Moto Camping On A Harley-Davidson Pan America In The Bunya Mountains

- In this vlog the old boy and I go for a spontaneous camping trip in the bunya mountains. Dad is on a KTM 1290 super adventure r and I'm on the Harley Davidson pan America. The bunya mountains are located around 3 hours west of Brisbane. The Harley Davidson adventure bike is definitely a game changer, I can still say I was camping on a Harley Davidson lol... Bunya has plenty of camping areas and day use areas also. I highly recommend everyone come here. This is the first motorcycle camping I've done in a very long time. Let me know below if I did well with the setup or what I could do better.

Great time away Lad, Bunya is a top spot and def keen to go back soon and mountain bike some of the tracks. Always good to hang out with ya, keep at the you tubie thing ya doin great, proud of ya.

Pretty awesome spot there! The birds there are loud! Good tomget out, and away from everything, when you can, and so damn cool you and your dad get out and hang! Always looks like you're having a great time! It'll be raining in GA this weekend, so, my plans are relocate license plate, 3 fluid change (your videos as reference...and I'm sure I'll be cussing and annoyed as well), and if risers get in today, I'm going to attempt to install my new 12" apes myself....could be a great victory, or epic disaster!

I took the Pan for a run off road it's a tank try to get your hands on a Desert x nice job Gnarly
I'd love to give it a try offroad !! But I think it's more and just an all rounder. Oh hell yeah the desert x looms awesome !!! Sign me up for a test ride haha

I have also mixed feelings about the Pan American. A few people I know that had them were not happy with the weight & some of the off road handling . I think your old man's KTM is a far better bike in many ways. Not saying I don't like Harley's. But just not the Pan American. Any way. Safe journey & enjoy the ranges Bro.

Hey mate, yeah definitely an amazing bit of country. Haha I heard they were real 😉🤣 yeah I do have a few things to say in the next vlog about it. I still really enjoyed it and would own one but would be good if harley changed a few things. Yeah i agree, but in saying that I think it's more of an all rounder like a GS or Tenere etc. Them ktms are king of offroad haha and you get alot more bang for your buck. I hope harley lisen to people and make the changes. I guess they haven't been in the ADV game long haha. (I'll cut them some slack)

So you just paid for camping at the store across from the tavern. I got told you have to do it online but paying at the store is a much better idea. I’ve been up there a few times and yeah it’s picture of a place to ride through.
Yeah we just got it in the store there, they had to make us an account or something so they could book it. I prefer paying in person too mate. Online bookings do my head in !!!

@Gnarly_Harley thanks for the reply. Good to know. I ride an indian chieftain but I'm looking to add an adv bike to my holding. The jury is still out as to what to buy. Got a few mate with Pans but it's not a bike I like the look of. Hope you get your bike back on the road soon.
@scottrubie6826 oh nice ! I went to the launch of the new dealer on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday. They look great. Yeah that's understandable, I think because harley is new to ADV they haven't nailed it yet and could be better. Still an amazing bike though.
Oh my bikes not off the road at the moment I was just given this to ride for 2 weeks from right2drive
@Gnarly_Harley yeah I was going to go up to the opening but the weather (boondall) heading to Sunny Coast did t look good. Yeah I just sold my 2018 iron1200 so looking for a little diversity in the garage. Oh cool my mistake I thought your bike was off the road. All good man. Stay safe out there with the crazy cagers out there.
How compy is the seat? I like how it collapses to nothing
I found it really comfortable mate, I sat in it for a good couple hours and felt sweet as afterwards. Bloody awesome compact thing
