Door bell news is the gold standard of all door camera videos.
Kudos to the guy who brought discarded package back. I was walking dogs by my house and saw a discarded package and thought man someone got ripped off. Later a neighbour came with same package and I realized that it had been my package that had been stolen and discarded. Some people really suck.
and the women (homeowner) didn't even open her door to say thanks and also took a footage of him and uploaded to youtube without his permission . that's telling you to just never ever do good to anyone in this world because of this women 5:06

I can understand the video being posted on CZcams w/o permission being an issue, but if you need someone to praise you for doing something good, you're doing good things for the wrong reasons.

It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I am not as freaked out about the porch pirates as I am about the mentally disturbed people and drug addicts roaming the streets at night attempting to gain access to homes. We need to get these people off the streets!
They closed all the mental institutions down so now in big cities the parks and sidewalks have become makeshift mental asylums run by the least craziest of the bunch, which obviously doesn't work .

Those criminals that jiggle doorknobs they're just opportunists. It's still dangerous for them and the homeowner. My twelve-year-old daughter and I were home one day when we suffered through a violent home invasion. I've since bought a stun gun. I've thought about getting a gun gun LOL I just keep putting it off.
As long as we keep creating and maintaining handout programs, these freaks will always be out there, and it will only get worse.

This is why my doors stay locked 24/7, regardless of time of day or night. Even my adult son (who has his own key) knows to lock the door behind him when he enters
I will never understand why anyone engages the creeps in conversation, especially when most of them are mentally ill, on drugs or drunk or all three, and are totally out of it. I would say nothing to them and just call the police. Let those creepy people get caught in the act. This works in most cases. There is nothing to be gained by trying to talk to them.

i concur except i would also add that in some circumstances escalation of force is permissible, lethal force in other situations. there is one on here where a guy breaks down someones door because he thinks his kid is in there. you cannot enter someone's home, regardless of the circumstances that individual would have been justified using deadly force. there are a few other examples as well.

i love how these ring theives think they can steal the cams to try and resell. but as long as the owner doesn't delete the cams off their account they cant be reused. and their face has already been recorded so its a lose lose result

It’s terrible. I find thieves to be so weird. Over the years at my condo there’s numerous times where the delivery person left someone else’s packages right at my door. And my first instinct without thought is to bring it to them. There was time when a package came and it didn’t even have an address, but I knew I didn’t order it. So I called the business’ customer service and gave them the barcode trying to find where it belonged. They said the customer already reported not delivered, and they thanked me so much and they were so surprised that I’d called at all.

I don't live in the US and I don't understand why the courier companies leave the packages outside. We get a call from the courier and if we are not home we set an appointment or we go to the courier office of our region and get it. Or we have safe deposit boxes. And we always sign that we collected our package.
Chaos is a necessity in the USA.
That's what I've been saying for months I don't live in America either but there is no way a courier company in Ireland or England would leave a package on the doorstep they would text the person to let them know when their package will arrive then they have to get a signature off the person and if the person is not at home the courier takes the package back to the depot and leaves a message for the person to come and pick it up or sends them a text telling them theres a package in the depot and to come and collect it or they will be charged ten dollors a day for storage
I’m sorry but I will be leaving your package outside because I literally cannot wait for someone to open the door and receive their package unless it is explicitly stated. I deliver for Amazon with 120-180 stops/day, we don’t have time for that and we usually don’t have time to come back without being behind on our deliveries. Amazon literally notifies you when your package is being delivered. Get your stuff delivered to a locker or an Amazon pick up counter that various businesses have.

Shamefully, I've stolen things but in my defense I was an ignorant child, but it's ridiculous how many adults are thieves and what's even more ridiculous is the ones whom drive expensive vehicles. I stopped stealing shortly after high school because I finally matured morally and now live by the age-old saying, "Treat others the way that you would like to be treated.". I also believe in Karma and to this day am still paying for my wrongs but it's a much better way of life, not negatively affecting other people's lives.

I don’t get why so many people leave expensive bikes just sitting outside the house. Either bring them inside or get a hut to store them in. Same with the packages. Get a drop box with a code that the delivery company can use to access and that way it safe. I’m in the UK and we have letter boxes that most items can go through, or we have gardens that delivery can put the items so there items sitting out is crazy to me. Obviously some houses in the UK do leave packages outside but that’s at there own risk. Drop boxes are really good option. Also if there are a few houses close by you could club together to get bigger ones to split the cost.
I cant wait for the day when someone tries to steal my packages or try to enter my home. I'm always locked, loaded, waiting, and ready! I also wonder why people have packages at their door in the middle of the night/very early morning🤔 and lastly, I wish people would learn how to spell. I feel very lucky to live in a town where I leave my back door open at night and can sleep soundly. Some of these instances are scary. I did find a man sitting on a chair on my front porch. He was lost and asked if I could call him a taxi. I offered him cab fare but he said he was ok so I brought him a cold drink while he waited.
