Anyone who doesnt live in a remote and rural area behind a large locked gate and/or doesnt have decent guard dogs should just get their packages delivered to some sort of lockbox or have all packages held at their local UPS/FedEx/DHL/USPS locations for pick up. Packages are usually only insured up to $100 USD and so if your items are worth more than that, dont risk leaving them on the porch for any period of time. Ppl getting more and more desperate out here

Once was downtown at a McDonald's after midnight, he asked my boyfriend to buy him a burger and he would wire us $500 the next morning. I can't believe he is still trying that same scam. I don’t know about other areas, but here there are a bunch of lockboxes for Amazon and there are fair number of delivery locations as well. So far, I’ve been very fortunate, but if it’s becomes the case where things start disappearing, I’m not going to leave packages here anymore. I usually have more of a problem with UPS leaving other peoples packages here. Last week I got a package with an address in a different state. I have no idea why it landed on my doorstep.
