"Riviera is a pretty happy-go-lucky JRPG." Riviera is set during apocalypse where your former comrade tries to murder you while you and your anime waifus attempt to stop an extinction event. So yeah, pretty light by JRPG standards, I guess.

It certainly is a pretty niche series, even if they miraculously got switch ports out of absolutely nowhere.
its a very underrated series back in my gba days no one around me was interested with riviera or yggdra union...everyone prefers to play pokemon instead
@@exoz6771 pokemon was pretty lit (to me) at this time. But I was a weirdo and always carried my psp and ds with me 🤣
With how they recently announced that Riviera is getting a remaster.... I'm now going full copium mode that Sting will finally give us the other unreleased games in the series.

Didn't know it expanded past Riviera (In terms of thematic energy). Thanks for shedding light on this and giving me a reason to bust out the psp later next year. I'm definitely going to delve back into this. Especially with Reviera getting a new remaster.
