Hello from the San Francisco Bay Area! I’m always amazed at the variety of things you find. What do you suppose steel reefs are for? Musical instruments? Corsetry? Basket making?
We work around the tides...the aim is to get a good couple of hours (or more) either side of the low tide. We check the daily tide tables to see when they happen. So, all different times! Even night time!

5:17 that bone - could it have been a needle bone, used to sharpen needles? It looked like it had ridges on the end
Ah, you mean a pinners' bone? I don't think so. I do have one of those in my collection though, and they are one of my favourite finds!
