The kids across the street from me toilet papered my bushes a few years ago, and they also tossed a dozen white eggs into my yard. They were so stupid that they didn't even throw the eggs hard, and they were all unbroken... and fresh. I only use eggs for some of my baking, so they basically gifted me enough fresh eggs to last me for a couple of months! Duh! LOL!

That’s why as soon as the delivery driver drops off my package or order I get it in the house so porch pirates can’t happen and I always make sure my doors are always lock
Same here, plus my front porch isn't totally open for people to see when I do get packages, which helps. But when packages are delivered while everyone is at work/school/whatever they should leave instructions on where to hide their stuff or ask a trusted friend/neighbor to grab them & bring them to their house so they won't get stolen. But, people are too ignorant & too trusting. If you live thinking that you shouldn't trust everyone, especially strangers, you're more likely to avoid break-ins, thefts, etc. Obviously, if someone wants to get into your house that badly, they're gonna find a way in. People just gotta stop making it so friggin easy for those scumbags!!!

However I also don't set at home all day waiting on parts to come in. 2023 or not I go to work. But when I am home and it say ou5 for delivery I don't set on the front porch waiting for hours till it gets there either.

You know packages are coming or have arrived and yet you leave them on the porch. If you are home, then get your stuff!! Then you whine when stuff gets stolen. Yes, we should be able to have stuff delivered without worry, but those days are OVER. Get a Post-Office Box or a locked box for packages. All of these folks were able to walk onto your property and take what they wanted. And stop leaving your bikes unsecured outside!

I don’t understand if these people are home why don’t they get their package before they’re stolen. I live in a safe neighborhood but I still stalk the delivery man for my package 😂😂. Not because it’ll get stolen but because I want my items. I don’t get it.

Oftentimes UPS, FedEx & the USPS fail to ring the doorbell or knock loudly enough (if at all)...I live in a small 2 bedroom house with front windows overlooking my full-size front porch & I've had packages delivered several times with absolutely no notification from my phone nor any knocking/ringing from the delivery person. Even my Cane Corso, who always barks to let me know someone is on the porch, hears absolutely nothing. I always look for my pkgs when I'm expecting something for that exact reason. If others just don't care enough to look/pay attention, that's on them.

People need to understand that if thieves, creeps, mentally ill, drugged out randos & unstable people see an easy opportunity to break in, you're eventually going to become a victim. It's ridiculous to assume that you can trust strangers (or even neighbors) enough to leave your doors open/unlocked anytime you're technically vulnerable (whether elderly, alone, asleep or somewhere in the house with no view of said doors) to having bad things happen. If you're not proactive about your own home's security/your safety, don't be surprised when you get targeted. Not everyone on Earth is a decent human being...not now & not ever. Obviously I don't want anyone to go through this kind of thing, but when people leave their doors open/unlocked without thinking it basically tells me that they're ignorant, lazy or stupid & they should know better than to trust everyone!!!
