what did you do to make it even faster?
Replaced the failing tilt/trim actuator. Allowed engine to be trimmed out a little further.
Do you know the weight of your motor?
Good question, I'd estimate it at about 270lbs, maybe 275lbs. The previous engine was a 1961 800 and it weighed 247 dry. This 1000 has a larger block, hence the increased weight.
