Swan peak...?
In my opinion, GG reached its peak between the 2nd and the 3rd season not only because of Rory and Lorelai´s closeness and chemistry (after Rory went to Yale, we missed that intimacy) but also because Jess added a lot of dynamic to the show and his scenes with Luke were pure gold.
After Rory went to Yale and Loghan came in..show just became boring and cringeworthy..Seemed like Paris was the only actually trying to be good..Also the relationship with Luke and his daughter was also carrying the show on its back
@@tristan7844 Really? I thought April was so annoying. It was only a plot device to have Luke and Lorelai apart a bit longer.
@@mateoairaudo5535 she was funny socially awkward to me…but not top 10 characters material…but her relationship with Luke caught my attention..how luke tried his hardest to be a good father and their interactions

considering he tells someone else another story about it? i doubt it. i also doubt it was dean, beacuse he would have told rory when she asked. so to me the canon explenation was that he got beaten by a girl, or maybe had a box fall on him or something.

I honestly enjoyed Luke and Jess' interactions more than Jess and Rory's relationship

For real, they're the main reason why I obsessed over the show. It was okay until Jess showed up and his relationship with Luke made the show much more interesting.

They deserved their own show. Their interactions were the best, and Luke straight-up saved Jess's life... and Jess saved Luke's.

The way that Luke holds people’s heads when he hugs them is so sweet. He does it to Jess, Rory, and April. It’s so fatherly

When Jess Vents off about Luke about how he ruins everything, he was mostly talking about himself, he was talking about how messed up he felt and how hurt he felt by not feeling good enough, he just blamed Luke because he can't cope with looking at himself as a failure again, though in his mind he knows he messed up and it's all the guys own fault...He knows it's not Lukes, but he can't help but take it out on the person that seems to care about him the most. His pride always got in the way of him actually saying what he wanted to say...i honesty honestly don't believe he wanted to be the way he was, he just cared so much avout how he looked that he didn't know anything else. Even books make you look more attractive because ppl think you look intelligent, i think with Jess though is that the books ended up captivating him because he could not only relate but find an escape from a bunch of hurt he never thought he could, till he grabbed a book and looked to see others just like him in similar situations ir worse. It makes sense why he published his own book, stories and imagination helped him survive his own torment of how crappy his situatuons were.

Jesse is kind of like me in a way, mostly his attitude. I also almost didn't graduate high school both because I missed so many classes, was failing more then one class, and almost got expelled for a fight I got into when I was in the 12th grade. I got my grades up though because I didn't want to retake the 12th grade though. I had a lot of issues as a teen myself and I still do as a young adult.

Rory and Jess only become related by marriage. And you already said at the beginning that Luke and Jess are related.
If you wanna get complex, figure out how many half/step siblings and cousins Rory has.
Wongatello he has Gigi as a half sibling and April as a step sibling. Jess would I guess be considered a step cousin since he is Luke’s nephew.
Well Rory’s great grandparents were cousins...use that info as you wish

@@lauriecarson6483 Not true. Luke is Rori's stepfather. Liz is Luke's sister and has 2 kids in the show, Jess and the baby whose name I don't recall. This makes Jess and Rori cousins. Whether you want to split hairs over cousins by marriage or step cousins is up to you.
Still wondering how Jess actually got the black eye, since he told Rory a different story than the swan thing. Was he lying to Luke, or lying to Rory, or both?
