    I really like the addition of the voice over! Please keep doing demonstrations like this. It is very helpful.

    With the voice over I finally understand what is going on. I get it has to be tedious job to make the videos this way but it really helps. Thanks.

    Amazing. These simple features sold me on this add-on. Bought this along with hardops and boxcutter. I gave up trying to learn Blender by myself so many times due to it's complexity, but these tools are a game changer. I really appreciate what you've done. I like how Blender is free but at the same time, if it had a paid version with these sort of tools embed by default I reckon a lot more beginners wouldn't give up.

    Love it, looking into Blender 2.8 modeling tools/ addons right now (Modo professional), am impressed. Needs to really be optimized for pen tablet usage though, maybe with additional gizmos to control bevel width ect?

      Take your time dude, the addon is awesome, and these new video docs are pretty neat!

    Finally got around to purchasing your amazing add-on. The only thing I'd love to see would be support for adjusting operations (like adjusting loops with fuse) without using mouse wheel. I'm plagued by a buggy scroll wheel on my G403 mouse (very common issue) and I often have to scroll back and forth to get the right result. If you could adjust this with plus/minus or page up/down like vanilla blender or Hops it would be great. Thinking about it, maybe I can just configure that in preferences but it would be handy if it was built in.

    Thanks for the tuto. For reason unknown to me, the shortcuts don't seem to work on my PC, (R/T, etc) though I can work things out by using the F6 menu

    Is there a way we can use this blend file? In the prev version there was a tutorial.blend file in the menu.

    Good job man. But I never ask you do you program full time?

    • @MACHIN3
      @MACHIN3  Před 6 lety +6

      Ever since creating DECALmachine(18months ago), I basically did nothing but coding yes. I didn't plan for this, and I'm doing everything in my power to get the MM update out(only documentation missing) and then port MM and DM for 2.8.
      Then I hope, I can finally go back to doing art. Hopefully at least 1/2 of my time. I like python, a lot, but it was supposed to be a means to an end, to help my art workflow, not become the only thing I do.
      Also, creating written and video docs, takes a lot of time and it's not particularly fun either. That also, was not planned.

    • @Penfinity
      @Penfinity Před 6 lety +3

      Yeah I toddly understand that's why I forced myself to stay away from it because I know how deep the rabbit holes can be. I wish we have a full cad addons in blender it will make life so much easier. I can't even imagine how much work you put on this so let alone creating a cad part. Good job man it is really amazing and you keep the ui clean I love that.

    • @MACHIN3
      @MACHIN3  Před 6 lety

      You should still do python. It's gonna liberate you, in and outside of blender :) Thanks mate!

    What about all of the ngons that get created on the surfaces connected to the beveled surface with all of the extra geometry that got added to it?

  • @adamszalai2673
    @adamszalai2673 Před 2 lety

    is there a difference if i creating bevels with 1 segment, instead of chamber. i mean is the slope angle matters during the fuse?

    • @MACHIN3
      @MACHIN3  Před 2 lety +1

      Blender's bevels with 1 Segment are chamfers. I just prefer counting the edges, making a chamfer have 0 "segments", which makes more sense to me.

    does anybody know in the minute 8:00 how he connected those vertices to the edge? just asking for a friend

    • @MACHIN3
      @MACHIN3  Před 5 měsíci

      These are connected using the Knife tool. I invoke it via the 2 keymap of Smart Edge (in vert mode with no selection). Back then you could press E to start the next cut while the tool is still active, these days you do it with RMB.

    Do we get free updates after buying, I really want to buy it but want to know if I still have support for it if 2.x or 3.0, etc. ever hits.

    • @MACHIN3
      @MACHIN3  Před 3 lety

      I mean I can't look into the future and can't work for free either, but I can tell you that the very next update will be free for existing customers.

    • @polymix2971
      @polymix2971 Před 3 lety

      @@MACHIN3 Of course, I can respect that. Its just Blenders versioning is moving a lot faster now with 2.90 in the pipes already etc.

    • @MACHIN3
      @MACHIN3  Před 3 lety +2

      @@polymix2971 You don't have to worry about that. When I talk about updates, I mean new features, not just compatibility with recent Blender versions.
      edit: And I just realized you were talking about Blender vesrions, not MM versions :) Blender 3.0 still sounds so foreign, ha.
