- One day I'm going to think of an actual name for this series, that day however isn't today.
Let's talk all about Time Skips, that moment where the story skips ahead and
the world completely changes... or maybe not at all? We'll be going over ones that appear not only in the middle, but also in the introduction and ending.

See you next time! - Hry
FE4 will always be to me the gold standard of a great timeskip
Genealogy of the Holy War has always been something on my bucket list. If I went through that and Thracia 776 I'd have finally completed the series.
Keep it up Bro, your channel should be so much bigger!
thanks
Always liked your videos, so nice to see an upload. Got some nice advice from your video of learning how to read Japanese through VN video.
Good to hear
not a favourite per say but A Wonderful Life does a timeskip at the end of each year, time passing as you, your spouse, and child get older as time goes. Even your character model gradually gets grey hair. The village changes, with characters moving away, getting older, one old woman dies. Life goes on until eventually you pass on too
not a video game but one of the worst timeskips I've seen recently is Devil is a Part-Timer
Truth be told, I haven't been much into Harvest Moon since they became Story of Seasons, and I discovered Rune Factory instead. I did play a couple of them though, and Mineral Town still remains an old favorite.
Wish more games did timeskips going through a single character's life or different generations of a family. I think that is why Agarest is one of my favorites and I wish they would make a spiritual successor to the series and expand on the generation concept. Also why I spent over 100 USD on a DS cart of Dragon Quest V after someone reccommended it to me because I wanted that in a JRPG.
Heard Breath of Fire 3 had a fantastic one, was personally planning on trying that sometime in the future since I only ever went through 2 and 5.
My favorite example of a time skip in a video game is probably Zelda Ocarina of Time. I still remember the feeling of shock and horror as I came out of the Temple of Time and saw that the world had gone to hell and the main city was infested by the most terrifying monster in the game (ReDead)
Oh a great one, although I was unsure whether it would be more of a time travel element instead, which is a future idea for sure. When I was really young, I was so scared of ReDeads I tried not to look at the screen when they appeared.
Phantasy Star 3 has multiple big time skips >_
I still need to get around to playing the 4 original Phantasy Star games, but probably not anytime soon.
@@Zyraizo - i got a lot of nostalgia for them from childhood, but even with that i can see they kinda sucked so it's not really worth playing them xD
