  • This is a film about the dewatered section and "Lost Canal" of the Northern section of the Lancaster canal between the hamlet of Stainton to the town of Kendal, Cumbria.
    This is my first post so I do hope you enjoy it. There will be many more to come.

    I cycled the Tewitfield to Kendal section today, quite bizarre to find a bridge in the middle of a field. Just like I had stumbled on the remains of a previous existence, which I suppose I had. Oh for it to have still been there. The canal that is. Thank you for the video.

      During this lockdown I have been researching and walking both the canal and also the old Arnside to hincaster railway ...there is a book that has just come out about the railway ...could be your next video as go go hand in hand

    Nobody in the area refers to the A590 as the A Five Nine Zero. They simply call it the A5 ninety.....
