- My new engine is overheating and the engine fan doesn't come on to cool it down. So on this video we are going to make the necessary repairs to get it back in tip-top shape. We also talk about the fan clutch system and some typical things that go wrong with them. A common problem (the one I'm facing) is a thermal fan switch failure. Fortunately, these are only $55 and easy to replace. But you must know whether or not you have a normally open system or a normally closed system. I'll try to make it less confusing and give you a simple way to figure out what you got so you can get back on the road.
Keep making videos, love seeing the truck and you’re good with the camera! Keep it up
Thanks! Will do!
You need to stick with this YT thing. You have good content, the editing is solid and a great personality. Doesn’t hurt to have that COE eye candy either! Keep trucking.
Very kind. Thanks for the compliment. Means alot.
Thanks for putting this together simple to understand I am in the process of trying to figure this out as I have just lifted my cab back on after a restoration so I will have power to test
Yeah you'll be getting into for sure. Sounds like you have even bigger project. But I bet it'll be nice. Good luck.
Good video! Good info!
Thanks a bunch.
Name the truck ORWELL 🤪🤪🤪🤪👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hahaha. You’re trying to get me in trouble.
Hve you got a part number for the thermo sensor?
My fan is doing exactly the same. Works on the switch but not on its own !
Here's the same fan switch I got advancetruckpartsusa.com/products/993617-atp-thermal-fan-switch-190-deg. Depending on your setup you might want a different trigger temp. Hope you get it worked out!
@nedstephens cheers mate, mine used to come in at 191 so this should be the right part number.
Great videos btw. I like your 362. I'm just about to fit some 362 stack posts on my 352.
