  • In this video we use different tools to shape our text into a mountain shape, we’ll be using the envelope deformation LPE or live path effect, the tweak tool and we’ll also use the nodes tool to make some adjustments. These techniques can be used to on other projects to create the look you want.

This effect works well for T-shirt designs, logos, banners and more.
In this tutorial, I’m using the latest version of Inkscape - Inkscape 1.2.2 (At the time of recording - adjustments have been included for Inkscape 1.3

Thanks for your support, have been a bit side-tracked with other things the last few months, hopefully get back to making a few more video now.

Thank you for the info about recording the vid on one version of Inkscape, but how to complete the exercise in the brand-new version.

I'd recorded and part edited the video a few months ago, but hadn't had time to finish it. The tools covered in the video haven't changed significantly since 1.2 - The Path effects dialog now has a drop down menu as default instead of the pop up menu, but other than that the functionality is pretty much the same, except for converting the text to a path (which I covered in the video). I thought it would be a waste of time and effort to re-record the whole video. Hope you still found it useful
