Wouldn’t getting an early manufactory and a counting house which is available at tech 24 more valuable in the long run? Since upgrading the mine really doesn’t do much until the price of copper shoots up through missions and Sweden makes good ducats from Baltic and lubeck node. Can shake down Muscovy for extra cash to upgrade the monument later no?
@@jasonyun1158 hard to tell - we're still speaking about difference between +3 goods produced and some boni from monument vs +1 goods produced until MT11 and extra production efficiency.
@@manageberg yeah I wonder what’s better because the manufactory for copper/silver isn’t too late into the game compared to counting house bonus which will come in way later in the game vs being maybe like 10-15 years late on upgrading it magnificent tier. But the goods produced modifier is crazy with copper price change they can control. Maybe it’s worth a test haha, no doubt the magnificent tier is better in the short run but wonder how close or wide the gap is in the long run
@@jasonyun1158 UPD: I actually counted it. It's quite close, but upgrading monument during the Investment of Falun event is most beneficial in the long run; HOWEVER the difference is surprisingly EVEN CLOSER when using exploit I described in the initial comment but monument is still worth it.

you could annex riga, stab up to 3, release them as vassal, click their mission, make them a march and you have a great subject for wars and trade. Dunno if you can still spawn norse if you turn protestant first but if you can, you could also do that and flip riga to protestant, give them 3 provinces from tueton required for prussia nad boom super rich super op prussia mini march.
For the event you have to be Catholic. For the rebel colony strat it doesn't matter.

I'd love if you made a final part for this series!! It'd be kind of a shame to spend all this time getting Norse to spawn and then not spread your lovely religion to every corner of the globe ;)
If you put the Nobility Integration Policy on after you finish annexing a vassal it still gets rid of the Diplomatic Reputation penalty. (Of course you should still remember to do it earlier for the annexation cost discount).

hey ludi as england you can pick what trade good you want in each colony province and theres a focus to increase the chance of gold being an option, i tried it and got like 10 gold provinces in south africa, you should try it out

Giving the subject integration policy while you have the -3 dip rep modifier removes the modifier IIRC. Make sure you do it when you have the modifier though, I once did it while the event was open and it didn't work.
you could use that war with Austria to restore some polish cores for later PU :)

What I hate is the AI asks you to join a war when you're in the same situation where they wouldn't join yours but if you decline you get all sorts of penalties

Ludi have you ever done a Denmark run in antibellum? you start norse (raid coasts) and you can raise provinces., funniest play run I have done in a lone time. Spoiler when you raid certain provinces yoiu gain claims or get permanent modifiers. ie 5% inf combat ability first raid off coast of Japan. (Berserkir trained by samurai).

The Burgundian Inheritance is way too easy to get imo. Unless Burgundy allies like Spain, you end up being the largest royal marriage. I wish it was harder to get honestly because its not fun getting super op, to the point that I ban it most runs. Its also cool to see the more chaotic things that happen with a free Burgundy or other options
A mean time of 100 years doesn't mean that the event spawns in 100 years.
It means that on average it spawns within 100 years. Could be between 75 and 125 with an even distribution or between 25 and 175 with a bell curve or something completely different.
The Wiki says:
"Mean time to happen 100 years
Modifiers
×0.5:
Is excommunicated
Has activated Religious idea group.png Religious Ideas"
So I would expect the mean time to be 25 years if you have both modifiers and 50 if you have one. So getting excommunicated would have probably meant a lot less alt+F4
I don't believe they stack when they are written like that, else they would be written separately like so:
