Awesome lesson, Adam! I teach English to Brazilians, and I appreciate the way you teach. I'm currently teaching the structures "I would like..." and "I will have..." to be used in a restaurant setting, so this lesson will be a good addition to my explanation about the usage of "will" and "would" in the future, after they feel comfortable using those other structures. Ms Adam found that "Would" is not the past tense of "will." Instead, "would" is the conditional form of "will" .In English, "would" is often used to express unreal or hypothetical situations, even when referring to the future . Ex: "if only he would call" is the correct phrase for expressing a hypothetical or unreal situation in the present or future. furthermore, when we use "if only" to express a hypothetical or unreal situation, it's typically followed by "would" + verb, even when referring to the future.
