⭐️ Alright Mudlovers! ⭐️ Don’t forget to watch the time Kev and I found the Mudlarks Hoard! czcams.com/video/SxlpPet2FJU/video.html 👍🏻🐾🧡
The song 19 was about the average age of the soldiers that took part in the Vietnam war Si. Cricket 😂
@@TheWoodlandhoBo Did you not see the record cover?
@@Sifinds The original "19" was by Paul Hardcastle and it WAS about the Vietnam war and 19 being the average age of the soldiers BUT I think the one you are thinking of was a parody version where the words were changed by Rory Bremner which was about cricket - 19 not out.
@@leeandboys You got it Lee👍🏻
Great video Si. Always watch but don’t often comment but you had an amazing time 👍
That sign is amazing! Also wanted to say - I love how Mudlarks are so encouraging and supportive with one another. "Well done, mate," "Great find!," "That'll clean up well!" - always complimenting each other's finds. You Brits continue your reputation of politeness among we Americans, your cousins across the pond. Cheers from New Jersey!
Thanks so much. I always think ‘well if someone else has a good find, be happy for them, as there’s a good chance you will be next’… 👍🏻🧡🐾
Yeah, polite in most cases but their women soccer players are downright bullies! The Aussie team would have won if they were as rough as the POMS!
@@yvonnepagan9912 Did we get any players sent off?
@@yvonnepagan9912stick to cricket 😂
Puxa saco
Hi Si, The version of ‘19’ you remember was a spoof cover of the Paul Hardcastle single from 1985 it had a anti war message and talked about the average age of US soldier that died in the Vietnamese war.
Yes. It’s by The Commentators as shown by the record sleeve I added
Yeah those were the days…. singles with covers!! Love ur videos Si x
@@eyupchuck1235 Cheers my friend! Yes the new generation won’t know what it’s like to stare at an album cover for hours👍🏻
@@Sifindsyep as a teenager I particularly paid attention to the Blondie albums 😊
You must have the patience of a Saint to have cut out all those letters! Looks fabulous ❤
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Your patience and creativity blows my mind 🤯 Best upcycle ever! I absolutely love it!
Thanks so much sweetie! 👍🏻🧡🐾
It wonderful how much history you Mudlarks and detectorists uncover. The museums reap rewards of your labors and you teach us so much. Great “luck in the mucK” on this lark.
Agree with all that JoEllen Cheers 👍🏻🧡🐾
Simon, I've been watching you for years and your creativity never ceases to amaze me! I'm an artist myself but I would have never thought to put those eclectic finds together the way you do to end up with such a truly original one of a kind art piece! Bravo! 😉👍
Thanks so much. Really appreciate that 👍🏻🧡🐾
Hi Simon, great video. The upcycle looks fantastic. Happy making it, you were happy detecting the parts, people smile when they see it…..call her JOY . 😊. ❤️🙏🇺🇸
That’s a great suggestion! Thanks so much👍🏻🧡🐾
Love this!
@@Sifinds Very cute. She also reminded me of a Rosie ( Rosir the Riveter) in training. Rosey was on all the posters encouraging women to do the men's jobs during World War II while the men were off fighting.
I am hooked on mudlarking! I wake up this morning and I find a new video from Si? A good start to the day.
Aw cheers Mark👍🏻🐾🧡
A grasshopper as a family crest cracks me up! Great finds Si!
They do make a lovely sound tho 😉
That sign you made is truly epic, looks fantastic and I love the colours you chose 😁
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🧡🐾
I was so glad when you cleaned up the opening of the spanner to fit the big nut better! Maybe a bit OCD of me, but it gave me a very relieved feeling. And I think those are words to live by, at least in parts of all our lives. Even if it's just the way we choose to wash the dishes, being a spanner can be what makes us ourselves as individuals. Beautiful work, Si!
Totally agree. Cheers Paul👍🏻🐾🧡
Your owl is an exceptional piece of art Si! I recommend naming her "Miss.Lark"!
Love the sign. You could call the little doll, Sally spanner in the works.
Haha. Nice one👍🏻🐾🧡
Nice finds today. A new mate with you on the first part of the video. Also, great to see Cuff again today. It’s about almost a year for me, beings that I was hospitalized three months last year. Great resurrection of your finds today! See you on the next, Si. Enjoy the week ahead. Cheers Si! ❤😊
Cheers Martin! Hope you’re feeling better now matey👍🏻🧡🐾
The mixed media piece is wonderful ! Your up cycled art is fantastic ! Maybe the little girl's name could be "Rosie" like Rosie the riveter during WWII ?
Great suggestion. Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Or 'Rosita'...
That way, she could be a Spaniard in the works. (. _pace_ John Lennon)
Your sign is astonishing, well done. This is such a fantastic video Si. Thank you.
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
I have been following your channel for several years now,and along with all your mysteriously, historical finds, the friendships between all you mudlarkers is truely unsurpassed, you are all blessed!❤
Cheers Delora 👍🏻🐾🧡
Wow! That sign is fantastic. Never get tired of watching you create such great works of art.
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi Si (and friends) from Nevada USA! This was so fun to watch! I was already in love with your sign, then you put the doll on and made it PERFECT! You do rock sir!
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
The unfinished ring is a novelty toy that squirts water. The casting mark is where the water bulb attached.
Spot on
The sign is my favourite ever upcyle! What a fab use of found things. You're very talented, Si. I love watching your videos!
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
What a smashing lark! Lots of knowledgeable guys.
Yes I’m in good company. Cheers Jake 👍🏻🧡🐾
LARK What a lovely old fashioned word, should be used more, yes I love their knowledge 😊
Clever lad love your sign, you sure have patience and I think Hanna the spanner loves it to 😂😂❤❤
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Love the sign Si. I d call her Dolly
Great choice
What a great bunch of larks! You know i am happy when the video involves the 🐥s & Nelly. The upcycle was amazing!!! Definitely see a Glowforge in your future!
How about Rosie - like in Rosie the Riveter?
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
@@theklawilkinson6217great suggestion
Great finds Si. Love what you do with your finds too.
Thanks so much Misty👍🏻🐾🧡
Thanks!
Knocked it out of the factory with that art! That's why you're the King of Craftyness :-) Hannah looks so cute with her spannah. All wonderful finds! I said the same thing when that ointment pot came out whole, 'Yeees!!' :-) xo
Thanks so much for the Super chat! It will go for more crafting materials and of course Sunflower hearts for the chooks. God bless 👍🏻🐾🧡
Love the art work and Anna with her spanner
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
That sign is one of my favourite upycles you've done. Love it! I think you should call the doll Tulula ('Tool'-loo-la. Get it?!) I also love the milk pan, a great bit of social history. Fabulous episode Si, thank you.
Great suggestion 👍🏻🐾🧡
Awww love sean! His enthusiasm and gratefulness is so lovely
Spot on. He’s a diamond geezer
Fantastic up cycle!
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
Still constantly amazed and thrilled by every one’s finds! You are an artiste.

Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Love your sign and the meaning behind it! I'm going to use that phrase!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Thank you ❤
Congratulations 🎉 on your wonderful finds
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Great finds and lovely to have so many other treasure hunters pop in for a visit. I was hoping the spanner would become the post for a lamp but you went a totally different direction.
Cheers. I try and not be too predictable 😉 😊
Love the upcycle!!! It is fantastic.
Thanks so much👍🏻🐾🧡
Epic spanner ! Great upcycle use to display all those cool bits and pieces. Maybe the little girl is called Anna ... ! 😉
Good shout!
Always love the episodes but this one and especially the upcycle was amazing. The sign is just insane. The attention to detail and the way it looks in the man cave, really cool. Beautiful job.
Cheers Heather 👍🏻🐾🧡
Really enjoyed watching the video.
With love from SAM

Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
That art work is wicked Simon. Hannah with the Spanner !
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
The song "19" by Paul Hardcastle came out when I was a senior in high school. The lyrics, combined with MTV video images, made a big impression on my 18 year old mind. I of course knew about the Vietnam War, but somehow this song made it more felt- that and the fact that I was then so close to the same age as those young men who had gone. However, I realize the 19 you are referring to is completely different!
Thanks for all your videos, Si. We love 'em! - Dave & Family from Pennsylvania, USA
Cheers guys!👍🏻🐾🧡
Stunning outcome with your up cycle!!
Thanks so much Scott👍🏻🐾🧡
This is such a cool
Hobby. I’m impressed with the amount of information you find on your discoveries. It’s crazy how so much stuff ends up in the river over centuries. History is often buried.
beautiful art piece you've made at the end! cheers!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Love your ingenuity and talent!!! That sign is awesome! Great finds on your larks…that pot though, wow! 👏🏻⚙️🔧❤️
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
I am always well impressed with your upcycles Si!! I always start out thinking what in the heck is he thinking with this load of stuff but y the end I am so amazed at your creativity!! This one is one of, if not THE best one yet! Well done!
Aw thanks so much Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
It was great when you found the milk measure. My Dad was recorded as ‘a morning milk delivery boy’ on the 1910 census - he was just 12, and would have known containers like this. He worked in Shoreditch.
It's Aesclepius(male) and Hygieia (female).the deity on the ointment jar.
LOVE the upcycle!❤
Brilliant video! I absolutely love that incredible upcycle!!!!! Well done!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Another really enjoyable video, thanks so much, love your videos❤ congrats on your super cannon ball. Awesome find !
Cheers Marie👍🏻🐾🧡
Wonderful finds Si! I must admit I knew straight away what the joke ring was because I am old enough to remember them lol. The little ointment pot is an amazing find, love it! That sign you made is fantastic!! I wish I had your skill and imagination 😃💖 x
Great knowledge! Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Awww Cuffs is taken??!!! Haha! Awesome video/upcycle as usual!
Haha. Cheers Debra👍🏻🐾🧡
Great piece of art there. Good way to use a lot of your finds. Enjoyed this Lark a lot.
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Simon you have all kinds of epic finds Congratulations 👏👏👍♥️🗝️
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
You are so brilliant! So creative ! You should exhibit your work! Hope Mrs Si appreciates you.🙃
Cheers Susan👍🏻🐾🧡
Luck in the Muck indeed! What a trove of historical bits you and your mates found..I love the rescue of the little squishy penguin toy before the jagged rocks would have deflated him for ever! The cannonball is so historic and kind of creepy..everything is cool that you find, but WOW WOW,that Spanner upcycle is epic! My dad would always saw things like "Oh eh, youve gone and put a spanner in the works now!"..funny..sayings..his parents were from Britain..that all brought a smile to my face! Thanks for that cool trip and say a hello to your mates for us!
Thanks so much Joan👍🏻🐾🧡
Great finds Si and your sign is Awesome!! As far as name for sign girl, in America we had Rosie the Riveter, how about Suzy the Spanner? Thanks so much, I love your videos.
Great suggestion 👍🏻🐾🧡
Greetings from Washington state, USA. Fantastic adventures in this video. You had great luck in the muck. The little ointment pot was lovely. So many nice coins and other bits. That sign, you made, was absolutely epic. Your artistry always shines through. Thanks for sharing! A great Sunday morning starts with a mudlarking video from Si. 🙂
Thanks so much Beth. That means a lot 👍🏻🧡🐾
Susannah ! Thank you Si for another enjoyable lark !
Great suggestion 👍🏻🐾🧡
I remember the song 19 by Paul Hardcastle that was #1 in 1985. I was in high school and worked at the local record store. I stocked the 45s every Thursday when the new releases came in. You don't seem old enough to have been around for that. Love your videos! Best wishes from New Jersey!
Cheers Christine. I was alive then, and heard it a few years later on old compilation tapes
44:20 so this is AMAZING!!! I love it 😅
Thanks so much Emily👍🏻🐾🧡
I love the ointment pot. I remember the episode when you found this first one. Also and another incredible up cycle. Cheers!
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
I love your “Cog” sign. So inspirational! ❤❤
Do enjoy watching your finds and your up cycling🍁🍁 The little doll should be called Jenny , for all the farthings you must find. Little bird with a big voice.
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡 great suggestion
Si, your mixed media is always fun, but this is epic! Love all aspects of your work! Thanks for another great adventure in the mud in and in the studio!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
GREAT JOB ❤
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
Cute sign .The river looked lovely at night with all the lights
Cheers Sandra👍🏻🐾🧡
You have the heart and soul of a poet. I love to get lost in your mudlarking adventures. I would call the little worker, Rosie, as in “Rosie the Riveter” from World War II working women posters.
Great suggestion
Wow! I love your sign! You are so creative! And I love how you want to apply the saying to creative options instead of destructive ones.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great video, and your sign turned out very nice Si. Oh, and I would call her "Heady". 🤣
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
Great finds & wonderful history uncovered..
The sign was genius.
Thank you Si.
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Love the sign, you actually captured the idea in my opinion. The words flowing like they do are cool.
Loved the happy chickens ^^ Insane upcycle! As soon as I saw you cutting out those letter I knew this is gonna be a massive project :D
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
I just found this channel and I love it! It has everything! I love that they recycle and sell some of the stuff and throw in the history! It’s a proper channel in every respect!
Appreciate the kind words 👍🏻🐾🧡
Cool sign, Si !! I love it❣️
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
Thanks for the extra venture, in both trips there were some brilliant finds. Loved the little ointment jar, the milk pot and my fav was the cannon ball.
Cheers Kim!👍🏻🐾🧡
That sign gives me EYE SPY LIKE VIBES… LOVE IT!!
Lol. Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
the r whites stoneware at the start had st george and the dragon in the shield! great video as always si...🙂👍🏻
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
I think her name should be "Rosie the Riveter"!! Such an iconic WWll woman! Great job Si!
I agree! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Amazing upcycle!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ the sign Si!! Lady should be called Hannah the Spanna!🤣😂
Very good!
Thanks Si - nice work! Name suggestion: Trudy.
The little Holloways pot is a fab one!! And the sign turned out awesome... Si's got skillz
Cheers Alex! 👍🏻🐾🧡
It is always interesting to see how your creations evolve. And you used a wide variety of finds for this one! Really interesting and fun!!
Bravo Si !!!! Love it !!! The whole vid, your fun friends!!!!! The sensational sign !!!! Sweet kitties and chicks, AND your tickling sense of humor. Sending hugs. Gin
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
That was blooming fan tas tic, Si! How clever you are! I had no idea at all that it could look that good! BESPOKE! You’ll never, ever see another adage / sign like that one. And what a great load of stuff everyone collected. It amazes me that you guys keep finding pipes that differ from all the others found….by all and sundry! Never a dull moment on this channel😊🦘❤️
Well said. Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
Hello Si, sorry if this is just sour grapes to you, but there is a lot of argy bargy going on, and blokes are very aggressive, and that’s always been the case, but I always imagined ladies, girls, women were less, what’s the word I’m looking for, rough? A kick from behind, under an oppositions arm, which causes the ball to hit fair in the face, is not, ‘cricket’. I thought that should have been RED carded, and you would too if it was done by the Ozzie girl!!!! No I’ll feelings to you though. I’m still YOUR fan!
@@yvonnepagan9912 No problem at all mate. We all are allowed our opinion. No dramas. We can’t control what our sportsman/women do on the pitch. We can still be friends and not necessarily agree. Did you see the controversial Ashes stumping by Aussie bowler Alex Carey on Johnny Bairstow? 🏏 There’s always a contentious moment or two between most teams. No one is innocent. Much love. Si
What an incredible upcycle…loved it
Cheers Wendy👍🏻🐾🧡
Beau Travail comme d'habitude🎬🛠🍀😉
I would think that the Deity printed on the Holloways jar would be Asclepius the Greek God of health.
Love that analogy Si! I have always been that Spanner in the works, and survived. Think outside those boxes always! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Fantastic sign!
Cheers Mudlover!👍🏻🐾🧡
Terrific upcycle Si!
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
