I just bought it today the 30th anniversary edition for 16$ and even the bluray version it came with looks really good. Nothing like the blu ray seen on this vid
Nice and yeah the bluray has the same 4k restoration just in 1080p so you have the same color grading and clean up job.

The audio has also been upgraded from lossy to lossless. It’s a decent noticeable uptick actually

Does the Blu-ray here also contain the new scan, or is it just a port of the old Blu-ray? Sometimes companies only concentrate on the actual 4k disk itself.

am i the only one who prefers the blueray? and thinks the newer version introduces too much contrast?
Blacks are way to crushed.. colors are dull and washed out, image is flat, wrong aspect ratio and it's 16yrs yrs old. I'm not sure how bluray looks better? There is a clear difference
@@Sam-tw8fi didn't say there wasn't a difference infact i pointed out the difference. Just a matter of personal preference.
I think most 4ks add more contrast in general. But I'm starting to notice there is more color variants also, it's a wider color gamut. With all the added detail, the movie looks better in general.
Wow... This movie never looked good, this 4K changes everything.
