What's worse is that she wasn't a teacher. She was just a parent volunteer. And then it's more aggravating that nothing was said to the students; just Lorelai.
What's unbelievable is that such an important discussion for young adults is being swept under the rug. Why not just tell them to have unprotected sex behind the bleachers instead?? That's the only way that'd be faster than what happened in that scene here. Kids SHOULD be taught about healthy relationships, as well as the ones that didn't go as planned. Now I see why this show was so important, and still is. It brings up an important point...why THE FUCK aren't we talking about this????

I hate how every time sookie finds out she’s pregnant she never takes a test only figures it out
Why it happens for both my pregnancies I knew I was pregnant before taking the tests sometimes a s a woman you just know
I have known some people that has done that just know I mean a lot of people can figure they might be because of little things a test just might conferm it sorry I have a learning disability so some of that I can't spell that right
I mean we take the test cuz we think we could be pregnant so its really not that odd.
She did eventually go to the doctors to confirm. I knew I was pregnant before I took a test at the doctor.
I knew nearly right away...actually my spouse did and it took another three weeks to convince me to take a test because I wouldn’t until I’d missed my period.
My best friend called me Lorelai once when I was talking to much and I said "You watch that show too?" And he goes "No. Stop accusing me of things!"
Same here, best friend, 5th time around the show, said I was a freak, that day he slept in the dog house. (We was having a sleepover)

I absolutely love this comment. Best part is I don't know either of you or what you look like and yet I saw this happen in my head as I read this. Granted it was like slenderman figures with disembodied voices since of course slenderman has no mouth. Nevertheless I freaking saw this and heard this interaction and I need you both to be my bestest friends. Lol

@@yarencevher9452 I am yet to see a US Tv show where any character gets an abortion. As if it does not exist...at best they walk out of abortion clinic changing their mind...even little kids.

I loved how Rory was there for Lane during her pregnancy.
Sookie got pregnant 3 times, Lane got pregnant 1 time with twins, rory got pregnant at the end of the very last season, Lorelai got pregnant at 16, Sherry got pregnant then abandod her baby, then went to Paris, Paris had 2 at the revival. Did I leave anyone out?

I kind of wanted to see Mrs. Kim as a grandma. In my experience, the strictest parents become the most easy-going, doting grandparents. My grandparents were God-fearing bible-thumpers that believed in "spare the rod, spoil the child"; my mom, aunts and uncles saw them turn into peace-and-love *hippies* when we came along. :-)
Yeah, because they get weak, lonely and dependant and can't have controle over you anymore. That's why they get "soft". Otherwise they would keep the terror going!
Cause they know it is not their job to raise the grandkids but the parents job
@@blaueblume22 What a lot of grandparents seem to miss is that part of their job was training their kids to be good parents. All Lorelai learned was “Don’t be like Emily and Richard.” I’ve seen that strategy in action, and it’s got gaping holes in it.
Too bad we will never see rory pregnant.

I’ve said this elsewhere, but even as someone who thought that Lorelai and Luke belonged together, I knew that she’d have to date Christopher at some point during the show’s run. That possibility simply had to be explored.
I wish they’d had a proper, lengthy relationship earlier on. In seasons 2-3 perhaps subject to David Sutcliffe’s availability, rather than a completely rushed, ‘soulless’ relationship that was clearly doomed from the start in season 7. Breaking up Lorelai and Luke for this felt like a waste.
Right. I feel like the Lorelei and Chris storyline was very rushed and it was hard to get attached to “them” as viewers. It was just a total flop for the writers and even as a kid I realized that. We watched her and Luke build up, be together, break up, over a long period of time. I feel like they could’ve made her and Chris’s relationship more... meaningful? Idk, it’s actually kinda disappointing when I think ab it lol
i got so pissed at that scene where the students kept asking lorelai personal questions and then the teacher gets angry with lorelai instead of disciplining the students who kept asking those questions
I just want to say I never really cared for Logan and Rory together. Jess was, and will always be the best for Rory in my mind. When Rory and Jess broke up it was a good thing at the time because Jess needed to grow up a little. And he did grow up. When Rory was having her downward spiral Logan didn’t help her and was frankly making it worse. Then Jess swoops back in, has ONE conversation with Rory, and she turns her life AROUND and gets back on track to her goal. Rory and Jess forever❤️. What do you guys think?
Saaaame I think Rory and Jess are good for each other but timing was just wrong later episodes like you mentioned and the year in a life they really pushed each other towards their goals.
I completely agree!! You put it into words lol. I always loved Jess and wished they ended up together. Especially after he matured. I never really liked Logan either, even when he had his nice moments their relationship didn't feel as deep and he stayed rather arrogant. I haven't watched a year in the life so I'm not sure how it ended. But yes, Rory & Jess forever

Yes, she played Ramona Newitski who as a grad student pestered Sheldon until he completed some work and then she tried to get him to share credit. He threw her out. a long time later she returned as Ph.D. and tried to seduce Sheldon away from Amy. When she kissed him he had an epiphany that Amy was the only woman he wanted to kiss so he got on a plane, went to Princeton where Amy was doing some work, and proposed.
I still cannot figure out how did Lorelai figure out Sookie was pregnant that first time, it just came out of nowhere
Melanie Foster Martell she realised the reason sookie’s cooking was off was because she was pregnant and that can affect your tastebuds
When mothers are pregnant, the're taste buds get thrown off, and Sookie (beimg an amazing chef and all, and having a bug the week before) Lorelai just knew
She was not tasting the food right her test buds where off and yes that's something that can happen when your pregnant
it can effect your taste buds and she said she had a "bug" but it was morning sickness plus she got really overwhelmed by that tiny incident very easily.
because when you are pregnant in can affect your taste buds and that is why Sookie messed up the food
I just realized that the student that said "didn't you got pregnant at 16?" To loreli is rory's friend in season 6 (she is the girl that didn't ate at the restaurant with Logan and their friends cause she didn't want to get fat)

There was 4 different pregnancies here. 2 different ones of Suki’s, Lane’s pregnancy, and the last scene with Sherry’s. It was 3 different women but 4 different pregnancies.

Here’s a thought he could’ve I don’t know stayed with Lorelei? Being with his girlfriend and daughter wouldn’t have stopped him from being there for his baby
Alyssa Martinez but that would've screwed with the whole Christopher sucks/Luke is the one for Lorelai story.
His point was him and Lorelei weren't together so it was somehow am excuse for him to be a deadbeat father and never be around for Rory. He was afraid that if he didn't stay with her than he would be a bad father again and not see this child either.
Chris always wanted to do the right thing, which is why he would've married Lorelai

I was so disappointed with the direction that Lane's life took after. . .well, the first season. I understand that they lost the actor who played Dave to another show, and Zack was sweet and everything, but her story just seemed to meander. I kind of wish that they had kept her story focused on her relationships with her mother and music, and written her finding more success, even if it did take her away from Stars Hallow. She didn't even get to be pregnant from GOOD sex, the poor girl. . .

There are so many things in this show that are absurdist and ridiculous
What annoys me is all of the surprise pregnancies that screw up people's lives and how they are always girls. The pregnancies that result in a boy are fine (couples in committed relationships) but almost all the girl ones either cause breakups, angst in relationships or some other drama. Fine, I get the premise of the show was that Lorelai getting pregnant with Rory at the age of 16 was the basis of their relationship, but GG and April were just beating a dead horse in my opinion...mostly April, since at the time Sherry called, they were together (if having a rough patch). April was purely to drive a wedge between Luke and Lorelai.
Rory would've aged out from needing attention, he could've still managed time with GiGi... Chris does not handle big news well
