then chick fila
If you need sauce the food is trash.
True but an overrated statement
Canes is 🗑
Blah, blah, blah..... WAAAAY too much gibber jabber!!.... Can someone just tell me WHERE the "Secret Finally Revealed"
Their sauce is meh at best and their chicken is average. Both canes and chic filet A are over rated on how good their food is.
You probably eat at Churches. Blehhhh
