Here in Norway we pay for the bottle as well as the drink and when it’s empty we pop them in vending type machines and get that money back. almost all bottles like this are returned to the shops, but it’s not perfect as there are certain types of plastic bottles that aren’t included in this system. When I lived in London, I always felt awful about bottles just becoming rubbish

There was a similar system Here in the UK for pop and maybe beer bottles but it finnised in the 1980's there are plans afoot to bring somthing like it back if the politicians and various parties can get their act together. at least one supermarket Co. has machines that take plastic bottles and give tokens to spend in store, more stores should take it up.

I agree we should just have stayed with glass. At least in a few states here there is a deposit on plastic you get back when you return it. Used to go collecting bottles as a kid to get ice cream money. Free clean up, kids stay busy and make a little money. Win win! Take care. Love the artwork

I found two of those amusement only tokens in Escanaba, MI on the shore. They were the size of a penny and had a hole in the middle. I was told by a collector they were made in the 1920s-30s and used in a "3 wheel bandit" gambling machine. These were common in various varieties. They were usually paired with particular "gambling" amusement machines and could be "cashed out" with the establishment proprietor thus staying under the radar of the law. Really great find!

Are the old coins worth anything? If not, you can do as you do with the bottlestoppers and put it on your website. That does look more like a handle than a grenade.the design on the paste jar reminds me of the Celtic designs. Love the history of items and makers at end.

It’s a weight from a cook-coo clock I think, shaped like a long pine cone

I love seeing your finds. It takes a real fine eye to spot the smaller bobbles and coinage. The research you add really completes the finds. Love the history and the stories! Well done!
PS Dodgy American coins is right! Maybe soon we're going back to the gold standard.👍🏼

Lots of coins! 😍 I have been out mudlarking on the early morning tides of today and yesterday and though it wasn't enough for a bag of chips amongst other finds I did find £1.20 😂
Love the pile of type that you found.... was any of it the Dove type? I always love finding type! 😍
Well done on the plastic litter pick up at the end 🤗 -picked up a load of plastics and rubbish too over the weekend👍
