- It Is a a patriotic song for Germany(Die Wacht am Rhein). This version was never put on CZcams so i did it myself. It WAS on soundcloud and i took it off soundcloud so here's the soundcloud version here.

I like to think of the German Empire as the "German Golden Age" because at the time they were undoubtedly the strongest nation in terms of army strength (although the Kaiser's cousin still ruled the waves). They had a few colonies and trading ports as well. The Germans were finally united under one flag, and I'm sure that's what they wanted in the end. Even after losing two huge wars, suffering an economic crisis, and being split in half for almost fifty years, the German fatherland and its people were always determined to defy the odds. Even though we were on opposite sides of both world wars, Germany really deserves credit for being a wonderful country through even the toughest of times. Long live the German fatherland! Fun fact, by 1914, the nation who ruled the waves was actually Germany. After trying to catch up with British naval dominance, the Germans built a majestic fleet of their own, more numerous and powerful than the british one.
I wish Kaiserreich still had this version. I really like this one!
Same here, that's why I have playlists for Kaiserreich, not saying the music is bad, it's really good compared to HOI4 mods and I also tend to go through all the songs and put the ones I like on my playlist, I can look at the internet for other good songs and put them in a playlist as well. This is why I have so many playlists.

Very epic picture.
Many seem to call this a "war song" (=march). It's indeed a military song, but not a march! The song solely highlights the devoted (~fest und treu) defense (!) at the Rhein border (a fare portion of the west border). The message is the affirmation of keeping your people unconcerned (~lieb Vaterland, magst ruhig sein - dearest motherland, calm you may be) by vowing for protection of Germany and the legacy of your serving ancestors (~Heldenväter), who shall be your guardian angels.
It's a pure and awesome song of values, that sadly nowadays seem to fade.

@@tennumb2710 Fatherland and Motherland are two different words. Derived from the Latin word “patria,” “fatherland” implies heritage, tradition, government and order, whereas “motherland” suggests nurturing and a place of birth. They exist in german and english

@@reformedpeter-timesoul9778 Unfortunately, with the (I'd argue justified) ban on N@zi symbolism in Germany, a lot of the neo-N@zi folks have started using Imperial symbolism instead.
@@b.t.peterson6429 I do understand that, but me personally and on a educated level I think imagery for hateful ideologies should still fly in many cases. And the solution that I find better personally is keeping the content that is meant to put these ideas to bad views with cases where hateful content is also found than the opposite.

I'm not sure why that sounded so novel to me. Maybe American historians tend to characterize Serbia as part of the eastern front. Or maybe they regard it as a mostly Austrian problem.
This is my speculation: by 1914, the 2 obvious fronts are:
- Eastern against Russia
- Western against France, Britain, and Belgium
While the 3rd front can mean either:
- Southern with Austria-Hungary against Serbia, or...
- Colonial front, or...
- Home front.
