    Actually, the death of Ludwig is a hardcoded event that automatically gives Ingolstadt to Landshut between 1445 and 1447 as long as Ingolstadt has no heir. It will never go to Munich. Also, this is the event that gives Ansbach cores on Ingolstadt's provinces.

    • @lucaseckert1690
      @lucaseckert1690 Před 9 měsíci +4

      That is coorect.
      But I assume if the player starts as Landshut it is more likely for Ingolstadt to get an heir.
      Also if the player starts as Munich in almost all outcomes Landshut gets Ingolstadt in the first months as PU.
      In the Bavarian events the odds are always against the real player.
      The amount of restarts I have to do to get the good condition is too damn high.
      Okay I stop the complaining about RNG.
      Thanks for reading.
      PS: Munich is the "correct pick" for the uniting of Bavaria if you want to it with a bit historical roleplay.

    • @FoggyMcFogFace
      @FoggyMcFogFace Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@lucaseckert1690 If Landshut gets the PU though, that cuts down on the wars needed. Imagine if that happens during the war when you've already won, and you get a free second PU as Munich. If it happens all the time, you can work with that. You just need Landshut to have a small alliance web.

    • @lucaseckert1690
      @lucaseckert1690 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@FoggyMcFogFace in this cases often Landshut allies Burgundy or Bohemia. Austria as emperor won't help obvious in internal wars.
      Not worth not to restart.
      The worst thing is winning one PU war but the ruler dies before the opinion is positive. There should be a cooldown truce for this or no truce after the broken pu.
      Don't get me wrong I have more hours than I want to admit in this game with numerous prosperous runs with every of the bavarian & franconian minors, but from my experience the RNG for beginners is awful.
      Sometimes I had to restart 10 times to get a good start.
      If Landshut wins the PU through event and you fight them the combined forces will beat the Munich/Passau troops. This constellation is not manageable for beginners even for better players this is tricky.
      I would like to have a diplomatic solution for the unification, but I understand why it is what it is.
      After beating the first/two war(s) and the unification only a too early rivaled Austria or coalitions could ruin the campaign.

    As far as free cities, someone suggest the strategy to ally them and feed them an extra province so they stop being a free city, I tried doing this in my game and even tough they had vital interest in certain provinces once I gave over occupation they stopped wanting them. They split up, and one army of 10k with no general attacks my army of 20k with a really good general, and yet they win with only 1k losses and I lose 10k and all morale??? And then their 20k army just steamrolls me because the same situation happens, I have 30k with a better general, i have defence bonus and river bonuses, and still get my *** kicked. We have the same troops, why do they keep winning????

I made it to Central America with England and after a lengthy war with the locals got myself access to all the gold and trade nodes. But, as soon as I made them cores, it became a colony, and I went from earning around 10 ducats from gold alone to making 0.75 and if I raise it to any higher tariff amount they’ll rebel. Is there any way around this or do I just have to accept that any attempt I make at colonizing America will just end up with my colony making all the profit and I’m left with barely any income from them after I wasted my men taking that land for them.

Colonies themselves do therefore also make no money from gold, meaning that they may be very weak if you colonize only gold provinces, for this reason it might be worth subsidizing them as well. The money from gold is transported along the trade routes on the trade map mode and can be stolen by privateers from other nations.
      About your war with France, you don't start with lower tech but around 5 years into the game, france may have taken military tech 4 which is a lot stronger than the starting tech level of 3.

    The mission Expand Bavaria doesn't require you own 10 provinces in the Bavaria areas. It's own 10 provinces. Period.
    And you also need to own Oberpfalz or Salzburg or Regensburg.
    You can easily finish it by expanding into Franconia or Swabia, without needing to wait 10 years to annex Passau nor taking Regensburg as a non co-belligerent enemy.

    Imagine dual monarchy of Bavaria-Bohemia as Czechs are culturally more similar to Bavarians than to Austrians. We would be undefeatable beer superpower, Belgium and rest of Germany would be nobodies, drinking their yellow pisswasser instead of Czecho-Bavarian pilsner.
