Yeah that thing is beast!!! Great video!!! I levelled up the torps first. 9.2 range with 5.3 sea detection on my build. Gaede,Maas.. Awesome DD's!!!!

What does 5.3 sea detection means? Does it mean your ship detected at 5.3 km? and where do you look for that number? Thanks. I’m new to the game.
That torp kill on the Queen E was textbook man nice! I’ll have to try holding my second round of torps a little longer to see where they head I’m usually a little torp happy lol.
It depends on the situation. Sometimes it's better to get a really wide spread going, sometimes it pays to stagger them.
I've found that 5.7 detectability and below is the sweet spot for DDs. 5.8 and above and you're basically a light cruiser minus a chunk of HP.

Still have mine to grind, didn't realise how effective AP was (I don't have the AP Damage Commander) and normally i rely on HE, so thanks for the tip. Currently on the 125,000 Damage Mission in the Campaign (I had 150k in Iowa before but was before i needed it but always the way).
The German AP is solid regardless of commander if you're shooting it into broadsides
Tried it on Gaede and 60k in First Match, I did have a few Torp Hits and a Citadel. Was using AP on just Battleships.
Had 137k with Stock Maass other day (I used Lower Range/More Torps) but now guns and torps are upgraded so 10.5 km Range and 8.5 km Torpedoes with 6 km Detection Range (It was 8.8 km Range/8.7 km Torps during Stock Grind with Van Spee Commander).
Still looking for Sims, Bey, Hipper and Ottax, Only had 2 Germans and from a German Crate, i got a Duplicate.
Now on the 150k Damage Mission.
Great DD Captaining Tbull, Dueling with the IOWA and The Tirpitz was epic.
But we really need a vid about positioning and being in the game 🤕
Positioning to me is kind of something that is a case by case basis. I'll have to think about if there is something I can do a video on
There is no fix positioning.. Check teammates and opponents.... Hide and seek :) and shoot with destroyers dont be afraid. MAAS can burn every ship with couple of salvos (smoke than shoot)
Amazing gameplay, a thrill to watch. Maass is a no fear destroyer. Stealthy enough to torp without being detected, and if you stumble upon an enemy DD she is more than ready to rumble. Even USN destroyers best respect the prowess of the Maass.

I need Bey for a DD brawler build for both the Gaede and the Z23 because of the 150mil guns but at the cost of concealment do to the mortar perk because its more for objective oriented missions instead of stealthy torp hunting in which I'm building with Von Spee with the Maas and the V170 but I've got a vid in the works with Sheer on the T22 in which i landed around 8 to 9 torpedo hits but I'm hoping that they add the Z39 in the future for brawling use like the Kidd.
I'm sure it will show up sooner or later
I just got the tier 5 German DD but only in a few games..big step up from the tier 4...Loving the german cruisers
The Konigsberg is a Tier IV citadel monster
Sir Gay i have it and like it better than the nurberg. IMO it’s one of the best ships in game. I equip it to burn people to the ground 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I'm afraid to upgrade to 150mm. Not sure I hit enough first shots. Can it even be "downgraded" if I don't like the 150?
What upgrades did you put for the maass?
Is it better to kite away from enemy ships or turn toward them for some reason when kiting half of the life is gone possibly a citadel is it possible to citadel a ship that’s kiting?
Depends on the ship but it's very hard to hit citadels unless the ship is broadside, so in general if you're angling you ship towards the incoming shots that reduces the likelihood by quite a bit.
Destroyers are different; they don't have a citadel but they will take more damage from AP rounds of they are facing towards or away from the shot as opposed to being broadside. They have little armor and are small so AP rounds will go completely through then before the fuse arms when they are hit with AP in the side

I agree with you on the AP damage boost being a waste. It only increases your max hit damage and that only happens with citadel shots. If you don't get a citadel in a game you aren't even benefiting from it.
I'd have to double check when I get home, but I don't recall it ever saying it just affected damage when max damage was achieved. That would make it next to completely worthless
@@TbullGaming well it also increases over pens which are 10% the max hit but the increase is so little it's insignificant
Edit: basically my point is it isn't a fixed guaranteed increase in your damage output per game
Yes! I'm liking the German DD line. That flatter than USN firing arc is nice. Like you demonstrate, I find these to be excellent scout flankers. Just keep enemy ships out of the blue detection circle, and unload torpedoes. Currently in the Gaede, it feels a little sluggish/slow, but that may be due to no upgrades, and running Sheer as commander. Great vid, looking forward to Sunday's live stream.
Yeah the Gaede is great, I'm liking the Maass even more. Z-23 seems solid from what I've seen out there
So far, haven't seen any Legends Z-23 video's. Seen the ship a couple times in game. Good looking boat.

It's usually the case that you'll get the challenges done when you're just playing for fun. Focusing on them makes it harder. Keep plugging away, you'll get there
I do better if I never look at the 'scoreboard' while I am playing. It is hard not to keep looking at how much damage you've done. But for me, it adds pressure, distracts me, alters plans etc. I only have 7 krakens and 2 Solo Warrior but each one honestly came as total surprise. Because I was focused on the battle and had no idea how many I sank etc.
But good luck. Those challenges can be tough. I got a Kraken couple days ago while I was trying to get 6 citadels challenge. But I know I need to get another Kraken in the Admiral trial. Odds of me getting another Kraken so close to this one are practically nil. Especially with my limited skill.

Smoke up and use bingbong to kill Benson without losing half hp. or, after Nagato dies and RDF does not point to BB just 6.6km away, you know Aki is in range. Use bingbong to kill him from smoke. Wasted both opportunities cos you play it like its a Benson. Use smoke & bingbong together.
