Thanks for the awesome videos!
I installed a 12 in light bar on mines on the hight beam just conected both connection together with same color wires onto the light and it has worked good for me i had to do some custom mounts to fit the original holes
Great review! covers a lot. I really liked the comparison test!! keep it up Noach (;
hahah that's like exactly the same light I think
+TrailBlogger check the link he posted in the description for the eBay page he bought from
Looks awesome.
awesome review!! I thought the green tail light really looks sweet too. thumbs up
thank you, I took the green underglow off for now but might put it back again if we go to the dunes. I wanted as much power as I could to be available for the 12" bar.
That lightbar is stupid bright. But to me, one of the best looking things on a banshee is the round headlights haha. I wanna purchase a duncan bumper and wanna try to mount a lightbar into it. Awesome video man!
agree I went back to the round style but LEDs
Got a 9in last week and used your coupon code. Coming in wednesday, really exited to mount it on my 400ex, especially because the headlights aren't exactly good lol
right on man glad you were able to use the code and save a little on it. They are good lights, I have not had one stop working on me yet and I use them on everything from the ATVs, my truck, trailer, and Twinkles horse trailer.
lol! Funny had the same Video idea's. Great video man! How to you run your lights?Did you install some sort of Condenser or Battery, these LED Light Bar's are becoming very popular and such a good Idea who ever invented them is amazing. If not I would get you a Condenser from a 05 trx 450R or something to install inline with the Light Bar to make the lights flicker less and it also saves your Regulator and makes it last longer less stress on it. Your reviews are so good man. Keep it up.
I am running the stock Banshee 12 volt regulator and stator. It did fine with two of the smaller 4" LEDs all last year with no issues so trying this larger bar now. That is crazy we did almost the same video.
TrailBlogger Nice! Glad to hear it's all good. And haha That's for sure, pretty damn cool though!
+TRX Vlogger hey whats up man didnt expect you here
Do you have a install video of the 12" light bar ?
How does the dual stock looking lights fit is it the same?
What’s the green lights you have in the back at 0:52 and where did you get them? Also I love the banshee and your videos
And what did you hook/wire it to. Did it power it ok. And do you just have the stock Stator
I run the stock stator but doing a DC conversion is the best way to go
where did you get that bracket to fit the 12" bar
I made it. It's just some scrap metal rod and a couple of tabs from the hardware store.
Hey man i have been concern about how do you install a 12" light bar
Do you connect directly to the stator ? We all know on the shee the light dims into you give throttle.
Im tryna figure a why to wire the 12' led bar for constant lighting
Do the DC conversion if you are worried. I run it straight off the headlight hookup and capped the other side. Make sure your regulator is hooked up correctly or you will fry it
is it possible put the 2x4 and 12in cree light bar all toghther?
I did on my Raptor but not sure I would on the banshee without upgrading the stator or you could overload it.
I do know one guy from australia who is running that setup though 2x4 and 1x12 and he has not had any problems yet.
Do the 2x4 mount to the stock mounts
Not without making a bracket for them. its pretty easy if you have a vise and an angle grinder.
Did u go straight in to the headlight wires on the 2x4?
dodge owner93 yes. Capped green wire. Used stock ground and high beam power feed
could you put these on a blaster for high beams and have the regular for low beams
I am not sure sorry, I have never worked on a Blaster. I would find out how many watts your stator puts out and just try and stay under that amount.
Will French yes If you buy an adapter switch my 52' and 36' in bars have the switch I can turn the light from normal to low to a strobe feature. hope it answers your question
My brother and I just finished putting a 4 in light pod/bar on his blaster. What we did was take the voltage regulator(it was broke anyways) and take the (on ours) blue wire which is the power wire and connect that to a switch (u may-be able to use the Hi-low beam switch but it was easier to just put a different switch on the blaster) Then connect that to the power on the light bar then ground it and BOOM u have a light. Please note that we removed the headlight because A: it sucked anyways B: the voltage regulator was broke so it did not work. and C: we were putting the light pod there so it was in the way. I any planning on making a video on it within the next few days.
The light pod we used

Hope this helps!
Also do this at your own risk. It has worked for us (so far) and I hope it works for you. I would not good much bigger on the light bar because you don't want to draw too much power. Otherwise u may burn something up :)
So its been almost 4 years. Did the light bar hold up on the stock setup?
Yes but DC conversion is optimal
Yes but DC conversion is optimal
So you don't need a battery to run the 4in led bars?
@@judasvasquez1297 No you don't need a battery. I have a buddy who uses the 12in light bar with the stock stator and so far its held up. LED lights only use two wires Red/Black so there is no low/high beam just on or off. Using a battery though will remove any dimming at low RPM's and run for a short time with the motor off.
I myself do NOT recommend the DC conversion to charge a battery for lighting on the Banshee. I burned up 2 stators, a regulator/rectifier, 3 battery packs and damaged my harness. I purchased the JL engineering kit and had terrible luck. They were great about replacing the burned up parts under warranty but for what ever reason it just didn't work out for me. To add to that and so no one thinks I'm a hack mechanic, I was using a brand new harness, new stators with factory floated grounds, new regulator/rectifier, new battery packs and a brand new light bar. I had a solid ground from the frame to the motor but the system kept getting to hot. After cutting my losses and spending another $1000 in OEM electrical components I ended up buying a 6IN light bar with a simple on/off switch harness that plugs into a small Li-Po battery pack. This setup will run for a little over 2 hours and is completely independent of your quads electrical system. If you need longer run time you simply throw an extra battery in your backpack and that's it! Check out Task Racing and talk to Mark the owner if you need help.
checkout south texas banshee i think he has a kit for it now. that being said im still running stock stator with no battery. i dont do long night rides but no issues yet.
Hi is their a video off the wiring diagram ? do u need to change the stator for more light power?
I have heard it is recommended to do the DC conversion but the stock stator seems sufficient enough to power the 72 watt bar. mod your banshee at your own risk but yes I am running the stock stator and electronics. The wiring is simple. For the 12" bar you just cap all 3 wires separately on one side, then cap the green low beam wire on the other side. The light bar red wire (positive +) connects to the yellow high beam wire on the Banshee and the light bar black wire (negative) connects to the black wire on the Banshee. Basically you wire the red wire and black wire on the bar into the yellow wire and black wire on the banshee and cap the other wires off separately (all 3 on one side and the green low beam on the other side). Again, mod at your own risk. don't blame me if you burn up your banshee :-)
@@trailblogger Why is the green wire used at all? I was under the impression you only need the headlight leads from one side of the harness and would use red to yellow and black to black.
@@350iroc9 correct. unless you want the light to come on for both high and low beams. "wire the red wire and black wire on the bar into the yellow wire and black wire on the banshee and cap the other wires off separately (all 3 on one side and the green low beam on the other side)"
During the summer I dont needs lights for about 4 solid months.
that is kind of hard to fathom for a guy who has always lived in california where the sun usually tends to rise and set once each day
TrailBlogger lol I bet it is. It never gets dark during summer. Its a blast considering you can screw around all day and night and you never get tired, thats the worst part sometimes you just want to sleep and its nearly impossible.
Did you float the stator?
Not yet but it is best to do the DC conversion it if you want the most power for your lights. They will flicker a bit without it
TrailBlogger i want them how you have them I’m just asking because a guy told me I have to do that if I want led pods. So I should be good if I just wire them normal?
what do u use for underglow, u should also do a vid on thag
that*
the underglows are just LED strips that came from Autozone but I have taken them off now to free up power for the 12" light bar.
Oh ok
here is a link to some on amazon that look a lot like the ones I used www.amazon.com/Partsam-Lights-Interior-Lighting-15-3528-SMD/dp/B011KNKJ3S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1468516034&sr=8-3&keywords=automotive+led+light+strip+12%22
Did you use a dc converter?
McNut no. Stock stator
Do you have this wired into your stator or have battery for it? I installed the 2x4 on my banshee and they burned out on me pretty quick both at the same time. Had them hooked up to the stock wiring into the stator.
usually that mean's your factory voltage regulator is not regulating current. could be rusted at the ground or have you ever painted the frame? could be not hooked up correctly or just failing. did it have working factory lights before you did the swap?
I actually got the frame powdered coated and haven't ran any kind of lights in it since. I did have stocks on before I powered coated it and they ran fine. How do I check the regulator? Or what's the voltage suppose to be coming out the wires?
it regulates to 12 volts I believe. the regulator needs a good connection to the frame or it will burn up lights.
TrailBlogger
Thanks I'm going to look into it this weekend I'm sure it's not grounded thanks for the help. Love the videos by the way man
I did the exact same thing when I painted my frame, that's what made me suspect you did the same. Some 12 volt regulators actually have a wire for the ground instead of using the body of the regulator...
haha i’m watching this video 1 year later, but do you think they 12” light bar will work on a yamaha blaster regularly or will i need to add something else ??
Do u have a video on making the mounts
no sorry I don't have a video about how I built the mount
if you write me on facebook I can send some pics facebook.com/atvtrailblogger
Wut?!!? 2 seconds ago?!?

+Dennis Berglund lol
Why does it seem like you're reading a script that you never practiced on the entire video? LOL
I didn't have a script, just made it up as I went along. Thanks for watching
Alright and love your riding videos!!
Bass Boost EXTREME thank you! I will work on my narrations a little more lol
