Captain Lee, Kate, and Ashton reunite as a team and embark on an exciting new season in Thailand on mega yacht “Valor.” After his brush with death last season and promotion to bosun, Ashton’s work hard, play harder persona is at an all-time high. While his leadership on deck holds strong, Ashton struggles below deck to keep his emotions in check after the crew gets an unexpected surprise that rocks Ashton to his core. Chef Kevin’s high standards and strict rules for the kitchen and service clash with Kate’s stew style, leading to fiery confrontations in the galley. Kate tries to foster a productive work environment for her team, but when Simone feels favoritism to Courtney, the stews go head-to-head. When Abbi is unable to adapt to the high demands of yachting, Brian and Tanner are forced to pick up the extra work. Brian, Ashton, Tanner, Simone, Courtney, and Kate all find themselves in and out of love on the boat, resulting in love triangles and heartbreak. Rhylee asked for direction from Brian on how and where they set up the slide.. They showed the clip he didn't explain he just said like we always do. She asked Ashton for direction on several occasions, but he obviously doesn't know how to teach.
If the only basic thing she can't do is that knot he should've gone over it with her until she had it down because it would make the department more efficient.
I understand that Kate doesn't have time to hold Simone's hand and show her everything concerning service.. Some of it is commonsense if you've ever been waited on at a restaurant. Just making sure guests don't have to ask for drinks or food. Yet in the episodes I've seen Simone hasn't initiated talking to guests about what they need.

True, maybe all the drinking has clouded his memory from last season Rhylee trying to grab hold and calling out man overboard quickly. As a Bosun he should have organized the fishing expedition prior research on the area and asked Rhylee what do you need on the boat. He wanted her to fail, no room for leadership when you don't provide adequate assistance. Poor behavior from a Bosun the entire season from start to finish. Smashing his hand in the van in violence and the obscene comments and later not remembering then try to justify it. Epic fail... Some people learn from their mistakes like Joao from Below Deck Med then others angrily attack and blame others. Kate knows her job and does it well , so horrible how Ashton tried to kiss her twice then has the audacity to say she should be grateful. Disgusting.. Constant poor behavior and he thinks Kate's a puppet master ,its ridiculous. Even Kevin can't stand handle the BS Ashton was attempting to defend in the interview.

I honestly think that Rhylee was better this season then she was last year. I don’t think she is innocent in the friction between her and the guys. They even showed a montage of clips to prove it. But I do think Ashton wasn’t feeling Rhylee from the jump so anything she did rubbed him wrong.
From the moment she stepped on the boat, Ashton immediately told the guys how awful her attitude was. He never tried to improve their dynamic. AsBosun he could have reduced tension by not turning every time the guys were together into “Let’s complain about how we hate Rhylee?” Story time . Both parties needed to improve their communication styles. I think the Captain caught on to how all 3 guys suggested going ahead a member down before Capt Lee even went there. Ashton has some obvious unhealthy views on women. I would have felt he was a threat to the women on board after he twice kissed Kate against her will and went psycho in the van. Kate could have burned him with Capt Lee instantly but she removed herself from the situation. Ashton had no idea he had gone so scary andthat is even scarier to me. Kate had no idea about the origins of the guys joking using Tanners Mom voice and thought they were bagging on Tanner’s Mom. She asked Ashton about his Mom not knowing what was happening. Ashton has serious aggression issues when Smashton is loose!

Hearing the way Ashton just spoke about her “man over” call is just disgusting. He should have nothing but gratitude for everyone that was on that boat.
Rhylee calls it "his own stupidity", but Rhylee made 3 mistakes when it happened 1) She should have never tried to grab him. 2) While trying to grab him he, she put her feet in the same situation as Ashton, but luckily jump out of em at last sec. 3) She should have called it as soon as she saw him going over. Captains Lee's account of her calling first doesn't line up with discussions of them talking about it in Season 6. It was a member of the Film Crew that first called it over radio. It was the film crew member and Capt. Lee that saved Ashton's life, not everyone on the boat.

He showed her more than once. You missed the episodes. She would not even try and blamed him saying her knots were good enough but the men on deck could not untie the chit she tied. That could cost someone their lives if they cannot untie. That is why everyone must do things consistently. Rylee just refused to learn the job time and again. She is one of those women who wants a fight a day, and to argue with SOMEONE all the time. My sister was like that.

Ashton needs to take some lessons from Joao on how to behave when you've been promoted to bosun. Joao was kinda unlikable his first season, with his drunk alter ego, but he really stepped up after his promotion and was great. I'm not impressed with Ashton as a bosun, or as a man. He and the other three boys on the boat need to have a circle jerk and move on.

I think Rhylee has tried VERY hard not to get upset this charter season. The industry they are in is very misogynistic and known for this stuff. And I think when she feels like she’s being treated differently because she’s a woman she stands up for herself because who else will when men dominate her job and it’s known for misogyny? What I found funny about these interviews every week is that it was before the season aired.
That means he had not yet seen the episodes or himself on tv yet and had no idea how the people will react to his disgusting behavior.
What I want to see and I hope they show us is after the show ends and they get all the cast together like last year I want to see how he responds to co workers and fans. I bet he well act remorseful and guilty. witch, we already know it would be only an act since we have already known by those interviews that he wasn't.

With the exception of Brian and the captain, I don't like any other men this season. I think Ashton should do a way better job but he is upset because he didn't get any action. Guaranteed Rhylee is not easy either. She flips out and lashed out a lot. What a mess! when the charter guest came to apologize, kevin acted like a jerk!

I understand both sides. Rylee is a hard worker and willing to learn yet she also has so much atttitude, defensiveness, and emotionally reactivity. Almost every problem involves conflicts without reasonable communication and problem solving. I also think Ashton has pride in how he leads yet I think he needs more learning how to handle conflict as a bosun. Plus, I think his drinking side is his reactive side.

The fact that people are so out raged over the way the "misogynist" guys acted with out acknowledging the way kate and riley acted was inexcusable as well riley and kate both have a quite colorful history of causing conflict with multiple individuals and the fact of the matter is that the guys weren't going to take it from them abby always got along with the guys because she didn't cause conflicts riley and kate love to hold every one else accountable but them selves kate knew what she was doing by provoking ashton with her comments about his mom riley has no right to blow up on her boss that's not how you deal with an issue with your superior get a grip

I have worked with people like Rhylee before. They are hard workers and are great at making themselves look like victims, but trust me working with them is emotionally and mentally draining. You always have to walk on eggshells around them, you have to be careful with your tone of voice and choice of words, and you need to implement every suggestion they make, otherwise they fell slighted.
She always had an attitude, from last season to this. People defend her by saying the guys are misogynist and dislike “strong, independent women”, but those people are like Rhylee: rude, obnoxious, and always insulted. Ashton was not a great leader, but had Rhylee been a guy, he would have either been knocked out or fired a long time ago, so yeah they treated Rhylee differently by keeping her on and being patient with her BS
I don’t understand why Ashton doesn’t take any responsibility why Rylee messed up. He is the leader and is managing his crew therefore whatever his crew does falls on him. He’s just a cop out.

Ashton has a lot to learn about managing people. However, Rhylee has a bad attitude and has an issue with authority. Last season she had an issue with Chandler and was fine with Ross because he was not her superior. As soon as Chandler left and Ross was promoted to bosun, she had an issue with him. Now she has an issue with Ashton as her superior. I do think that if she was a stew, Kate would experience what others have. I can hear Rhylee say, “oh, did I not fold the towels right?! Great.” Both are to blame and should take accountability for the situation.
I think Rhylee should think about others too when she gets mad or annoyed for example when they tell her something she just tries to make them mad bc the word or what they did annoyed her or made her mad so she start fighting and stuff like that
I agree Rhylee has a temper and jumps the gun quick. But, during this episode, when she wanted to have a talk with Asston she was very calm and communicating. Asston on the other hand, was gaslighting her like crazy, cutting her off and you can tell he went into that conversation not wanting to hear her out. She's the bad guy in his eyes and nothing she does, will change that. She's on the defensive all the time because every single time she speaks or does something, they all go WOOO bru calm down *gaslight gaslight* Also, if I hear "bru" one more time...

Ashton has no idea how to lead a crew. He set Rylee up for failure by sabotaging the crew against her before she even started. As a leader, he should have been figuring out how to adapt everyone's personalities. Why didn't ask her about the knots she uses and why? Maybe then if they weren't the best options, he could have achnowledged what Rylee knew and opened up dialogue about why he felt his preferred knot worked best. I'll bet Captain Lee would have tried.
The one other thing that get to me is that she really didn't save him. If u watch to show then u know she was supposed to be helping him but instead she was just standing around instead of doing her job!!!!!!!
Ashton is more concerned about his ego than his crew ... He should have been escorted off the boat when he tried to punch Kate and charges should have been pressed on him .... I'm wondering how many times he's gotten violent like this with other women when he's been rejected or violent with anyone ... First of All, Rhylee said "Man Overboard" like she was whispering in a child's ear, so Capt. Lee can Stop with that nonsense ! When Rhylee said it so timidly (why can't she talk like that everyday) Capt. Lee said "What, man overboard" then Rhylee said it again !
P.S. It was a Cameraman that saved Ashton & the main reason why, is because he jumped right in the ocean & probably most importantly, he had a switchblade & was able to cut the rope !

At about the 2:20 mark up to 2:40 Rhylee is literally trying to tell us viewers that she Always gets along w. her co-workers, she is known as Smiley Rhylee & the Best was, she rarely gets mouthy !! I defy Any1 to show me just 1 co-worker that we seen Rhylee work with, alongside or they worked on the yacht, that Rhylee did not get in an argument with - Except Capt. Lee !!

Ashton set Rhylie up to fail by telling Tanner and Brian she’s trouble before she even stepped foot on the boat. He planted the seed. I know Rhylie can be pretty confrontational but some of reactions to what she said was blown way out. Tanner and Brian are just Ashtons little douche bag puppets.

Ashton is not professional. He told Rhylee she was in charge when they were stepping onto the boat, she had no time to prep. They never got into trouble with the park rangers, he called them. That being said she should have been let go long ago with her snippy attitude.
I don't think how Ashton handled Rhylee was right, but on the other hand, Ryhlee is very defensive and always looking for a fight. That kind of person is hard to manage even for a very experienced Supervisor.
On the whole fishing incident..... Isn't this a perfect example of dysfunction making something simple way more complicated than it should be? I have never worked on a yacht, but I have been in the workforce long enough to know how powerful a team can be when we are not tripping over each others egos. Ashton and Rhylee could have sat down together for maybe 15 minutes and planned this trip. It might have made for crappy tv ,but I would much rather see those two have a breakthrough and pull of something amazing. They could have worked off each others strengths. Instead it appeared that Rhylee was set up for failure. It was Ashton's moment to say, "see! she doesn't know what she is doing!" It does reflect poorly on his management abilities. Maybe I'm also on the Kate is Great bandwagon, but I applaud her for sticking by Rhylee and not throwing Ashton under the bus when she had a chance. Obviously, she has her quirks and I would never want to get on her bad side....but Kate's the type of person I would want to work with. She doesn't put up with sh*t, hates weakness, but she would make you a better worker and could be counted on when the chips were down. I see why Captain Lee likes working with her. Plus, she's great to look at!
I would like to see Riley speak to captain Lee just once like she did to Ashton her boss mind you, and see what he would do.
