    I was at Lake Greeson almost 2 weeks ago, I had some good top water bites

      Nice! The water was cooler from the rain in this trip, but got a few on. Missed so many due to the smaller size. I will have to check out Greeson. Tight lines man!

    Nice fixing snag me a Primo for the beach house. Lots of brackish ponds full of reds in North Carolina

    Great vids! How would you rate the Primo as an all rounder/lakes and rivers?

    • @Itchin2Fish
      @Itchin2Fish  Před 18 hodinami +1

      Thanks for watching!
      Primo doesn’t track well and easily gets blown around. If you were just into kayaking and not fishing, more into recreational paddling. The primo is perfect! Light weight, portable easy paddling, but in the wind it would be rough.
      Ponds, creeks and shallow rivers are great for Primo.
      In my opinion the LT2 is more versatile for all body’s of water. The keel allows better tracking, more stable, big hatch for camping gear, holds in wind etc.
      I just bought a CK1, it may be the best of both. Kind of in between the Primo/LT2. Stay tuned for that.
      Love the primo though. Definitely need an anchor system and it will be fine, but not as stable as the LT or Shoalie due to the size though. For its size it’s awesome though.

    Hard to tell on camera, was any of that class2 rapids, or all class1? Also, how shallow can the primo go before scraping?

    • @Itchin2Fish
      @Itchin2Fish  Před 29 dny +1

      This section has Class l-ll+, the water was lower than normal that day so milder than normal.
      Depending on how much weight is on the boat, I’ve been through 5”-8” of water without scraping. If you have it loaded down may need a little more. When I use it I keep it light and efficient for that reason. Tight lines!

    For paddling up river, how does the primo, ck1, and lt2 compare to each other. Also, of those three, which does best in shallow water situations? Thank you so much for your time.

    • @Itchin2Fish
      @Itchin2Fish  Před 28 dny +1

      All three in my experience does well padding upstream, but the LT will be the heaviest to move but the keel helps with tracking. Primo would be the easiest and lightest to go upstream, CK would be next. CK would probably be the best first a little better tracking than the Primo due to the length. It’s only 5 pounds heavier and wider for stability. The LT is best boat all around for all types of water, but needs a little deeper water for that keel at least 10” of water depending on the weight in the boat. Primo tracks the worst but it and CK has a round bottom that doesn’t track as well, but you can cut easier around rapids and can get into shallow water.

    Which is your favorite? Shoalie or the Primo? I am interested in a crescent. Would appreciate your breakdown on both.

    • @Itchin2Fish
      @Itchin2Fish  Před měsícem +1

      Throw and go, shallow/low water, top loading on the jeep, light gear fishing missions….Primo
      Camping, long trips on river, ease of fish ability, accessories and mounting options, stability would go to the Shoalie. It’s a better fishing platform but pricy. It does better on stability, currents and in the wind.
      Primo definitely needs an anchor system cuz it’s shorter and lighter.
      Love my Shoalie great in shallower water too but heavier. I would use the Shoalie more, but it’s not fun loading by yourself on top of a jeep. Primo is so easy to load, but if you have a truck or trailer then the Shoalie is great.
      Side note: best all around goes to the LT2 or all water types. Shoalie and Primo wouldn’t be the greatest for lake fishing, they are better for moving water.
