It would be so easy for Crescent to put out a 2-minute video saying the specs and some quick marketing mumbo-jumbo, but these deep dives where James takes us bow to stern and EXPLAINS THE HULL DESIGN are one of the million reasons why this company is #1. Great job, Crescent!
Comments like this 🥹. The whole point is to make it looks easy but this was shot at 1AM after second shift had gone home and was part of a day that had Scott and I getting up at 4:30 to start shooting and not making it back to the house until 3Am. So it means a lot when you guys appreciate the effort!

After seeing this kayak in person, sitting in it, and paddling it, I can assure anyone that there is not a kayak out there at this price point with this high of quality. The high end resin, the well known companies that partnered with Crescent, the High/Low seat option, the paddle park, the deck itself, the ability to stand in a 10 foot kayak, the molded 10/32 inserts for adding tracks, the lowered chines aiding in the feel of the boat on the water without having that "tippy" feeling that so many other small boats do, and more. All these things alone is more than anyone else is doing on a boat this size, but Crescent had to go one further and put it at a price point that allows someone to get into a supreme quality kayak at an unimaginable attainable price. I have always been impressed with Crescents Kayaks and James' passion and commitment to quality, but this thing is on a whole other level. Primo is the name and says it all. Fantastic job on this one, you didn't just knock it out of the park, you all created a whole new playing field.

Agreed. The only one I know of is Liv Outside but they shipped my CK1 and Ultralite to Ottawa for a very reasonable charge.
VERY well done on all aspects. With all the CK-1's I currently have, I still want one of these too.. But my wife likely won't go for it anytime soon. We'll see. Congratulations on another masterpiece.

This primo looks like my ultra-lite's big brother. Fantastic job stretching the width and length just a bit but still keeping it light. Cresent boats paddle so good. My 10 ft Ultralight glides straight to a stop. Seats could be better. I would def buy another.

Fantastic walk-through. Your love of the game shows not just in this video but in all of your products as well as customer service. My hopefully soon to be daughter-in-law will be in a Primo by the summer so she can paddle with my son on his CK1. It's the perfect kayak for her. She loves the river, but it's time she got out of the canoe with her dad, lol.

Looks like another great quality yak from Crescent. Love the built-in inserts. Love that it has the ability to add track in the back without screwing into the boat. Love the shallow draft with weight capacity. Great throw and go. Hoping you guys build a longer SF line yak with all the quality and more capacity for fishing/kayak camping. ✌️

I know you all about paddling.. but anxiously awaiting to see what you come up with for pedaling! It's here, it's a thing, gotta embrace it at some point. Not only is it good way to change things up but it's also for those with limited accessibility... injuries, etc. Giving more people more ways to enjoy the water.
I bought my 1st Kayak; the Crescent LiteTackle II and the Primo will be my next Kayak before next year!
This is definitely going to be my secondary throw and go kayak! I have a big pedal drive Wilderness Systems Radar 135 which is nice, but it’s too much to deal with if I want head out for a quick trip in some backwater sloughs. I like the size/weight of the Primo, and you had me sold with the power pole mount.👌🏾🔥

I've always been a boater but after seeing some guy hauling monsters up with a kayak I was also hooked. I've been shopping for a kayak for a long time and it seems to me as a retired inspector, that your kayaks scream quality. I like that you're allowing the customer to decide where rod holders and other accoutrements should be placed. I appreciate that you use American workers and products. I like how you all listen to the customers and upgrade on the fly (simple things like paddle keeps etcetera). It's very helpful when ya make walkthrough videos of all your products. I've already contacted my local dealers for a Primo. I will place a blackpack with rod holders behind me and voila!: A very portable and affordable fishing kayak. Thanks for making such great stuff at value prices!
I think this is going to be my kiddo’s first fishing kayak, I cannot believe yall were able to put this much into a boat at this price!
Something that may be interesting in the future would be including some paddler height dimensioning. I’ll obviously take my son to a dealer to see how it fits, but it would be cool to get an idea of how well he’s going to reach the foot pegs.

Looks like their CK1 but with a shallower draft and more primary stability. Hopefully we see a video showing a compatible rudder installed soon. Love it!
Exactly- we wanted to give more primary stability on this one as there will be a variety of skill levels paddling and hopefully this will be a lot of people’s first kayak!
I know A LOT of kayak fisherman that bought the wrong boat. So many ppl think they want a bigger fully rigged tournament style fishing kayak. These are not grab and go kayaks that can be thrown on top after work for a quick fishing trip on your local creek, river, or lake. They end up selling them or they sit on a trailer without much use. The Primo would be a better option for many OR get one to supplement your large fishing kayak. At that price, you could have both. You got me considering this one.
In a fishing kayak I love the idea of the chines being a little longer. I like that immediate feedback while im fishing bc im not always paying attention to my balance. Having the seat in optimal position while traveling down river to my hole then being able to raise the seat while fishing is another huge bonus. It allows better visibility, easier movement when landing a fish or standing. Really solid design
We are so excited about this new model. Offering a High quality contruction and value option for a new paddler and with great attention to detail. No Inch worms and easily removable deck bungee! That's shows an eye for durability and we can't wait to be using the Primo in our 2024 rental programs!
This is the kayak for so many people and not just because of the price (which is stellar). The capacity, length, and weight make this one of the best all rounders in the market. Easy to store and haul, plus great on water experience. Can't wait to try this one out on some water. Well done y'all!

I bought a Nucanoe Unlimited 3 months ago, and my wife always ask me why i still watch these videos when I have one. Truth is i like James' explanations and presentation. I anticipate owning a Crescent one day because of the extreme detail and thoughtfulness put into their products. I need that salt/coastal boat!

This boat will be a real winner, very similar to a boat that I had used for many many years an emotion spitfire nine. One of the greatest boats ever, ultimate, throw and go, and if loaded properly can do almost anything. The only downfalls of the emotion are the thin hull. Crescent are extremely robust and in my opinion the best you can get keep up the great work guys.

Can I get a job?? lol. Seems like a company that would be great to work for with fantastic products. What I appreciate is the effort put in to the attention to detail. The couple videos of I have watched of this gentleman talking through every inch of this kayak is cool to see, the passion shines through. I have to make a trip down to my nearest dealer here in Texas to see these kayaks in person
I hope this brand of kayak reaches the Brazilian market. If it comes with a rear support for a 3hp engine, that would be welcome.
You guys!… take this with the lens that I am on a fixed budget and have space constraints and don’t have 5 boats, but everything I love about my Crescent ultralite I use for river and creek fishing, and paddling calm lakes, the last few years appears to still be here on this boat,
but you solved some of my hesitations to grab the ultralite every time I go out.
I also have a 12 ft peddle kayak from another brand, that sometimes I take on the river or creek (without the peddle) instead of the ultralite, only, because of lack of stability and standing in the ultralite, but I don’t like that larger boat because it’s so damn heavy and doesn’t have the paddle performance and not nimble like the ultralite.
I dig the other features here on this kayak that my ultralite doesn’t have, like the paddle park strap and high/low seat, and cup holder, and bolts for plate, and weight capacity compared to boat size.
I will add deck pad kit and gear tracks in mid ship and tank well and get rid of the bungees, but I get why you are building it that way. Not everyone fishes that paddles and you’re keeping cost down.
Also, appreciate you for the family business and made in USA and US partnerships you’re doing.
I also have daughters, and am adding a boat this year to support my growing paddling family. So I look forward to trying this boat out this spring and most likely adding it to my small armada as my #1 kayak.

Uh oh, looks like i am getting another kayak haha! I might even break my rule of always trying a kayak before buying it! My only concern is losing my mind trying to decide what yak to take out on any given outing, my ultralight or my primo 😅 I suspect the primo will rule for hitting shallow creeks and rapids, while the ultralite will have the edge on lakes and windy conditions 😊❤
If I was in the market today I would buy this in a hot minute. I bought a Vibe Yellowfin 100 a few years ago to be my throw and go when I don't want to haul the old 80 pound Ride 135. This beats the Vibe hands down. Next time I am looking I will keep this in mind.

Need it, expected something at a way higher pricepoint, which would be interesting, but probably not in my lane. This looks amazing and exactly what I'm looking for.
I hope this additional assessment will be taken as a compliment as intended.. This kayak so far looks to have the hull profile closest to my Generation 1 Jackson Coosa. I do love my G1 Coosa's agility, but it does not track very well.. Whereas this Primo has that tracking aspect engineered into the hull along with the rocker profile for agility. A rocker profile hull is extremely helpful in making quick last second turns, which I love!!
The CK-1 is extremely agile too and likely more so than the Primo.. But it's the shallower draft profile of the Primo's hull that makes it closer to the G1 Coosa, which is beneficial in my local calm skinny shallow rivers. I won't know for certain until I experience the Primo for myself... The Primo seems to be the direction I would have preferred the future generations of the Coosa to have went rather than so much bigger and heavier...
I also welcome the sealed hull of the Primo and the CK-1 over my G1 Coosa's propensity to take in water once you flip it over. I really hope to add a Primo to my quiver of 'yaks in the future.
The Primo hull is a blend of the Shoalie and the CK1 at a 10’6” length. The Shoalie is a blend of Crescent and Drew Gregory so I think you are pretty spot on!
I am also into the sealed hull.

I have been looking at which kayak to get for my first and it makes sense this is called Primo. American made and as a Georgia boy I find immense pride in them being made local.
I’m headed to my local dealer tomorrow to pick it up. I can’t wait for the adventures it will bring.

Question: If somebody gets this boat and then installs the cockpit track rails after the fact, does that void the warranty? Or, does it have to be the track from YakAttack via your store to maintain the warranty? Not to nit pick, but I'd absolutely want to have those rails but also want to maintain the warranty.

“Primo”, means “1st cousin” for the masculine, “Prima” for the feminine. It’s a strong family bond term used among 1st cousins.
In Italian it means first and also in a way means 1st in splash as well (1st, 1st cousin). We liked that double entendre as this will be many people’s first kayak! Cool you picked up on that
