People who are so tired with so much on their minds that they forget to lock it. Sleep deprivation will have you forgetting to do a lot of things.
Once, I was getting ready to work a new shift I wasn’t, and never could, get used to; but I couldn’t find my keys. My employer had changed my night work shift of 15+ years to an early morning work shift that began when I would normally be going to sleep. The paranoia of not waking up to go to work on time and my inability to sleep when a person should for that shift… I was tired… all the damn time tired. Was about to give up and call for a ride. Went out to smoke… there’s my damn keys still in the door. I’m lucky nobody stole my damn car. Ended up calling in and going to sleep. At that point, I realized I shouldn’t even be driving.
So… you know… these things happen 🤷♂️
So.eone stole one of my packages, which was my RA medications, so I saved my chihuahuas pee pads for a few days and put them in a box, set them out,and let someone steal stagnated dog pee pads. 😳
Next time put there crap in a package

And crazy dangerous for all concerned. I train dogs and own a couple 150+ lb livestock guardians, and a 45 lb heeler who is faster and just as dedicated. It's usually kids (15 - 18) breaking in around here. Most adult burglars flee, but kids are completely unpredictable and almost 100% armed.

The ring doorbell is a Godsend! I can tell people to get lost from the comfort of my chair in the living room. Usually it's neighborhood bums wanting rides to the convenience store.
A alarm does not suck either.
Not to mention, it's lovely for all of us CZcamsrs, dying to get a good laugh at these ridiculous situations....
This is why protection is always at arms reach when we are home.

If you can use it to record a message, I would use it to record the sound of a racking a shotgun...I had some very good sound effects on some video editing software with sirens and Samuel Jackson saying his signature line...put them all together and set it to go off if anyone comes on your porch LOL!

Poor lady @16:30 he should’ve called someone for her. My mom suffers from dementia and I would hate to know that she stopped somewhere to get help and nobody helped her and then she got lost somewhere end up getting killed possibly hit by a car because of how she looks around wandering. it almost happened once when my mom took off walking up the street. So please people if you see an elderly person like this please call the cops and just let them know that somebody’s walking around wandering and they don’t know where they’re at. It would definitely help someone who has a parent like this especially someone like me.
I did learn something this time. Seems they follow the truck. TY. Will pass that on to the proper authority..

I keep seeing these $1000 bikes being stolen and, while it shouldn't happen (but it does), you'd think they'd have the extra funds for a lock/chain
we're all going to have to start taking better care of deliveries, pretty soon companies are going to refuse to replace stolen items, they can't do that forever and stay afloat. Either that or the stuff the rest of us buy will go up to cover losses We've got more chance of a replacement if we can say we took every precaution to save our delivery, like having a safe box. If we all wait for the companies to take action they'll just blanket refuse to replace stolen items. It's already started here, a guy got dog food rather than an iPhone, he only discovered it when he tried to call his wife and got an earful of lamb mince. The company, Amazon I think but don't quote me, refused a replacement phone, they said he had swapped the goods and kept the phone. It's time we all took responsibility, maybe get a carpenter to knock up a ply box with a keypad lock you can change the code on each delivery, better than paying for something expensive, not getting it and finding the supplier won't replace it.

@@zerofallen059 WTF I'm talking about is a report on BBC Radio 4, You and Yours programme where the supplier is refusing a refund on an iPhone that was taken and dog food left instead, and the company are saying he received the package with the iPhone in and is now trying to get a second iphone, not that anyone out there would dream of doing such a thing, would they!?! The guy is fighting them but this looks like the start of companies not just replacing a package when it doesn't turn up or goes missing but using the photo of the package at your premises as proof of delivery and flatly refusing to replace it if the driver leaves an empty box or a box with dog food in, or the package gets stolen after delivery. When that happens then we will all need to take more responsibility for our deliveries.
Demand that Amazon do just like in Europe, they don't leave the packages if there is no one to received, instead they leave a notice of delevery and people go to the wearhouse of the region to pickup the packages. They have as much wearhouses like the post office and in some places they have an agreement with the Post Office. I'm sure that if enough people demand that, they would change the delevery system.
The only thing I have to add, is be prepared if you want to protect yourself, and family. This republic is completely out of control!

Sometimes Men and women team up because having a female presence will make you feel more comfortable about a situation, and it gets your guard down, which is what they're aiming for. Luckily this woman didn't become a victim but please ffs don't do this again!

She opened it a smidge but she wasn't paying attention whatsoever, she moves away at one point & the door isn't locked. She's lucky the people weren't real aggressive or hadn't put much thought into what to do if someone came to the door. Otherwise we'd have been watching a home invasion going down in 60 seconds.

Ring camera is fine. Need a camera on corner of property recording the cars license plate number. Combined even the poor GED graduate that is our police force might be able to figure out who this person was and be able to arrest them.

Is a Golden Retriever good as a guard dog? I have one but she seems way to friendly 😅. If someone would try to break in, she would start playing with the burglars. I live in Belgium but I'm still very vigilent when my boyfriend works the night shift. We have a camera in the front and backyard. And of course, my doors and windows are always locked.

My neighbor who is the only person I'm cool with in my neighborhood seen me reach in my bush and grab a machete bc kids we're trying to break into cars in our private community I seen them by my car and then jump up and was like SURPRISE MF and my neighbor seen it ran outside and was like bro you really pull out a machete out of your bush?! I said yeah man I'm from NY I was a teenager too and done stupid ish but now I'm grown with a family so protect your family at all cause. As soon as he had his baby he came to my house and asked if I can help him hide a bunch of weapons so he can sleep at night. He knew i got his back. Had to show him the NY protect your family at all cost way! And anyone reading this should do the same! Hide them, map them out, and make sure they in a arms reach!
