  • The FlySky GT3C is a very old transmitter that probably doesn't need an introduction but there's a few things that haven't been discussed yet so I thought I'd throw out some of my thoughts after 5 months of use. This transmitter will allow you to reduce the throttle in case you want to let the younger ones use it w/o letting them access the full acceleration.
    FlySky's How-To video tutorial on how to use the different functions:
    • Video
    How to bind it with the receiver for your RC. This video is very thorough and easy to follow along. My go-to video tutorial for this:

    I have a love hate relationship with this radio lol. I always hit the duel rate button with my thumb and it drives me nuts. But I love the Lipo and it’s light.

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, the dual rate isn't really something that I find myself changing that often. Odd place to put something not well used in a place that's so "convenient".

    Can you get receiver with a gyro that will work for this transmitter?

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před 2 lety +1

      Supposedly the do. However when I installed it, it didn’t really work. I may have done something wrong but but there is definitely one that’s supposed to have a gyro. If a gyro is really important to you, you’ll want the dumbo rc one that has that function. Like the Flysky, there are various versions.

    Do you know if there is a way to clear a single model slot and settings as opposed to doing a full reset? Thank you

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před 5 měsíci

      You can just replace the settings with the new ones and you can rename.

    Could you tell me why every time I hook the battery up to the transmitter it blows? I have a speed control and hook everything up right. Is my 2 cell lipo battery to big for it?

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před rokem

      I don't recall what sized battery comes with the transmitter. Are you using an aftermarket one different from the one that's included?
      What do you mean by "it blows"?

    • @dunerinaz
      @dunerinaz Před 6 měsíci

      Yes, a 2 cell is double the voltage it's rated for. It uses a 1 cell lipo.

    Question.. I'm planning to get a radio for my first Sakura d5s ... will this be good enough for drifting?

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před 3 lety +2

      Totally. The downside I see are twofold. The range isn't great. DumboRC from what I understand is 10x better. The antenna on this one of the longer variety which is typical of this price range, but it does mean that range either sucks or it's going to look ugly sticking out. Neither of which you may care about. If you're drifting, you're driving close quarters, so you'll be fine.
      Just know though that at some tracks where not everyone is as friendly, you may get some smack talk for using a "cheap" radio. I personally don't care, but I can appreciate that not everyone can handle the smack talk from others.

      @@joejones3450 I love the adjustability of all the settings with this transmitter. I personally did not get very good range. However, I have never heard from anyone else with that issue, so it could just be me. Definitely for the price, it has amazing value. I have mine bound to 3 cars..

    Does the range suck due to it being on a 3.7 volts operating voltage ? whereas other transmitters operate 6 volts atleast. Just wondering

      Range is pretty good for me. Any further and I can’t quite see it. I have used this for FPV before and it worked out pretty well.

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před 4 měsíci

      Should be the same as the transmitter that came with your rc car; just push the trigger forward. Possible your esc is set to go forward only which is an option for some racing scenarios where going backwards is not permitted.

    Does this have AVC?

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před 2 lety +1

      AVC is a Spektrum term, active vehicle control. This transmitter supposedly offers something to the same effect if you get the correct receiver, but I was not able to get mine to work. For flawless ones (from what I've heard, but not experienced myself personally), you want the Dumbo RC version that has that feature.
