Thanks for watching Mudlovers. To see me and Nic on another Mudventure czcams.com/video/t0aEIiO61IY/video.html 👍🏻🐾🧡
You can get send ur lighter off to CZcamsr Tysy Tube restoration. He repairs things like that all the time.
At #2:51 you missed the other bottle opener behind it lol wish I was there noooo 😂
@@michelleg9194 why would I when I can do it myself?🧡
Very Cool Steampunk clock you artfully made with mudlarked pieces and parts, Simon. You always surprise and amaze me with your upcycling. ( :
That was superb si one of those videos you dont want to stop watching
Si deserves his own tv programme. Great personality. Historic items explained with knowledge and humour. Crackin stuff!!
Thanks so much Jerry👍🏻🐾🧡
He's got great personality and sense of humour.
agreed
Si is amazing. So smart an entertaining and loves to share history with us.
Cheers Pat👍🏻🐾🧡
Great video. What a fantastic time we had. Love the upcycle! So talented you are!
Aw thanks so much Nic!! Can’t wait for the reunion 👍🏻🐾🧡
@@Sifinds me too!!
You are an admirable artist too.
Nice first find, the brooch. That vintage opener is great. Lovely little 3pence coin. I love those old keys. That second ‘pendant’ is actually a piece of a Rosary. Pretty green marble. The upcycle was awesome.
Cheers Coni👍🏻🐾🧡
At 9:30 , that looks like the middle piece of a rosary, not a pendant. The 2 loops are on top, the single loop on the botton.
agree that is a rosery centerpiece
You’re on fire thanks
Sundays with Simon ❤ I love the larks with Nicola and when you share other channels too.
Wow..this upcycle is amazing!!
Cheers Lily 👍🏻🐾🧡
I really enjoy when you have Nicola along she’s so lovely! 🤍
I can't even slightly disagree, that lampbox clock is the best bit of upcycling I can recall you ever showing us. I honestly can't even think of a better example, from this or any other channel, of someone taking a piece of crud covered and rusted holey junk and transforming it into a truly unique and beautiful item that I'd be happy to own. If I wasn't so skint I'd be having that!
Oh, and the rest of the video was a fun watch too...
Thanks so much dude👍🏻🐾🧡
Always love the collaborations with Nicola. You two have foreshore mud in your veins. Much respect.
Cheers Doug👍🏻🐾🧡
Ohhh my god, that was a great video. Mudlarking, crafting and even a CAT! That was so wholesome. Love it!
The wood/lead thing looks similar to a lace bobbin. They are used to hand weave lace by hand or maybe that was for fixing lace in a factory. Cool finds.
Good shout👍🏻🐾🧡
@@Sifinds As a lacemaker myself, I very much doubt that that could be a lace bobbin. Sorry.
Could it be for a spindle
I thought it was the top of an umbrella/ parasol
A dirty weekend away with Nicola 😊
No need 🤔
I love assemblage art and the fact that everything was found by you is amazing. Great history and great new look!
Love, love, love your upcycle of the clock!!! ♥️ Your finds are amazing pieces of History. Great day out with Nicola. 😎
Cheers Sis! 👍🏻🐾🧡
just brilliant
wow, LOVE the syteampunk upcycle! You have a fantastic creative approach to presenting your finds. Random thoughts: I really enjoy the way you add/edit-in the cleaned up items after you find them (rather than tacking them all at the end). Also, I really enjoyed this DIFFERENT view of the foreshore. Also, I really enjoy it when you add the cat(s) at the end of your videos. Also, I am aways amazed at the very tiny interesting things you find!
Thanks so much👍🏻🐾🧡
Oh Simon this is the best one you have built yet. So crafty to see and think how things will look. I love it. I don't have any extra money to bid on it but i loved watching you make it all the same. Now i loved the half of a table you did for outside too. But this is so darn cute. I'm glad you two had a great time with your friend .
Cheers Shelley! What a transformation Eh?
I believe the pendant you found at around 9:27 to have been part of a catholic rosary. The three eyelets in the pendant would allow for the beads attached. This was a fun adventure and so good to see Nikola joining you. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Goodmorning Si and Nicola. Love to watch your videos. The piece of pottery at 7.00 is from a dutch company. Lucas Bols, Het lootsje. And there sure wasn`t water in it:) . This company was famous for it`s jenever, or gin as you say. Cheers from the Netherlands
King and queen together again👍good stuff hope you guys have a blessed week
Cheers my friend👍🏻🐾🧡
Hey Si, just an idea, ever thought of doing a little live Q&A on ere? I'm sure your fans and followers have loads of questions about your adventures and mudlarking they'd love to ask you! Maybe set it up in your gorgeous garden (although there is the risk of being upstaged by the cats and chickens!)🤣 Great finds btw. I adored the art deco bottle and you've outdone yourself with the upcycle! 👍
Right away when I see "secret location" I start looking for clues in the video. What a wonderful place to medlark. So interesting how you found a lot of jewelry pieces, not only do you have a good eye for them but how could there be so many? It really is a secret place!!
Yes and I’m not gonna tell 😉
Your clock design is genius . Upcycle extraordinaire.
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi Si, I had a lighter exactly that model given to me in 1969, then I gave up smoking in 1971 and never smoked again. I loved the silver three penny bits when young in the 40s but even then they were disappearing. The rusty lamp now clock was great. I think it looked a bit like the sort of torch that policemen wore on their belts, right shape but I could not see the bit on the back to slot it on the belt. And I must be very archaic because I used Airwick fresheners when a young married.
Lol cheers Julie👍🏻🐾🧡
We Do Miss those bad kitties! ;) Interesting new Mudlark destination- Thanks for taking us with you.
Cheers CD👍🏻🐾🧡
My 2 favorite Mudlarkers. Great finds!
Cheers Misty👍🏻🐾🧡
What a nice surprise it was to see Nicola there!! You found some really great items. Good for you!!
I’m watching your old episodes so I see all your treasures. Onto the next video!!💃🏼💃🏼
Enjoy!!
The shard you found at 7:06 is from a keramic bottle of Lucas Bols, Jenever distiller in Amsterdam. He started distilling when glass was still a luxury item and so those stone bottles "kruik" was the way to bottle his product. Actually still does. Bols is a big brand now exporting all over the world! In Russia Bols vodka is known to be quality.
I’m a big fan of Mud Bagger! Good to see you guys together! 😊
Fantastic up-cycle. You are truly talented. Love the videos. And thank you again for the awesome gold link necklace. Everyone that sees it loves the story behind it. 😊❤❤
What a fantastic mudlark and you 34:34 34:34 had some very great finds too! I think what you did with the the little light, turning it into an art piece clock was amazing! It is one of a kind for sure! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤️❤️
Hi Si, Nicola, headed for another adventure I see. A secret location 😮. Very cool. Si, that piece of “jewelry” at time 9:08, I’m almost certain is the first medal on Rosary beads. One set of links hangs from the bottom hole with beads on it.The other two holes connect to beaded necklace. I believe the face you see is the face of Virgin Mary”the ghostly face “. I’m Catholic, I don’t know if you know what a Rosary is. Look it up you’ll see. That’s old because of the wire held the beads. It is definitely a blessed object. Very cool. Loved the up cycle. Look forward to seeing Nicola’s video. Cheers. Joyce❤️🙏🇺🇸
Love this steam-punky upcycle! I can't help but wonder what the original purpose of the item was, and who last held it in their hands before it went into the river. Thanks as always for your consistently excellent content, Simon. Cheers from NE Florida!
Cheers Brenda. It was a torch / flash light
Nice one Si you and Nicola make a great team😮😮😮
Cheers Peter👍🏻🐾🧡
I remember my father having that lighter. 1930's light fitting??? Ring is lovely. Ditto blue and white germanware. What a location! Wowzers!!!!! Wowzers!!!
Lol cheers Terrie👍🏻🐾🧡
Si, you are the Mr Roger's of the Thames. The program is always fun, informal, creative, educational and, above all, soothing! Even the music is reminiscent of Mr R.!
I don’t know who that is… but I’ll take it as a compliment 👍🏻🐾🧡
It is a great compliment. Mr Rogers was the host of a childrens program for decades here in the US. He was definitely a force for good in the world. It was called Mr Roger’s Neighborhood.
@@melodiek5282 ah cool. Roger that
@@Sifinds OMG! MR ROGERS! He is the milk on our cereal, the ray of sunshine in the am!
"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...won't you be my neighbor?" Started his 5o+ years on a daily children's program filmed in New York. Tom Hanks portrayed him in a movie recently. He passed before covid hit. I miss him.
It's such a cool upcycle, OMG . A GRAND Salute to you, Simon . Really enjoyed the whole video. Love the cust iron Coca-Cola bottle opener 👌. Enjoy your work 👍
With love from SAM
Guwahati, Assam, India 🇮🇳 ♥️
Cheers Sam. Keep on running brother👍🏻🐾🧡
It is amazing no matter where you are in the world the treasures keep coming, it seemed to be a day for jewellery, whether whole or a piece, wonderful upcycle and glad your friend made it in the end, look forward to the next vid
Cheers Kim! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Wow! What a great piece of art! You are amazing! So skilled...a perfect steampunk clock!
And...of vourse it is SI !!.it might have been something else...earlier...🤪 but now it is yours!
Greetings from Sweden🇸🇪👍
Only you Si can take a rusty old box and some mudlarking finds and make an adorable PC of art! Well worth all that work well done!
Thanks so much Linda👍🏻🐾🧡
that blue milk-glass marble is pretty sweet. Rod of Asclepius is another thought on the SI. it is used widely around the world as medical org symbol
Cheers Martha! Good shout 👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi Simon. Your pendant at 4:30 says Ricordo, remembrance or souvenir in Italian.
Ahhh thank you so much!!
Another brilliant installment. The little religious pendant that you thought might be an earring is the central piece of a rosary. So the figure is likely Mary. The beads would run to the two holes at the top and a line of beads and crucifix hanging from the bottom loop. Some nice religious finds there.
The upcycle was amazing.
That one pendant was part of an old rosary. I'm Catholic and it looked quite familar. I don't know if you know any Catholics. That was part of a blessed object. It should be buried if its beyond repair.
Love the Simon shirt. I had one of those in the 1980s. 👍😎
The little peces with 3 loops is a piece of a rosary.
That ring is gorgeous!!
Ah thanks Esther👍🏻🐾🧡
WHAT a fantastic upgrade on that old lamp!! LOVE the clock!
Cheers Jacki 👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi Si, that pendant that you found I do not think that's Mary, I think it is St Rita of Cascia and the other item that you thought that was a pendant it is a part of a rosary beads . Thank you for sharing your interesting videos , love watching them❤
I love the clock! The size and shape reminded me of a Sony Walkman, so as soon as you mentioned a clock, 'watchman' popped into my head.
Another gorgeous piece made for pieces of the past!
Cheers Paul 🕰️
9.38 looked like a rosary fitting
Simon first off i would like to welcome the new King and Queen, the coronation was absolutely stunning and i hope you were able to enjoy it by being there as much as i did watching it on the telly. It's always wonderful to see you and Nicola on the Thames hunting for treasure. You are both my favorite mudlovers, and it's always a pleasure watching the both of your videos. Thats a lovely white clay mold. Art found, and i will be adding him to my videos. Until next time, take care my friend
Your friend from Oregon USA 🇺🇸
Great video love the up cycled clock you made. I make clocks to out of some pretty weird stuff, shoulder blade of a old dead cow, won grand champion in the fair on it. Old wooden toilet seat, old records old dishes, and so much other things. Keep the videos coming love them.
Haha. That is crazy, I love it
What a cool up cycle. One of a kind❤ Always a treat to see one of your upcycles.
Cheers Lynne👍🏻🐾🧡
I love what you've done with the lamp, Si. It looks fantastic and I love the Steam punk theme.
Cheers.
Oh wow! I absolutely love your upcycle. Clever you. ❤
Thanks so much👍🏻🐾🧡
Sweet finds! So good to actually see Mud Bagger's face.
Wonderful finds! I love the upcycle! Very steampunk! I have used JB weld not to just weld things together but it fills holes in metal as well, I have used Devcon metal patch & fill to fix a few old things in the past, it worked pretty good for me. Awesome video!
Happy Sunday muddies ❤
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡

Cheers dude!! Yeah do it!!
Each time I think the upcycle can't get any better you outdo yourself.. Wow!! Love that clock.. 😍 Thanks Si!
Thanks so much Petri 👍🏻🐾🧡
Hiya, Mon from Australia. You are bloody amazing Si, that old lamp that looked like it would crumble to bits, is now a gorgeous one off clock. Probably last another 50yrs. Up cycling to the max. Love it. Cheers and happy mudlarking ✌💕😊
The aluminium pendant with 3 holes is part of a rosary necklace and the ghostly figure is Mary Si
Si, great upcycle🥰 The SI bit looks to me like a dollar sign💰. And my guess is, that it was part of a money clip.
Now you made mudlarking very interesting by creating such a beautiful sculptural clock. Good job.
great find guys.
Cheers John 👍🏻🐾🧡
Loved your wonderful video you always find such beautiful treasures. Love the steampunk clock repurposed, stunning piece. Have a great week Simon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

Great bling finds Si. It was nice seeing you out mudlarking with Nicola. The upcycled clock looked fantastic!😊
Amazing Clock Si, I love it. You're so creative.
Such a cool clock!
Great fun to watch, wish I were there but in USA. You found the center medal for a rosary -- medal with a bit of chain and three links,; and that brown marble which you called glass might have been a German Bennington -- imported here mid 19th century to WWI -- a glazed pottery marble. The browns are most common, then blues, and you can identify Bennington by the bumps like moon craters left where marbles touched one another in the kiln. Pinks are valuable here, green can be too. Liked the ring you found and the wonderful piece you created. (Was that a transistor radio once? It's the shape of ones we had in the 1960s and early 70s. Alas I'm that old, bit creaky for mudlarking.) Happy hunting!
Great finds! Wonderful up-cycle! Good times with good friends! 🎉
Cheers Deb!👍🏻🐾🧡
First medal was either Our Lady of Lasalette or St Clare, and the other three hole med was a Rosary medal with an image of Mary.
That clock ⏰ you made is awesome 👌 you got a real talent m8, it's amazing that where there's muck there's brass. I can't believe all but the watch face was salvage scrape bits of clocks cogs etc, brilliant 👏
The back of the pendant says "Ricordo", Italian for "Souvenir". The artifact at 9:25 comes from a rosary (the Hail Mary).
Really enjoyed watching you mudlarking in the secret place and it was full of great finds. You did a fab job with the clock, love it !!
Cheers Jill👍🏻🐾🧡
Love the creative upcycle! Very steampunk and inspiring ❤
