למה לקלקל בקבוקים של מעל 100 ויותר שנים בשביל שטויות ? חבל
When I'm beach combing I take a couple of fine-mesh net bags and fill them with all the clutter and park them above the strandline for later retrieval. One for trash - one for treasure!
When I was a kid, my family would go to my aunt and uncle’s camp on an island on a lake in New Hampshire. On Saturday, my Dad and uncle would go treasure hunting. I still have some of the bottles my Dad found. This brings me back to those days. ❤ Thank you!
Sounds like heaven!👍🏻🐾🧡
Nice story. Thank you
Hi which lake? I live in MA. Was it Winnepesaki?
That’s so great!!😍
@@kreed-yz6rr It was!
That ginger jar is a beauty! I appreciate some of the clean ups shown just after the finds, the history & creative up-cycles. Thank you!
Thanks so much Lea👍🏻🐾🧡
Well done Si, It's rare for people to have no talent but many don't find or use it. It's great to see you utilising so many of yours. Cheers Sam.
Cheers Sam! Yes I think everyone can be creative as long as they aren’t too afraid to try👍🏻🐾🧡
Even British people dissing each other sounds super polite. We need more polite dissing in America.
This video made my heart race!!! The purple vase, the ginger jar, the million pieces of pottery …. THE BLUE BALL!!! 💙😮💙 I’m feeling quite light headed! 😂
Must remember to be lying down when I watch part two. This place is dreamy x
Yes was a brilliant blue color!
Dreamy indeed! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Like if heaven had a mudlarking section
That blue ball reminds me of the Japanese fishing floats we found so often on the beaches of Alaska when I was a child. They are more rare now as the Japanese have gone from the blown glass balls to plastic for suspending the edges of their nets in the water. Most were a blue green color, but they did make some that were cobalt blue.
You feeling sorry for the wonky ink bottle is exactly why you are so engaging to watch. 🧡
Wow, couldn't believe how much stuff there is there. I love the blue glass bulb and the way the light reflected through it. I also love what you've done with the resin, colours and bottles. They turned out spot on. We'll done Si, looking forward to the next half. 😊 Lyn.
Cheers Lyn👍🏻🐾🧡
Daisy has the absolute tiniest little meow I've ever heard ☺💖😺
Tous ces objets sons historique, good spot,c'est très bien de les sauver!!Thank 👍👍👍
Merci à toi 👍
Super passion!@@Sifinds
Bottles everywhere awesome..... upcycle.
Enjoy. Anticipated for part 2 . 😊
With love from SAM
Guwahati, Assam, India 🇮🇳 ♥️
Cheers Sam. Keep on running!👍🏻🐾🧡
Well, I could spend a week on a spot like that, so many tiny little treasures. I liked the idea with the candle making as well your beautiful resin poison bottles! Mark's vehicle looks so cool! Hugs to you boys! xx
Cheers Pirjo! I had to drag myself away👍🏻🐾🧡
Great finds ….my basement windows have only lined old bottles instead of curtains from an abandoned ghost town in British Columbia….I love all the COLORS ……thank you Si…I love how these finds are brought back to life ❤🇨🇦
Thanks so much!! Sounds like a great collection you have
Oh my Giddy Aunt! I wanted to leap through the screen and grab every thing in sight! Such amazing old bottles and unusual pieces out there.... "what have you got in your mouth? Oh no.." 😸🙀🐾🐭 xx Teresa❤🇦🇺
Love the 30-second upcycles!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Mate that was awesome. You really were spoilt for choice there. I would have taken everything and weighed the hovercraft down. 😂
Aloha Si & Mark...I love that Ginger jar you found...Score! That creek is loaded with treasures...Like a Victorian tip
I didn't notice very many metal objects in that spot. I wonder if that would be a place to search with the metal detector. The occasional coin or piece of jewelry does end up getting thrown out with the trash in some cases.
Good idea for next time!
Love H3 but miss Steve. That was some honey hole. Hope y'all get to go back often. Nice that you gave Daisy some daisies! Like the Nelson cameo to! Great upcycles & resin art.
He’ll be back… cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Just amazing! I have numerous little bottles like that I have dug up here in Nevada, never thought about doing what you did! Thanks for the idea, I’m going to borrow it, lol! Well done on the hunt brother!
Yeah Scott, gives them a new life! Fun to experiment with colours too!
Great start to a Sunday morning! Thank you!! 🎉
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Hey, you should try single colour resin in the bottle, Guarantee more people would choose that to purchase.
Yaaa bit boring
Pumpkin flask name came up in a search... as a tenant in this building: Jamaica Wine House, 12 St Michaels alley, St Michael Cornhill EC3 (1899/Edward John Rose & Co, with various dates right up until 1971) and the building still stands. Many ginger jars get found here in Canada, in dump digs, especially in early railway and mine dumps, having had many Chinese workers in those camps. Wonder what steamship china and such could be found mudlarking there where the steamships used to dock....the bus boys/room cleaners were usually on a time crunch and many times the china was tossed out of the port holes of the ships into the harbors....Some of the china can hold some decent values, also.
Awesome! What search function did you use? Or was it on page 827373292 of Google? Well done!
@@Sifinds Just a general Google Search, for: "Edward John Rose" and Co, and it was a few results down. Being in the antiques biz, I research lots on Google, so seem to have developed a knack to find some obscure listings.
You are so retro hippie with uour colored resin. We used to put colored wayer in bottles and place them on window sills for sun catchers. Thanks Si. Spectacular spot to lark.💜
I found on old Pepsi bottle in the stream while trout fishing one day. I drug it home and scrubbed the crud off the outside. The inside had a layer of something covering the glass that made it look cruddy. I tried to scrub it with a bottle brush but no luck. It was too tough. It seemed I needed an abrasive. Well, I pour about an inch of kosher salt in, covered the opening, and shook it like hell for a couple minutes. Crud was all scrubbed off. That bottle sits on my sister's sill above her kitchen sunk to this day.
Wow! You were finding some beautiful bottles!! You weren’t kidding when you said it was a honey hole!! Great finds Si !!!
I love that pumpkin(Your description.) style/bottom shape bottle that you found, it’s so cool!! The perfect, all in one piece ginger jar was totally cool too and I love the crackle look on these vintage/antique pieces!!😃
The little jar/vase that you sanded the top down, that would’ve been a really nice hat pin holder too on a ladies dresser or vanity. Good for you, I love it!!
😆 As I watch you put back in the water, this little, beautiful bottle😱 and then a few seconds later you wrote up on the screen, I have to be selective. I just started laughing. I’m like, No keep it!!😂
I love your artistic style. The bottles are beautiful!! Cat 🐈 not included? Darn!!☺️
Thanks for a great video!!!😻
Who doesn’t love a good old muddy treasure hunt, eh? So fun watching you mud larkers uncovering all those historic items!
100% with you on the duck eggs, huge yolk and small white. 🦆🥚
Have you tried Goose eggs. #mindblown!!
Oh yes! Quick way to fill a pan. I was lucky enough to grow up on a small holding, ducks geese and chickens everywhere.@@Sifinds
@@shishkebab5306 lucky you!
You should consider bringing a plastic sled and a inflatable raft to tow back your finds mud lover . By the way the shark is great!
That ginger jar looks much older than 100 years. It's 2023 , that jar went for a trip in the early 1800s that's 200 years my man. Nice find
been waiting all day for You Si best part of my Sunday
You found some fantastic finds this time that Alley gob looking.
Bottle was very interesting. I've never seen one like that And the Ginger jar and the purple perfume bottle Are some really cool finds.
Cheers Trina👍🏻🐾🧡
My son recently pulled a whole ginger jar from our pond in West Sussex! I was amazed to see it has the same illustrations on it as yours. The only real differences I can see is the mountains in the background of yours are more shaded. I can clearly see a little figure on mine but it is not quite so obvious on yours, (although it is there). Safe to say I believe that it was hand painted by the same artist.
Great finds. I really like the ginger jar and the purple bud vase. You definitely should go back there again. Cheers from Michigan.
Great finds. If i lived there i would be mudlarking all the time.
I bet! 👍🏻🐾🧡
I love that blue glass ball!!
Howdy Si from Midland Texas! I really enjoy watching your mucking in mud! You might consider using a couple of your bottle finds matching or duplicate finds to create an hour glass! Continue having some luck in the muck!
Nice idea! Thanks for joining my mudventures!! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Love the ginger jar. Yes duck eggs are lovely but I eat quail eggs every day, they help my IBS and I've even stopped taking medication for it those little eggs are marvellous 🇬🇧
Eggcellent! 🍳
The up-cycled bottles look mystical and are just fantastic! Haha Daisy wants mice, not flowers. 😻
Wow that place is unreal... id amass a collection of tiny bottles in a day!! Daisy and Nelly being very cat like lol.
Good hunting human and cat! Love the potion bottles . what a creek.wow!!
Haha. Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
My Mum uses to give my sister and I Fennings Fever Cure when we had a cold, this would have been in the 1950s. I loved the taste of it.
The ginger jar is super nice❤
What a lot of stuff there was there. Just shows you whats out there in places most peiople can't get to.
I love the little purple bottle too,the one you put the flowers in.
Si, I like the way you are doing your videos now.
Nice candle, Si. Pretty little pumpkin bottle. The fancy glass piece is lovely. I love the crackling on the ginger jar. Lovely iridescence on that bottle, and your upcycle was great. A beautiful piece, that blue sphere. Oh, your resin filled bottles are so colorful and so pretty. Imagine them on a window with the sun shining behind them.
Thanks Coni! Yes the potion bottles pleased me
Weird, I know a bloke in Cowes on the Isle of Wight by the name of Barry Sowerby. Obviously not the same one. But strange none the less. Good video Si. 😀
Have you asked him if he wrote the paper?
I absolutely love all the small interestingly shaped bottles. Sometimes I buy a bottle of something at the store just because of the shape of the bottle. That is truly a treasure trove for a scavenger like me. :D
What a fantastic restoration of the Slough Fort. I will definitely make a trip there without fail BRILLIANT JOB
Have you ever tried cutting out the round glass labels and doing something with them..like perhaps making a wind chime with them? They could catch the light and create a sweet sound (maybe).
The candle looks much better in the cup. Great idea!
Best upcycle yet!!!
You should do card labels on strings from the lid, then it wouldn't get in the way of the light.
That flower holder is a beautiful color.
You should turn any of the small poison bottles that have a broken/chipped necks into guitar slides
Yeah I did that in the past👍🏻
Wow that was incredible! I loved seeing the fort. I am so jealous of those kids that get to fire that artillery gun!
Some super 👌 old glass bottles ❤,such wonderful finds in the that old creek 😍. Thanks for sharing 👍, best wishes Simon and Beth ❤❤❤
Cheers Mudlovers!👍🏻🐾🧡
It’s a “Wet” Dream Si 😊
Lol cats love creative owners. Hoping you make something special for them.😊
I do everyday! Their dinner 😂
Happy to see another hovercraft video ! It's been a long time since we have seen one !!
That's a neat idea to put the coloured resin in those bottles 👍🇨🇦
Just the greatest as always 😊❤️
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Omg I would be such a hoarder if I lived there! Your resin bottles turned out beautiful. I always love your creations!
You are so lucky to live somewhere with such finds. Love your Lava bottles, very pretty 🙂
We are! Cheers Karen👍🏻🐾🧡
wow, those colors in the resin look so good! definitely a treasure creek, I really like the little ginger jar and the cup that turned into a candle...
Hola Simón ,todo me gusto per lo que me encanto ese botellón azul o morado es bello ,muy buen video .Benficionez para ustedes ❤❤❤❤
Gracias Sylvia👍🏻🐾🧡
Been watching your channel for awhile and you’re not joking when you said “ been out numerous times and haven’t spotted anything but this place is like where do I look first” that first bottle was amazing, found myself going over there Si nope over there, whoa you just passed over a nice piece.
Amazing place right!
@@Sifinds it truly is, as you said “ A mudlarkers paradise” and I forgot to mention in my last post I had just thought to myself Si’s found some pretty interesting bottles and bits and bobs the only thing he hasn’t found is a clay pipe, then the next thing you found was the pipe bowl. And till this day I still say your greatest find in my mind was that absolute beautiful bust of Queen Victoria. You’ve had some great ones along the way but that’s got my vote for #1
I love that wick setting metal item you used with that candle makeover. Handy! Never saw one before..
Hi Si, 👋 love that candle!!! ❤❤❤👍👍👍👍 My favorite of all your finds
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi Si, information you asked for from The London 1899 Public House and Publican Directory.. Jamaica Inn, Edward John Rose & Co., St. Michael's Alley, Cornhill, London EC., also Edward John Rose & Co., 103 Shoreditch High Street, Jews Harp. Hope this is useful for you! I have visited the Jamaica Inn lots of times as I worked in Cornhill in the 70s. Cheers!
Hi Si, another great adventure and beautiful up cycles. Cheers 🍺🍺. Joyce❤️🙏🇺🇸
Cheers Joyce👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi,Si ! I think that you should have brought the onion bottle shaped ( stoneware ? ) jar/ vase with the stripe of bright yellow glass attached, home with you. It looked like an art piece from the quick look that you showed us. It might have been nothing, but it was interesting to me.😁
I think it was a glass vase 🏺
The hand painted ginger jar was a great find!
Just "WOW", what an intro.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
SI that is a honey hole woo-hoo that was an amazing place and video thanks 😊
Cheers Dawn!👍🏻🐾🧡
I also love your little fluffy predators. Cutest kitties ever! (until the next murder mittens I see)
Hello there Si, hope you are well darling, it's always lovely watching you on your larks😂,l absolutely love the little fairy wishes caught within those beautiful little bottles, keep warm xxAnna ❤
Cheers Anna👍🏻🐾🧡
Kitty got a mouse 🤪 Beautiful work !!!
I saw a chandelier made from Japanese sake bottles. You could do the same with bottles from this location, no problem. Sell them to pubs and restaurants. Make friends with a blacksmith to make the structure and electrician to wire them.
I was wondering when HHH would again grace our screens, so happy to see yous back in the muck! I think your treasure hunting cat would enjoy tagging along - not sure you'd enjoy cleaning her up afterwards! Have fun!!
When you said what the heck, then I’m not going back there! Great larking adventure!
I love the wonky melted bottles.
Loved the creative shots at the creek especially the bucket to sky shot. Upcycle was great too.
Cheers Joellen 👍🏻🐾🧡
The blue crystal ball looks like the Death Star!
I’d love to spend a couple of hours digging there, so much fun. Your up cycles are fantastic Si.
Cheers Dons👍🏻🐾🧡
14:41 Thats a bong...LOL
Haha!
per the “edward john rose & comp” bottle, i believe you found information on that company during the last video you posted on this spot back in July. You found a bottle that had “ej rose & co” on it and you included some history about it
Another brilliant video,we loved it😊 ❤ Claire n pixie x😊
Hi guys!! 👍🏻🐾🧡
I love a ginger jar, my Nan used to collect them.
Love that ginger jar!!! What a fab find. ❤❤❤
I know! It’s so cool
duck eggs are the top dog, the yolk so orange, brilliant in sponges and cup cackrs as well as fried
Stop it, my mouth is watering. … and a pinch of salt too 😂
I bet you could spend a whole year mucking around in this creek and still not find all the treasures🫙☕️🍯! Loved the ones you did find! Wonderful upcycles especially the purplish “ posy” vase! 💖
Cheers Stacy, yes it turned out great!
awww! I wanted to bid on the vase but because I like in US I cannot! I am heartbroken! Darn it! I wish you would put some of the neat things you make on your Etsy store so we could buy them! Some of those neat poison bottles would be nice and a couple stoppers for these neat bottle I bought that need them! I love your videos. But your cats? I love them most of all. You give Nellie a special kiss and hug from me.
I don’t know why you can’t bid on them. Have you signed up to Ebid? I’ve had other Americans successfully use it in the past. You don’t live on a remote mountain or something do you?
It's so amazing to me how much you have to pick and choose from there....here in Central America and US there isn't as much or as old (for obvious reasons)😅
RUN MRS. NELSON RUN!, HE'S COMING FOR YOUR MOUSIE!!
Exciting place. Nice finds . My parents used to put colored water in corked bottles and placed them in the windows, especially the super stretched coke bottles. Wonderful idea with the resin. 🙂
Lovely idea that! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Love these videos.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
I enjoyed our trip out there now the birds have finished nesting and raised their young 👍 lets pop out on Baby shark 🦈 as soon as possible m8.
Muck in the luck part 3
Absolutely!!!
I love places like that I'd be there for hours. Just an idea that egg cup it could be used as a little retro chair for a dolls house or something.
