ABOUT BELOW DECK:
Captain Lee, Kate, and Ashton reunite as a team and embark on an exciting new season in Thailand on mega yacht “Valor.” After his brush with death last season and promotion to bosun, Ashton’s work hard, play harder persona is at an all-time high. While his leadership on deck holds strong, Ashton struggles below deck to keep his emotions in check after the crew gets an unexpected surprise that rocks Ashton to his core. Chef Kevin’s high standards and strict rules for the kitchen and service clash with Kate’s stew style, leading to fiery confrontations in the galley. Kate tries to foster a productive work environment for her team, but when Simone feels favoritism to Courtney, the stews go head-to-head. When Abbi is unable to adapt to the high demands of yachting, Brian and Tanner are forced to pick up the extra work. Brian, Ashton, Tanner, Simone, Courtney, and Kate all find themselves in and out of love on the boat, resulting in love triangles and heartbreak. With one demanding charter group after another, the crew is tasked with entertaining playboys and party girls this season; but after a shocking departure, the teams must band together to welcome back a crew member from seasons past.

Did you expect anything else after the way he behaved all season. Kevin is a walking, talking cliche. I'm glad he was on the show. Now the entire population of women out there have been warned and can protect themselves from him accordingly.
He even seems proud of it. Kevin's a total tool 🙄
@@lf3541 Yeah you would think that but not everyone has the same thought process. Tanner managed to get a girlfriend. Who would want to date someone that is so proud of himself, he has to kiss and tell. And Ashton manged to get a girlfriend and boyfriend. So yeah not everyone is that bright.

Over the years I have known some women who take on men like this crew. It's almost as if they see the men as a challenge. Or they have a need to "Mother" their partners. And then there are some women who want a relationship (ANY relationship) so badly that they put up with being treated like dirt willingly.
I don't get it, but I have seen it.
Too bad we can't make them wear a sign or have to report to a 'bad boyfriend' registry so we can all make informed decisions.

Gotta say this was the toughest season to watch. All the men were really misogynistic and mean. Simone was annoying, Courtney was a doormat, Rylee was stomped on and now kate is leaving. I hope she comes back!

@@JuliaB1955 I know, I saw the show, but she's mostly reactionary to men, and she played the victim throughout the entire reunion. All the men apologised and it wasn't enough for her. It wasn't until andy asked them at the end if they would change anything that she brought this up.
@@sheenabeena No, she brought up the problems I mentioned in the interviews as well. Men happen to dominate the deck crew every season. If women made up the deck crew and treated her in the same condescending way, I'm sure she'd react to them too. I think that's pretty clear. Well, at least to someone who's more than a superficial thinker and observer.

I'm so disappointed that she's leaving, but I think she reached her breaking point this season, and I can't blame her. My sister and I got to meet her, Lee, and Colin at an event last month, and they were all very lovely. Kate will continue to make her mark, I have no doubt!

Courtney is one of my favourite stews, she had class about her and she knew what she wants in a relationship, she also didn't just roll over for Brian when he got angry with her for not agreeing with him about everything. At first, I was iffy about her coming on, she seemed to just complain on her first trip onto the beach with guests but she worked so hard and she didn't take sides. She even admits she just took Brian back because she was drunk that final night. (Yeah, only just started watching Below Deck this year).
Its become the Aston show what a load of s”it i feel the reunion was to prevent law suits. I have never seen so many women in danger of reality tv violence from men all these men minus capt Lee should never have been hired the producers need to see therapists on why they are picking abusive behaved men! Shame on the casters!

Casting needs to be done on a deeper level not by untrained persons of mind health. Further good creative people can read people maybe the level of easy drama here is so basic it is harmful for those watching and society impacts of a time footprint. Think more time and quality of staff production needs to occur from casters to producing to more time to find good interesting talent and find the drama don’t be so basic to take it back to 1955 abusive towards women is unacceptable even for reality tv

All the griping and unhappiness made for a miserable season. Please, change that group of deck hands! ESPECIALLY Rhylee. I couldn't possibly take another season of all that, and won't. Then Lee was in full support of backhanded management. I just can't. And all the anger from him on WWHL. NEVER AGAIN! I can go places and watch misery somewhere else live and in person!
Totally agree! He couldn't hold Kate responsible for anything, and don't get me started on Rhylee. Hope I never see her poor attitude ever again. She made me feel embarrassed as a woman.
I agree - And like Rhylee said in an interview, Captain Lee is afraid of Kate. Her behavior gets a pass from Lee even when I feel he knows she’s being vindictive. The.fact that Kate couldn’t wait to tell Rhylee what Ashton said about her was just troublemaking & added fuel to the fire.

This is why I don't watch this show anymore.
I'm sick of people excusing Kate's behavior on this show. She is equally as much to blame for this past seasons fiasco. Her clinical passive aggressive deflection techniques just show what a manipulative person she is. Stop excusing this.
It's unfortunate that Kate and Lee shows the favourtism between them makes it an unfair working experience for the others.
