    This review and your river review of this kayak was what led me to wanting to get the CK1. Bought it last January, and finally had a chance to get it on the water this last weekend. Was a blast! I'm still new to kayaking, so can't wait to get out once a week for rest of the summer and early fall, just learning how to kayak and grow in it.

    Really enjoyed your reviews on the CK1. I got one last summer in large part because of them and absolutely love the boat. And still love watching the reviews, especially when I can't get on the water - makes me feel like I'm there. Thanks!

    I am looking forward to your opinion of the boat in moving water. I have had mine out a handful of times now but twice in the river. I bought it to be my backyard river boat and I love it out there. I had been taking my Lite tackle at the higher flows and was running it fine but the CK1 is soo much easier to turn on a dime or even stop LOL

    Yea loving my ck1 man 👍 It really glides across the water and I don't have a ton of kayaking experience as this was my first kayak I've owned but I was able to stand up in it and fish comfortably. Now Im an athletic guy so that helps but it's still impressive. Also I have a aqua bound manta ray Hybrid paddle that is working well but I do have some fatigue and I'm an in shape guy (I'm sure technique has a lot to do with it) but I'm already looking into one of these Werner shuna or camano paddles. Trying to decide what one to go with. 🤙

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Před 3 lety

      Dude you will not go wrong with a Werner yeah the upfront cost is high but because it’s a fishing / rec style is will last forever. I highly recommended it

    Great video as always. Ive watched alot of your videos while deciding on a kayak. I know you've also paddled the Native Falcon 11 and said it was quick. On flat water what paddled faster between the Falcon and the CK1? I think I'm down to those two, but some of the Falcons features may be more of what I need. Just curious on the paddling speed between the two. Thanks!

    • @WadeHarrison

    So since you've paddled the UL, LT and CK1. Do you prefer any of them overall? Your thoughts on the Lite Tackle two years ago helped convince me to purchase one, and I love it. The CK1 seems pretty amazing for a 60lb 11' yak, and I'm tempted to pick one up once the initial demand cools down. But not sure I'll part with the LT just yet. Great videos man. Cheers!

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Před 3 lety +2

      The LT is better in open water like those long cross lake paddles the LT is faster and feels about the same on stability but lacks the nimble feel of the CK1
      I do love the internal storage of the LT was not that big of a fan of the UL it’s good boat I just thought it was lacking in a few areas and the CK1 fixed that in my opinion there’s
      The perfect combo is LT and CK1 there’s day I could easily paddle either

    Hey Wade. I’ve been kayak fishing a while, but mostly on pedal kayaks. What length paddle are you using on your CK1? I already had a 240, but I’m still getting wet from the drips on my new CK1. I have to paddle with a very conservative side stroke to keep the drips outside the boat, and I’m trying to figure out if it’s my form or the equipment. Thanks

    Do you think this would have enough room for an 80 pound lab to sit comfortably or even lay down. I'm only 5'3". Unfortunately, nobody has them in stock locally and I'd have to order and have delivered. Hoping to get a better idea of just how big the deck actually is before I take the jump. Thank you.
