I would totally pick one of these up. I really like the size of them.
From 4:35-5:18 you talked about "a very big downside". Why? Just use the Voice command to change fan or temperature. It’s so easy and quickly done.
I honestly don't like to use voice control and I don't think I'm a minority. In my personal opinion, temperature control should always have manual buttons.
“Hey Google, change temp to 70 degrees.”
Also the latest OTA update provides range in the cluster.

Although I personally think requiring voice commands for anything besides dictating a text message is very dumb

You can buy one that’s a year old for about 35 to 45k if you look around and don’t mind driving a bit to get to the car
Euh. It's not a city car. Eventually you get a car with over 400 horsepower. The 2024 model has 442hp and does 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds. Try finding a brand new car that runs on gas with that room and those performances for 62k...

Since you reviewed it, Volvo has release OTA software updates - v2.9 brought the expected mile range and Apple Maps Nav to the driver display. It was an annoying absence but the update makes it much more useable. The best thing to do is to lease to get the $7,500 credit applied to purchase... then, if you're interested in buying, you can get it at the final lease value.

Volvo always has the best seats. A family member had a S70 T5 back in the day and the front seats were so comfy.
Overlooked items: Rare is the EV which offers an OPENING moonroof and a rear wiper and if you want a frunk, the XC40 Recharge might be the only one with all that. And the review presumes that because this is an EV, it's got a frunk. VW ID.4, Audi Q4, Mercedes EQB have no frunk, so don't assume that all EVs have them. It's exciting that the XC40 is getting much longer range and RWD as an option, for 2024. Bummer how layered the controls are though. Bring back knobs and buttons!

Yeah they're very much present in Belgium. Not only because of the factory is here but also because we have a lot of company cars and they all have to be electric nowadays.
at 2:17 to be fair the two other Volvo's are rocking Illinois FP plates, so those are fleet plates (likely rentals), not personal vehicles.

And 10 months later these can be bought used with less than 7K miles from Hertz for $33K.
It's nice but expensive.
I mean I wish at least a fan speed and temperature were physical with my volvo. Also this has a more matte paint under the hood like my v60.

Don't get your annoyance on the climat control .... you can use your voice commands since it's google based .. right :-) Don't see the issue ..
What was wrong with just regular buttons? I don’t want a voice operated vacuum cleaner either, a simple switch has worked for centuries
Only negative thing with this car is the springy, hard suspension imo

I own an XC40. It’s a piece of $#it. The only thing “luxury” about this car is the price. You can get a much better car by spending the same amount of money (or even less, actually) on a Mercedes Benz. Which I also used to own. Big downgrade to Volvo XC40

I wish Volvo had made a non-halo version of the Polestar 1. Put the S60's powertrain in it and it would have been great to sell at a normal retail price and production. Such a good-looking car, though it also kind of looks like a Dodge Charger coupe.
