Oak, I get it... It's hard? I mean... I wood be punny if I wood tell you how the mill cuts into this lolz grain and burns the midnight dust. I'll see myself out
As one who used balsa for RC planes in his teens, I cry inside each time you break that much balsa wood, as it used to cost a fortune! Still, love the videos!
@@Wortwort-Spooderbat oh yes! It was too costly to keep repairing them after dogs fights lol. Back in the days of combustion engines. Bloody deadly by today’s standards! Cox for the win!
There are a couple of ways.. one of the easiest is to become a PA and work on sets and talk to everyone. A lot of crew and even well known actors started as a PA. You can take college classes and when it comes time to do internship you get the phone numbers of the people you work with and show how hard you work and will likely start getting jobs if you do well. Last option is to know someone in the business that will vouch for you but that requires you knowing where to find people and getting them to agree to help you get work.
@@QargZer exactly how I worked my way into SFX. I met someone at college who introduced me to an AD, I became a PA and made contacts. Much easier to get into your chosen department once you’re already in the industry and show you can work hard. I think many hopefuls would be amazed how many people starting in the industry screw it up with stupid stuff like being super late, slacking off, being rude, not listening, lying etc. We’ve cycled through quite a few people that tick those boxes in the last year. Most supervisors want to avoid that risk as you could be stuck with that ‘employee’ for the length of the job.
The expression after each pun, turning his cheek to the camera like he's waiting for someone to slap him. Makes these videos pure gold. Love your videos Scott!
I absolutely love your channel and the montage of dad jokes 😂. I'm a prop designer and continuity analyst for a student film crew. I think I've learned some of my best tips and tricks from you
I remember that WCW used to have balsa wood chairs as improvised weapons, but found that having to make them constantly instead of just using steel chairs repeatedly was too costly.
It's been tree hours since my first time watching this and I still don't know if I'm just barking at the wrong tree as this joke just did not knock on wood. Like it wood.
Also another thing is tool handles usually don’t break like that. They break with a lot of long jagged bits that really stick out. Those handles are meant to hold or withstand a lot of force. And are also usually replaceable if you can make a new tool. IE you could just take the head off an axe and put a new handle on it.
I love how well you stick these puns.
Haha
Oak, I get it... It's hard? I mean... I wood be punny if I wood tell you how the mill cuts into this lolz grain and burns the midnight dust.

These tree right here officer
I wouldn't say the puns are good. They are pine.
@@KhrisMiddletonFitnessOfficial i love your name
Still looks like it wood hurt but if It doesn’t that’s oak

@@sandhanitizer15 yeah didn’t think of that…
Did you ever build those cheap wooden airplanes? Same exact wood, it's like natural Styrofoam
Get out.
Pine wouldn’t break like balsa would. Sorry, I keep coming up with puns after the fact.
That balls of steel pun was really good. I enjoy all the puns!!
pine woodn’t
Hahaha!!!
Tfw you think of a better comeback in the shower after the conversation already happened
Sounds like pine alright. Just like LEGO you keep stepping on more painful ones when you thought you'd got them all. Sometimes even a year later.
Wood you look at that.

I bet ya never tried line control planes mate. Also balsa wood
I helped build those little rubber band planes out of balsa wood with kids. It’s so fragile. So many broken planes. So many tears. So much hot glue.

You’re the king of puns.

That pun was my favorite of all time, Scott!!!
The puns don't always hit but I have to respect the absolute effort that goes into making it literally every episode
So I'm assuming Vin Diesel in his Fast and Furious movies must use a lot of balsa wood.
we use that in architecture to make models since it's reqlly easy to cut and bend
Best pun ever. I think it wood be one of my favorites.
How do interested people even get into this industry? Can you do a video about that?
They just watch his videos
In your profile pic it looks like you spray tanned half of your body and forgot to do the other half, lol.

Ochroma gosh that's cool! if you see a guy break a shovel over his knee you know he goes against the grain.
I keep saying thank you for breaking this things for us, the viewers. It really gives me a perspective of how they're done. Thank you.

Honestly one of your best puns yet. Got a VERY wide grin and a head shake out of me
Balsa wood is actually used for a lot of model rocket fins because it's extremely light but good for sanding into an aerodynamic shape
I love his look at the end it got me every single time 😂😂😂
The pun was amazing!
Use balsa wood if you have balsa steel😏
You're wearing a shirt from my favorite aquarium!
What, so you're telling me that Dwayne Johnson didn't really break that tree in half with his hands?
Good God that dad joke at the end was glorious

As soon as he looked off the camera after he made the pun I was honestly expecting him to get hit with the head of the shovel
I was two shorts away when the pun clicked and had to come back to drop a like 😂
I can really dig these props
Boy. Oh boy! You stuck that landing! 10!
The metal "dong" sound at the end was a nice touch.
