I'm Korean, but listening to this song makes me want to be Russian. Even if I can't be Russian, I want to love Russia. It seems to be one of the great cultural heritage of Russia.
I have always felt a great affinity for the USSR, whilst fully recognising its many faults and failures. As readily as popular culture in much of the world ignores it, there's no way that any sensible analysis of modern history can fail to recognise the immense contribution that the USSR made to humanity on a cultural and scientific level. This anthem is majestic. It doesn't make me wish I was Russian, but that wasn't ever what it was about. At least in theory, it was always about ordinary people, their freedom to choose their own path in life, to share somewhat in the enjoyment of the wealth produced by the collective labours of themselves and their peers, without regard for national borders. I don't need to be Russian, or to fool myself about what the Soviet Union ultimately became before it's demise to appreciate the beauty of this immensely moving and powerful composition. It's genuinely magnificent.

Wie wahr! Und die Natur. Beim Anblick der Bilder habe ich mich an einen Lufthansa Flug nach Japan über die unermesslichen Weiten des schneebedeckten Sibiriens erinnert. An meine Konversation mit dem Flight Attendant, der, wie sich herausstellte, Russisch in Moskau studiert und auch am Baikal See gelebt hatte. I have always felt a great affinity for the USSR, whilst fully recognising its many faults and failures. As readily as popular culture in much of the world ignores it, there's no way that any sensible analysis of modern history can fail to recognise the immense contribution that the USSR made to humanity on a cultural and scientific level.
This anthem is majestic. It doesn't make me wish I was Russian, but that wasn't ever what it was about. At least in theory, it was always about ordinary people, their freedom to choose their own path in life, to share somewhat in the enjoyment of the wealth produced by the collective labours of themselves and their peers, without regard for national borders.
I don't need to be Russian, or to fool myself about what the Soviet Union ultimately became before it's demise to appreciate the beauty of this immensely moving and powerful composition.

Gemeinsam haben wir diese Weiten bewundert - an Bord war es völlig ruhig, Nachtflug. Und jetzt muss man einen Umweg von 3 Stunden fliegen..... Alles nur sehr traurig. Aber die Werte des Westen gehen eben vor. Die werden in Gaza zerbombt und ausgehungert.
ich komme aus Russland und schaue gestern im Internet nach - wie sich die Mitarbeiter des Vallourec-Werks von der Fabrik verabschieden und das letzte Rohr produziert wird - es tut mir ehrlich weh. Deutsche Waren sind wirklich von hoher Qualität und diese Technologien wurden seit Jahren entwickelt - warum stecken Sie dieses Scholz-Rohr nicht zwischen das Gesäß? Wo ist der deutsche Geist und Stolz, wo ist der Wunsch, sein Land zu verteidigen? Wie Sie schweigen, während Ihre Produktion entweder geschlossen wird oder gezwungen ist, in die USA und China zu gehen. Ehrlich gesagt tut es mir nicht leid für andere Länder, die Waffen gegen Russland liefern, aber die Deutschen wurden immer für ihren enormen Fleiß und ihre Ehrlichkeit respektiert

Moj ulubiony hymn, najpiękniejszy na calym świecie. Proszę też o nie słuchanie bzdur naszych polityków bo większość Polaków nie myśli tak wcale nie temat Rosji. Oni wciąż latają do USA po polecenia i powtarzają wszystko co im tam każą. Nie mieliśmy też zbytnio wyboru, bo prawie wszystkie partie u nas tak się zachowują. Ale ostatnie protesty przeciwko rządowi miały ogromne poparcie Polaków i ogromny sprzeciw gdy oni chcieli, żebyśmy dołączyli do wojny.

@lessormore001 Unfortunately people of Poland and also Ukraine or especially members of old union Warsaw (During USSR) don't have enough experience about dirty games of USA and it's Nato. USSR has never been problem for Türkiye, also Russia after USSR. We have good friendships,business. But usa has organised four times military coup in 1960,in 1970,in 1980 and in 2015 (that is unsuccessful). You can imagine how many thousands have died. The reason was only " We didn't want to be agree with usa" .For example our president and three ministers have planned to visit Moscow in 1950 's, but only a few days before usa made military coup and that president with his that three ministers had been killed, execution in 1960. There are many things to talk about.. Russia has never made attack to other countries, Hitler,Napoleon they have started the attacks. I have studied in Belarus, also I have lived in Russia and I have been in Ukraine. I would like to say EU is using Ukraine people to get the land of Siberia. EU needs all the valuable things of Siberia. I have lived there for two years, unbelievable beauties, very valuable land. EU anymore can not control Africa and from there imperialism doesn't work anymore. The story of " Arabic Spring" didn't work. By the lie of democracy EU and nato killed hundred thousands of people in Iraq, in Syria, in Yemen, in Libya, in Algeria, in Afghanistan, in Egypt ex.. Why? Only to build there their own (partner) government for imperialism. But plan doesn't work. Especially after they succeed to break down USSR, they got many many valuable things also from Poland. They bought your all valuable things, factories ex,because you did have experience about capitalism. Yeltsin has gave many things even uranium as free. But Putin has stopped that system, anymore from Russia and from Belarus is not " going water " to EU. There for Putin and Lukasenko called dictator! Who doesn't do as EU wants,than he is called dictator. Than they started to help nazists in Ukraine, only to use them in war. The plan was so clear, EU at first wanted to make crisis as " Russia will make attack",than just cause of " to stop attack " EU planned to start that attack by the help of Ukraine nazists. Because there had to be a logical reason to start that attack. But as Putin explained in the first day " in second world war we have waited first step from them,but now we will not wait". Unfortunately, Ukraine politics and some people of Ukraine preferred friendship with EU instead of Russia and they have already started war in the beginnings of 2010's. But EU has never seen, talked about them. There is agreement Minsk, there is promise that nato will not develop it's map to Russia, but Ukraine and EU forgot them. Also this is long history, there are many details. But my friend, unfortunately for EU will be difficult days. The reason is not war, the reason is " from Africa, from Russia anymore water $ is not coming ". The sun will rise up from east. Factories are there, all the things( material) are there,population are there and they all used to live in difficulties but in EU not. They all used to live very comfortably. About my country; I have been working in tourism, I have some informations for you please; I may recommend Antalya but especially in september or in october. Why: In July and in august it will be too hot in average 35 degrees. Bu in october 30-33. There is a very nice and silent town please check about it. It's located on west side of Antalya.
