I was once being brought up and encouraged to become a Christian preacher, in North Carolina. I was a seeker. Before I could commit myself to this path, I decided I needed to understand where Judaism came from. This lead me to a fateful day in the library where I found a book detailing Zoroastrianism and the influence on early Judaism, including the notions mentioned here. My entire life changed in that moment and I haven't been the same sense. I'm still a seeker, I suppose we all are, and I still believe in the same God that I sensed without words as a child.

My love has always been wisdom and i appreciate all sources of wisdom. Walking into the kazoo bookstore in Pasadena, ca. on fair oaks and Colorado in late 1968, i soon saw a large poster above the entrance with meher baba proclaiming that to love one another is to love baba. Avatar baba was born in west India of Iranian and Zoroastrian parentage.
The second source that allowed me to very gradually substitute high end spirituality for the outer aspects of Christian dogma can be seen on the front of the sgt pepper album of 1967-paramahansa yogananda and his 3 predecessor gurus. These top 2 sources of spiritual wisdom/philosophy are heart motivating, while my 3-5 supplement sources are an amazing intellectual supplement.

Ahura Mazda took the position of Apam Napat, who, in the Avesta, is said to have created man kind. Nepot is also the root of Neptune. So basically originally Poseidon and Prometheus were one deity. We can see them split in the Vedas as Varuna and Agni where they are in multiple occasions said to be different forms of one deity. Apam Napat is also referred to as Ahura Borz in the Avesta. There is actually a good essay online I think on Encyclopedia Iranica about Ahura Mazda usurping Apam Napat. Basically they renamed Apam Napat to get rid of the Deva connection cause Varuna is referred to both as asura and deva in the Vedas. This is also why we see Mithra paired w Ahura Mazda because Varuna was almost always paired with Mitra as Varuna-Mitra. They basically mad Mitra subservient to Mazda cause they couldn’t get rid of the Mithra worship in Iran. They must of figured he was paired with Varuna who was literally King of the Asuras in the Vedas, so fuck it, why not? Lol. This is also why we see the importance of water In Christianity. Varuna was god of water especially with the watery abyss that lay in the earth. Christianity basically contrasted the fire worship of Zoroastrianism but really they are all worshipping just two different forms of the same deity. This is definitely no coincidence we see this water/fire deity in Sumeria as the god EA. Think about it. EA is also god of sperm which is referred to as FIRE or the male essence. He’s also a water deity which signifies the female essence. The Star of David is literally the joining of the fire triangle with the upside down water triangle.

From the esoteric tradition the water(the semen) is associated with fire (the spiritual fire: kundalini, fire of the holy spirit). These two elements go hand in hand. That’s why it’s not surprising to see them associated with each other. Baptism is an alchemical practice by which we turn the sexual energies into fire to gain direct spiritual knowledge through direct perception. That is a fundamental step in the pursuit ofGnosis. To know the realities of the spirit we have to work with those two elements so that we can gain access to the higher states of consciousness.

@@k1_w3 cause they twist the word, make the bible into a piece of babylonian astrology which it is not. Jesus Christ is not the sun of God, he is the SON of God! But they turn scripture into sun worship, which fundamental christianity opposes completely! The sun or any planet is not to be worshipped, also not nature. We are called to worship God, the creator of it all! What this channel does is the work of the devil. Serpents, and scorpions. God gave me authority to trample on serpents! The devil did not only convince the whole world he doesn't exist (atheism), but even takes scripture and uses it in his own favor of himself, fooling people, leading them astray. Jesus Christ won the war already on he cross. Only fools think they win this race, they're up to something new, a golden age or something.. but pride comes before the fall. Fallen is Babylon. But before the second coming of Jesus Christ, they will get their shot and rebuild back the tower of Babel, which we see now going on... one world, one language ... getting closer to the day that God comes and scatters the people again, as in the days of Noah!

Bro, a lot of it is speculation.
He picks up theories he likes and makes up his own history upon it.
The example is his whole rhetoric that
" Zoroastrianism cannot be considered as an unchallenged, indisputable religion of Iran. If anything, that title goes to Mithraism"
      - Jason reza Jorjani, Iranian Leviathan.
But based on available evidence, that assertion is way off.
First of all, Mithraism is very obscure and very few people know about Mithraic systems to be considered the main religion of Iran unlike Zoroastrianism which is very detailed and comprehensive.
Secondly, he himself claims that he doesn't know much about Mithraism like he does about Zoroastrianism, but for some reason he claims that Zoroastrianism didn't shape Iranian "narod" like Mithraism does. How does he know that?? Well, he said that he doesn't!! Work that out.
Thirdly, even if he is right about this, Mithraism is a cult, not a religion. A religion has formality like Zoroastrianism which has rituals like yasna, and texts like the various avestas. Zoroastrian structure had influenced Judaism and also Christianity which he attributes to Mithraism. There are various cults followed across the world, they don't become state religions for a reason. They are very direct and are mainly indigenous to a particular community or group for some specific purpose. Not representative of a diverse group.
And that whole thing about Buddha being an Iranian philosopher named Gaumata who traveled to India for exile under fear of persecution by Darius ( or some Persian emperor) is laughable. He questions the Pali texts, but provides zero evidence for this theory of his. Nothing in the Sutras or the Pali texts mentions this. Buddhist culture and schools of thought are totally different from Mithraism or Zoroastrianism altogether. Nothing similar.
The thing is, you Western Europeans actually don't have a great knowledge about India and Iran and your whole understanding of it is Indo-European theory or Aryan invasion written by european orientalists in british India and all. That's why he hits you guys differently.
We can see the flaws in his work. In fact in one of his interviews, he confessed that he had a motive to create a Indo-European route of culture or something.

in history as everyone else. I could only resolve the conflict by assuming there were multiple Zoroaster incarnations
just as the Egyptians credited the "thrice great Toth/Hermes" with perhaps 3 incarnations under the same name.

I COMPLETELY want to have a conversation with this man about Zurvanism! I would have been happy to hear anyone's thoughts on the subject, but to know there is someone out there with this level of expertise and comprehensible speech, blows my mind!
if someone wanted to offer a few pennies for my thoughts on the subject, I would draw parallels between Zurvan, Phanes, and Ouranos. Even within the medieval notion of the heavenly spheres having ruling spirits, often tied to angels, or demons, has roots in the teachings of the magi.

I was absolutely devastated! I had the hardest time all day trying not to cry and pay attention to school, nobody would have understood why I cared, or I would have been punished as a devil child because I grew up in the Bible Belt. Yeah. Like a weird Frankenstein kind of story. I wish the Judeo-Christian tradition could have taken the Persian influence more in the direction of wisdom literature, instead of end times eschatology and monotheism on crack, with added omnipotence, omniscience and omni-"benevolence," as defined by "might makes right." So much good to pick up, but they took a few ideas out of context and went insane with them. We're all still suffering for it.
Gotta admit, though: I would not be comfortable leaving kids to play with a guy who wanted to execute anyone who fought for democracy.
(I also think talking about Jews in the first banking system is something to be extremely careful about. One has to keep in mind historical context since then. The Nazi propaganda about Jews is still circulating today. Not saying he shouldn't have mentioned it, but I think it could be done more sensitively to that context, with some pretty big disclaimers about "unfortunate implications.")
