My reaction to Led Zeppelin's intimate ballad "Thank You" off of their 2nd studio album "Led Zeppelin ll". Make sure to comment, like, and subscribe! #ledzeppelin #thankyou
That's funny my wife and I have decided to have this song and video played at our funeral with pictures of us replaced in parts of the video because the vid is as beautiful as the song
@@emmanuelflores9983 hi one of your subs if you have not watched the video it's the one with the picture of mountains and a lake great video fits the song so well
This is one of my very favourite live songs!!! The Blueberry hill 4 Sept 1970 is one of the best live versions of this song and this whole concert are amazing, one of their very best.
Great to see you back man, was hoping all is well with you. I knew you were going to like this song since I think I remember you have liked all the slower ballad type songs. I’m th he same way... “that’s the way” and “ten years gone” are other ones to look forward to ;) Jimmy said that it took a little while before Robert was comfortable enough to write the lyrics for any songs... This was the first one he wrote.
the fact that all these years later and younger folks are still listening to Led Zeppelin shows just how timeless their music really is . I wonder what the three remaining members would think of this ? that being said it is good to see these tunes being heard for the first time thru younger eyes or should I say ears .
Yeah it really does i mean i'm a 20 year old from iran and even tho i was born 20 years after the last album they've made and in a completly diffrent country and english is not even my first language but still i love them first song i've ever heard of them was ofcourse stairway to hevean simply because it was the best rock song of all time in rollingstone but oh god when i heard it,it was just somthing else and then the raw power of whollata love the groove of kashmir the bluesiness of since of been loving you or all those feeling and emotions rushing through your heart in songs like thank you the rain song or going to california the passion of jimmys guitar or the strengh of bonzo's drums and the way that drum marries that base it was just amazing something else not like anything else i've heard befor it made me fall in love with rock and music in general it was almost one and half year from that first time that first of many many times listening to them and still every time i hear their songs i get carried away with the music. P.s:sorry if i rambled on this much
in high school we listened to this album for years....this was one of the "B side" songs that I didn''t get to until the year after we graduated....it will forever remind of that rainy fall in Ohio.
I love me some Led Zeppelin...out of all their songs....This one....this one here...is....my ...all-time favorite.....and personally when this came out I thought that this should have been their closing song on the album.
Great reaction and congrats on not missing the fade back in at the end, that happens a lot. We had an assignment in high school English class to bring in and play a love song to the class, I brought this one in. It's a definitely a great love song.
It's rare to hear Jimmy sing, but that's him harmonizing with Robert on the "little drops of rain..." part. FYI, Jimmy recorded only one single in his career that he sings on. It's called She Just Satisfies and was recorded while he was still a studio musician. He plays all of the instruments except drums and produced it as well. The flip side is an instrumental called "Keep Moving".
You’ll have to dig pretty damned deep to find one you don’t like. They are the only band I know who I can honestly say I like EVERY one of their songs.
I've been waiting for you to this song since you said it was your next one to do like I've said most of their songs are love songs(but not all) weather it be happy or tragic this is my fav song of theirs such a well written beautiful love song cant wait for you to get to I'm gonna crawl as well crafted as this song with the same meaning unfortunately it will be awhile because the song is on their last album but you will love the next two coming up both have great solos from Jimmy I just hope your time line for new videos is a little quicker than a month apart
This is my 2nd favorite Led Zeppelin song behind Kasimir. Thank you for listening to the VERY END of this beautiful song. Keep letting the LED out and enjoy!!!
Make sure you play the next two songs, "Heartbreaker" & "Livin' Lovin' Maid" Hah as soon as I was finished typing this you said you're gonna play them together
He's back!!!!!! It's a guarantee you will love this album no question. Emmanuel you have to play Heartbreaker and Livin' Lovin" Maid together you will understand why.
This is an important song in the story of Led Zeppelin, as it was the first song Robert wrote the lyrics for, and up until this point...Jimmy and Peter Grant had no idea if it was going to be a problem. After this, they knew that everything was going to be alright. Btw, everytime your elbow hits (whatever it's hitting), and you set your bottle down, the thump comes through on the video. Just sayin'.
Gotta tell you, commenters will back me up: Thank You studio version is a good song...but live versions are SOOOOOO much better. The live versions are electric...the studio is acoustic. Particularly live BBC Sessions version czcams.com/video/meJ1okJysT8/video.html Page/Plant czcams.com/video/jI_SqAnTNoY/video.html or Blueberry Hill bootleg czcams.com/video/YWg0wL23lS8/video.html or live in Montreaux march 1970 czcams.com/video/e9WhaDYD2HQ/video.html
glad to see you back. theres a FANTASTIC live version of this from bbc sessions, for me this is possibly jimmys best ever solo!!! he tears it up!! czcams.com/video/meJ1okJysT8/video.html
Robert didn’t write songs at the beginning. He and Maureen comforted each other through the death of their little boy in 1977. Then Bonham death. They weathered allot together. The had another son in...I think...1979. Although Plant is an EXTREMELY private person and I have never heard him speak of the reasons for their divorce......I think the fact that Robert made the decision to start his career anew in 1981, and would be gone again so much even after having been blessed with another son......I think Maureen just didn’t want to continue with that. Plant had to keep going for his own sanity....the way he dealt with grief was to keep moving he has said. They are on friendly terms at this point, all these years later. I know Plant has had lady friends over the years, including a relationship with the singer/songwriter Patty Griffin, but don’t know if he ever married again. Some say they were secretly married, but you know how rumors fly around anything Zeppelin, even years after they stopped.
"Tangerine" is another little lovely Zep song you will like a lot, I bet
Greatest band ever.
And they will always be the best rock band til the end of time, PERIOD!!🙏😉
I've left instructions that at my funeral Zeppelin will be played...I have a list!
That's funny my wife and I have decided to have this song and video played at our funeral with pictures of us replaced in parts of the video because the vid is as beautiful as the song
Beautiful choice!

I agree you will love tangerine
This Zep head really enjoys your reactions!
Glad you didnt miss the fade out/fade back in, which would be a mortal sin!
Like many others, this was our wedding song.
This song doesn't get nearly as much credit as it deserves... and it gets a lot of credit!
its a quiet melodic tune in a sea of loud led zeppelin, what do you expect lol.
Very few reacters catch the fade back in. Good job. What a beautiful song.
Zeppelin is my favorite band and II my favorite album of theirs, so that would make this album my all time best ever.
I listened to this after I had heard all your other reactions. This is one (just one, there are many) of their best
Make sure you play the next two songs, "Heartbreaker" & "Livin' Lovin' Maid"

That’s a love song!!!!
Great reaction! So heartfelt.
nice one
I had a hard time counting Bonham's intro coming out of the guitar solo organ part. Band was tight. Same thing on Black Dog.
whats better then roses on your piano, tulips on your organ...
In my time of dying next!!
My Wedding song
only one led zeppelin once in a life time band
The Organ and the arrangment was mostly done by John Paul Jones!
Jimmy also Sings a Little Back Up ...
Ten years gone
He wrote that song for his wife Maureen Wilson

Where the heck were you? 😁😎👏👏👏👏👏
"Thank You" - The "softer side" of Led Zeppelin.........
JohnnPaul Jones can play keyboards or anything needed
